The hotel isn’t terrible, but my room has lots of stains on the carpet and furniture. (Not pictured is the giant dark stains on the carpet.)
There was a huge rip in the top bedding cover that couldn’t have been missed, so it just must be considered acceptable there.
Also, some genius decided to install the carbon monoxide detector directly above the bed, so the glowing greenish/yellow light hits your face just right while you lay in bed.

Considering we stayed to visit nearby beaches, we had an excellent time, but will be very careful to choose another property in the future.
The hotel is nice, the staff (for the most part) was very good, except, we stayed 5 days, 4 nights and never received any housekeeping and when asked, we where explained the difficulties of a full hotel during a holiday season. We just asked for two fresh towels, then asked the front desk for toilet paper. Thank goodness Walmart was directly across the street. We bought towels. We were out most of the days, so not too bad, but not cool either.
We were told at checkout we’d be given 2k points for the inconveniences, did not receive, and we really knew we would not receive.
Other than that… had a ball!

The room was clean. I was very disappointed there was no hand soap at the sink. And the bottles in the shower need to be better labeled. They were very hard to read since I don’t wear my glasses in the shower

We had a family emergency & after driving from Texas to NC, we arrived exhausted and was told they had no room for us. Then, they were difficult in working with hotels.com so our refund could be processed. Terrible experience

Our AC unit went out after being there for one night. We come back from being outside in 90 degree heat for 12 hours and we were exhausted but we couldn’t sleep in a room where in the hall it hotter. Luckily we were able to switch rooms at about 10 pm. Then the bottom floor smelled like vomit because people got hammered at the bar..

It was ok it definitely could have been better. The refrigerator didn’t work. People from our party had to be switched to another room due to the air not working. The tubs were very small. I wouldn’t recommend booking here unless you’re trying to be cheap and save a few coins. Plus there isn’t free complimentary breakfast and they make you pay for internet!!

No maid service for my five night stay even though I had requested service every other day when I first checked in online. The closest outside door to my hotel room was on the side, but could not be opened by my hotel key. I had to resort to using the back entrance. Room smelled a bit musty until the air conditioning was turned on.

When I checked into the property I was never asked was I a bonvoy member as I have experienced at all other Marriott’s when I check in through a third party. On 7/5/24 I came by the front desk and there I noticed the wheel and I ask the older man at the desk about spending the wheel and he immediately started getting angry with me and his posture and attitude was very rude. I wasn’t told about spinning the wheel when I checked in but that doesn’t mean I get talked to and pretty much yelled at because of that. Of course being treated rude like that I can’t stay there anymore and I wouldn’t recommend anybody else to stay. This is the absolute worse I ever experienced with a Marriott. My bonvoy number is 249118154. You can see in the past I have had numerous stays and never had a complaint but this was rediculus.

Hotel was great for a one night stay. Bistro breakfast in the lobby was great she was wonderful. The only compliant I had happened before checkout. Checkout is at 12 noon; however, we received 3 knocks at our door after 11 asking if we were ready to checkout even though we had at least another 45 minutes before the checkout time. My recommendation would be if they want people to check out earlier, make the required checkout time earlier.

Staff was friendly and helpful; they made check in and out quick and easy. The room, however, had areas where it had not been cleaned, wall at the head of the bed, between bed and nightstand, shower (hair and snot on the wall), just minor things that could be missed in a turnover but nonetheless seen by us and felt icky.

The property is need of deep cleaning and lots of maintenance. It was very disappointing for the price we paid. There were only 3 chaise lounges for the pool and one that was ripped beyond use. I feel we were deceived by the reviews on Expedia, then we didn’t get credit for our Marriott points so it is probably my last time using Expedia.
