Went for a week and on work and with the wife, was very disappointed. Rooms are very old and dated and the hotel is out of date. We managed however and probably will not stay there again.

The Ambassador is a very nice hotel and we had a great stay. Their lobby is very fancy and our room had a lovely seating area as well as a marble bathroom! Bed was very comfortable. It's a little bit far from the area that we wanted to visit like Fort and gateway to India but otherwise it is a perfect hotel.

I have stayed in this Hotel numerous times and have satisfied with it. However the time I found the rooms quiet rundown and in need of renovations. The staff were very helpful and efficient as they had been in previous stays

I booked this hotel for a couple of days to spend with my parents in Mumbai. The staff were so lovely leaving us with such good memories of our few days in Mumbai. They were super helpful, very polite and dealt with any queries as soon as possible. They also made a cake and decorated the room with balloons for my mother’s birthday when I asked them for just a little something. They made a whole cake! Thank you once again to all the staff, and the desk staff! You all really made our stay nice and easy and very memorable. The only meal we had at the hotel was the buffet breakfast, and again the selection on offer each day was delicious. The chef also memorised my omelette order after the 1st day and would make it for me each morning. The staff would regularly refill out teas/coffees as and when we wanted. I’ve stayed at many hotels and the service received at the Ambassador has truly been one of the best I’ve experienced.

My experience was really great. The hotel is near to Marine Bay and some really cool restaurants that mixes the traditional indian food with foreign spices. Museum and Flora Fountain are not so far away. I arrived late and the personal were kind enough to authorize me a late check-out.

Quiet and convenient character hotel. The security and staff were courteous and very useful in chatting to Taxi and Uber drivers. It was a pleasant stay in a clean and quiet hotel. Full recommended.

The property is neat and well maintained. No mould in rooms or bathroom. Smells fresh. In room dining service is good and the food is amazing!

Mr. Manvendra Rashk, the general manager, was very particular and went above and beyond in making certain that the quality of the services at the hotel are excellent. The quality of the room surpassed our expectations. Will definitely plan on using this hotel in my future visits to Mumbai.

Had a very comfortable stay at the Ambassador with family. Location is extremely convenient and many shopping/eating/tourist places are within walking distance. Transport is very easy to get. Facility is great, food is very good and hospitality is unmatched.

Good location, especially for the Mumbai marathon which was our reason for coming to Mumbai. There is a definite need for an upgrade. AC/light controller didn’t work, it either went to the coldest or the hottest setting. The control chip was hanging by a wire outside the wall socket. A hole in the bathroom wall, big enough for a mouse. Didn’t see one, but ants seem to enjoy this grand entrance to the facilities. They were painting the hall walls outside our room in the evening and night instead of daytime only. Paint smell and constant noise outside our room was not desirable. Will probably pick a different hotel next time, if rooms are available. If not, I can stay here again.

Positive parts: #1. Housekeeping services. Room was clean. Negative parts: #1. Smoking rooms located on same floor as non smoking. At times my room was full of cigarette smoke smell. #2. Construction noise. #3. Overwhelming smell of epoxy from construction. #4. FOOD POISONING from room service food. I lost 2 of my 3 days in Mumbai due to the sickness. I was here for work and could not work. When I told reception I got food poisoning from the food a girl suggested I only sick from the weather. I had already been here 6 weeks, adjusted to the climate and heat was not the problem. Again at checkout, as I paid 1800rs for the food that made me vomit, she suggested it was something in the air. 5. Except for housekeeping and luggage men, the employees had a negative vibe.

The Ambassador is a outstanding hotel in almost every way except the front desk staff could be a bit more pleasant and make the guests feel more welcome. This is the only hotel i stay at when i travel to Mumbai and think that restaurant staff , food quality ,room service ,housekeeping and general staff go far beyond expectations but front desk made me feel a bit unwelcome especially after staying here on multiple occasions. I will be returning in April and hopefully this very small issue will be a misunderstanding and the room service most certainly made up for this issue. The service provided by Mahendra was exceptional and food and beverages were delivered with a positive and happy smile. Keep up the great work.

Great location, close to many good restaurants, Mumbai cricket club, Churchgate station and an easy walk to Gateway to India. Rooms were clean, but the decor was very dated. The outside of the property looks quite run down.

In an area that’s thriving for business and leisure travel - it’s a right priced and sized hotel if you don’t want to stay at one of the luxury brands Nextdoor - but they need to define their space and not compromise on the basics that are non negotiable and locally not expensive - the in house cafe food was poor, cleanliness in bathroom was average - quality of linen was very poor. Proximity to marine drive where one can enjoy outdoors is a major plus and they just need refocus and some $$ upgrades
