Quick and easy check in, convenient off street parking, clean and comfortable room with view of the lake across the road. Had everything we needed for a nice night during our couple of days in Taupo.

Very nice place. Ruby the cat was fun. You can walk to town in about 10 minutes and ubers are very easy to get. The lake to right across the road. Very clean and nice motel with good parking.

Wonderful place, good location for lake with plenty of parking, a bit of a walk to the town centre but perfect with a car.
Friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to make my stay comfortable. The cleanest place I’ve stayed in a while, and one of few who still offer daily service. Everything I needed was in the room.
I’d recommend it and would love to go back.

We loved our stay at Sails on the Lake. The space was very comfortable and roomy. We loved having the living room area as we. As the patios off both our living room and bedroom. Everything clean and totally up to expected standards. I highly recommend.

Did not care for our room which was on the bottom floor next to the driveway. Not conducive to being outside on the small patio. Felt like we could get hit by a car at any moment.

We were a couple of two. Had our own unit's. Across from the lake,coffee trailer just down the road. Owner was most welcoming and helpful. Thank gor our stay. HAPPY TO STAY AGAIN *****

So very glad we stayed here! Lovely, quiet and fully self-contained apartment (including basic cooking gear and laundry facilities), with plenty of room for the family (2 adults and 2 kids). Right on the water front, and an easy stroll along the lake to fabulous dining options. It was the perfect place for us to explore.
Keep an eye out for the very friendly local cat who came to say hello every morning!

Easy to check in. Nice view of lake. Parking available. Clean. Smelled of bleach. TV channels good. Not too nosy. Shower had interesting taps with a preset amount of water flow, but it was good enough. Only negative was that the sofa bed was uncomfortable.
