My friend and stay at an embassy suite hotel every year for our Christmas trip. This was the worst embassy suite that we have ever been too. Whole place needs updating and the breakfast was terrible

This was probably the top 5 WORST hotel experiences I have ever had. We were looking forward to staying here because of the Embassy Suites reputation. However, upon checking it, I realized that this hotel does not deserve the name. When I checked in, there was a very disorganized line up of guests in the lobby (people hovering around waiting to speak to someone) and there was only one person working the desk. The man was not friendly at all (probably overwhelmed with the lobby chaos) and I was rushed through check in, given a room key, and asked to sign for the charges. I wasn't even told what room number we were staying in - so I looked at the room key card to figure that out myself. When booking through hotels.com I was given a receipt which included room cost & taxes and the parking charge is $12.50 (totaling around $165). Following the stay, my credit card was charged around $180. Wee did not make any other room charges while we were there.
When inquiring about the OVERCHARGE, I was told...that is how it is. Embassy suites refused to do a partial refund and I was never given a receipt to even explain the surprise charges. The stay was also VERY BAD. It was very loud in the hallway until around 12:30pm & my daughter couldn't sleep. The breakfast was good but they were out of pork sausage and only had turkey sausage. The room was clean and spacious. I would never stay at this hotel ever again, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

We love staying at this hotel! The suites are a good size and it is in a great area - near food and shopping. The breakfast is fantastic - made-to-order omelets and lots of other options. We also love the evening reception with the complimentary drinks and snacks.

My husband and I have been coming three for years and trust and believe we can see the difference. The quality of this hotel has gone down. The furniture and carpet is worn and dirty. And the tub was not cleaned at all. However, the stuff was very nice and helpful, which I really appreciated it. We would hate to stop coming here because it's in a great location. Nevertheless, the hotel needs to be updated, or thoroughly cleaned. Thanks Uvonne

My stay was very good. The hotel is located near shopping, restaurants and entertainment. I appreciated the daily hot breakfast with made-to-order omelets and the evening reception for guests. My only complaint is the limited cable selection; I hoped to have access to Netflix or Prime, but that was not doable.

Only one issue with the room - the toilet roll holder fell off the wall and maintenance was unable to fix it. Only one issue with the outside grounds - the rear trash receptacle was full and never emptied all weekend.
We loved the spaciousness of the room, the cleanliness, and the excellent complimentary breakfast.

The Embassy suites is not the place it used to be, the facility was dirty and noisy. For breakfast I had someone serve me what I was to eat instead of choosing what I was eating like times in the past. They did not have a cook making fresh omelets like in the past. I also paid $12.50 to park in your parking lot even though I was staying at your hotel.

During our stay we had someone call tge room phone and say “I’m going to kill you”, we went to the front desk and informed the person that was working, she laughed and said there was nothing she could do and a manager wasn’t available until after the holiday weekend (Labor Day). The second night had another phone call that stated “ the plane was landing, and I’m coming for you”. Again, told another clerk at the front desk that didn’t seem concerned, and said there was nothing that they could do because a manager wasn’t there. Never had an issue there before, just really disappointed that the clerks just brushed it off as if it was nothing. Didn’t even apologize.

The staff is genuinely friendly here. From the front desk, to the security guys to the lady making our complimentary drinks at happy hour. Breakfast was great. I wish they cleaned the pool properly instead of having chlorine with a touch of water for a pool. The women's bathroom was out of service at the pool, too. We loved how they had towels on each chair at the pool, it felt like a nice touch. Our room cards kept getting deactivated, we went through at leasf 5 cards during our weekend stay, not a huge deal but it felt like an inconvenience having to constantly do this, especially being on the 6th floor. The front desk said they weren't sure why it kept happening, they were friendly the whole time. And it certainly wasn't their fault but hopefully they bring this up to upper management. We wanted to take a bath but you could tell the bathtub was not cleaned but more like wiped down. Overall we had a nice weekend stay, they did have a full house, and I'm sure staff did their best to keep things moving. We will be back again.

Hotel looks nice from outside but I was not impressed with the staff or anything else. Went to check in and the lady was rude to begin with. I’d never stayed at an embassy suite before so I didn’t know there was a $50 incidental fee for each night. Was not prepared for that. Plus it was $12.50 a night to park at that hotel. If you stay for 3 nights it’s $37.50 plus $150. We only had 3 towels and 1.5 rolls of toilet paper to start. Found a human nail on the suitcase cart. Was not from us. All our nails are real. Pool water was cold. Little children in hot tub unsupervised. Tried to ask for a manager and the lady I spoke with said she was one when indeed she was not. Then the front desk manager upon check out was rude also. Just because my license says I live in NC doesn’t mean I’m from there.

The staff was wonderful. Breakfast had lots of options and the custom omelette station is a great touch. The daily Happy Hour is generous and it feels like an old school place that really cares about their customers. Pool needs some love. Room needed to be detail clean but it was spacious and quiet.
