I needed to stay in Old Town overnight. It is an interesting area with lots of new restaurants, bars and guesthouses opening up. The second floor room was nice, clean and comfortable. However, the noise from motorcycles racing by under our window all night made it impossible to sleep for more than 10-15 minutes. Maybe if you stay on the thirds floor with a room in the back the noise level would be better.

Given the good reviews and the seemingly-hip neighborhood, I booked the Romannee Classic for a few nights. The room was relatively basic but nice enough, and the staff was friendly and eager to help. I was pleased enough with the first impression... until nightfall.All through the night, there are motorbikes *ripping* down the street, I mean just throttle cranked, middle finger (assumedly) waving at all the buildings they pass. I guess the Romannee is a restored old building so noise insulation wasnt a priority; it even has double paned windows, but that didnt do much of anything to dampen the sound, and I was awoken all night by the passing vehicles. I cant exactly blame the hotel for this, but it did make for a rather unpleasant stay.Other than that, everything was fine. But the lack of proper sound insulation makes me wish I had stayed elsewhere.

Nice hotel. The neighbouring was a bit disappointing.

We stayed for 2 nights and liked this place a lot :) Very convenient situated, friendly staff and nice, spacious and clean rooms. We'd surely come back!
