Rooms are basic and hotel needs updating. Carpets, damp areas and old. On arrival the room smelt so strong of cleaning products we had to open the windows which lead to high traffic noise 24 hours a day. This gave us headaches. No need to spray rooms with very strong scents. Our toilet seat wasn’t attached but this was as repaired and we requested that no cleaning products were to be used. No smart tv. The restaurant for lunch and dinner is nice but the breakfast is not great. If you want continental it’s basically a croissant and cereal. Not a great selection. we did ask for items on the list to be told they are out of stock or a 20 minute wait. Usually they are available to help yourself but not a lot of selection of pastries . We asked and waited for cinnamon rolls and when they came they were raw in the middle. Overall not great. I paid 12.50 for two pastries and a bit of salmon and mushrooms which they. Charged me extra at the end of my stay. Overall staff were lovely and friendly. Happy to chat about the area and give advice.

Pokey room on the front and main road so very noisy. Housekeeping brilliant as was reception

The room was clean and spacious but no one explained that there was a fan in the cupboard and it was really hot!! We couldn’t open the window as we were on the road side of the hotel so it was really noisy with cars & lorries going past all night, we really didn’t sleep well.

Great room and food at good price

Room was in need of updating a bit shabby and dusty. Bathroom bin wasn’t emptied when we arrived Food in restaurant was excellent but due to a large party arriving late, we all had to wait over an hour for our food.

There was lip stick on the mug in the bedroom, a mouse trap under the dressing table and extremely noisey guests late at night, of which the hotel wasn't really to blame for this, but guests should be asked to be mindful of noise uf returning late at night

Good quality food, clean room, staff helpful. Only minus was the in house wi fi was not working (they assured me it was being dealt with), mobile signal poor. Electric vehicle charger in car park. I would stay again

Hotel felt jaded. We swapped rooms because the first room smelt of damp and there was some left over rubbish on the floor. The staff were lovely about it. The second room was better. We found the corridors need refurbishing and the whole area was just tired. The bed was comfy and the staff were superb.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were really friendly, and pleasant. But perhaps they should check their bathrooms, if you have a dispenser for liquid soap make sure it’s filled. Every where was beautifully clean, and the bed was comfy We will be back

Lovely hotel, staff & restaurant. On arrival greeted by Zane, who was very helpful, helped with our luggage & shownme to the room. Massive bed & TV. Clean, presentable, nice clean bathroom with a tub. All the staff I met, Zane, Stella & all the bar staff, right through to the cleaners all lovely people. Loved the water wheel in the restaurant and the food is great to, had a breakfast one morning and a trio roast another day 10/10, would definitely recommend

Property was nicely presented, restaurant area and bar was very nice and ok pricing for food and drinks. Rooms were clean and ok if a bit dated. Shower was hot but not much in way of water pressure. Cold water tap ran warm all of the time it was used.

We stayed here on a Thursday and Friday evening. Bizarrely the Friday night was much more reasonable with real fast included and breakfast really is the star of the show here, along with the very friendly helpful staff, BUT the rooms are quite noisy, being on the main road, and the walls very thin and the worst thing of all unfortunately was the shower situation. On morning 1 haunch paid over £90 incl breakfast for a room, our shower was broken and we had to use my nieces shower which was a red hot trickle and impossible to control. Ot it’s important to note that this was the morning of my father’s funeral. On noght 2, they Tried to move me to room 12, which was my nieces room, and I declined because the shower has been so poor that morning. They then put us in room 10, note, by now we are on our third shower, and this time again, the shower was impossible to control, it was either red hot or lukewarm. At which point, I gave up, on the basis that the second night had only been £68 including breakfast, but I am now regretting that I didn’t ask for a refund partially for the first night. So, to cut long story short, this hotel is okay as somewhere to rest your head, but do not expect a shower that works in either rooms 10, 12 or 15, Unless anything changes very soon!

Bedroom needed a refresh all round. Everything is a bit tired and dated . We stayed here about ten years ago and nothing seems to have changed. Bed was clean as was the bathroom. Carpet may have been clean but very worn. Staff were very nice and we had a good meal in the bar. We were travelling to the North East so it was half way in our journey . Could be so much better.

The room itself was ok. The customer service was great, very welcoming. However a fight broke out in the room next to us. It went on for a couple of hours before we contact staff as it was in th middle of the night. But no apology. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything

The rooms here are ok, they do need a coat of paint though. The food in the restaurant was just ok, nothing special. Probably over priced for what you get.

No WIFI, zero phone reception, advertising you have these yet they are so appalling is poor customer service, staff doing their best but management don’t care

Excellent all round. Very pleasant and helpful staff, most notably Zane and Molly. Terrific value. Cannot recommend highly enough.

A lovely historic conversion, room was a nice size and comfortable. Great menu in the restaurant and very friendly staff.

very poor meal how do you make lasagne without any taste? and the chicken and ham hock pie was all pastry and very little filling very dissapointing the shower controls and cold tap very difficult to open allmost seized up and the toilet tank loose on the wall,We have stayed here several times and this was the worse stop!

We had a great stay at Millers Hotel, staff were friendly and the room was perfect for our needs, as well as clean. The bed was uncomfortable however. Breakfast was at a good time, but not much choice on the self-serve in terms of pastries. Cooked breakfast was delicious.

Reception is not manned. On arrival pressed the bell which rang in the office back of reception where there was no one around. You have to wait for someone behind the bar to notice you stood waiting to check in. It was exactly the same for check out.

room 24 was ok but shower wasnt good and the second day no hot water at all from shower i did tell them but just said sorry to here that good bye also all food was cold neber had a hot mealbeen there 3 times before bit dont think we will be back

No air-con in the rooms meaning was boiling all night, very dated and small rooms and the walls are paper thin, woke up multiple times by other people walking and talking.

We found staff very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay which in our view was good value for money

Staff excellent Cleanliness excellent Only downside was the shower gel/hand soap dispenser was “damn hard work” to use as it appeared to be broken (Room 18) It required a great deal of force to squeeze anything out of it!!!!

Real issues with water pressure. Manager did all they could to help me out but in the first room I was in (before swapping) the hot water was no more than a trickle, had to have a cold shower. It’s also fairly noisy, either from the roadside or being near the pub itself. Second room was much better but was a bad nights asleep.
