Grand Islander was absolutely wonderful. Staff assisted us with a well appointed room since the “loud” people on strike were being so noisy. In spite of them we loved our room & view. Definitely would stay there again.

It is part of a huge compound and was very hard to find. The hotel check-in/bag drop driveway is nearly impossible to find. It took 2 hours to drop bags off, check in, park, and get back to room. The parking lot is one large structure for 6 hotels and was almost always full and chaotic. The pool and beach was a long walk away (10 mins) and you have to walk through a large bazaar open to the public. This aside, the room was wonderful, the staff helpful, and the stay nice. This would have been 5 stars but the learning curve was a nightmare and deeply frustrating. An email from the hotel explaining this would have been a great idea….

It was really bad , my daughter found a bedbug on her bed and she also noticed bites in her legs also my husband had some bug bites too , I call the desk and the manager supposed come but he never did and I end up walking my self with a dead bug on my hand ; it seems like he didn’t care . I filled a report and still waiting on the results.

absolutely stunning hotel room. i have a large family and these room was perfect for us. 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. 2 balcony entrances. a kitchen and a washer machine. just perfect. we had such a great time and was able to walk all over waikiki without a problem but the resort itself also had amazing food places and just beautiful to explore as well. we loved the ice cream place at the resort we stopped a few times during our stay. we can’t imagine staying anywhere else in waikiki after this visit.

False advertisement. Resort fees do not include anything at the “Hilton Lagoon.” Matter in fact we were told it’s a public lagoon. I could have stayed at a neighboring hotel and had access to majority of the activities at the Hilton for less cost. Most of Hilton’s pools are not locked and free for all. Literally, I paid resort fees to be able to use their towels at the beach. So everything being open to the public made it super crowded.

our family vacation in Honolulu was great the hotel service was awesome; however the sofa-sleeper was not comfortable at all. I had to ask for a comforter to put on top and even with that it was not enough cushioned then the fourth night i had to ask for extra layer which the hotel gave us a topper to add on as i can feel the spring on my back. I could not find any double bed suits available and that was why i booked King suits with a sofas bed.

It was a very nice place. Our room was good for our needs. Its just beyond my realm of thinking when it comes to the cost of EVERY SINGLE THING. I guess I was pre-paired to pay more for things but it was exorbitant in many cases. And of course there was no offerings of breakfast in the hotel only at the restaurants in the shopping malls of the village. ($23 for 1 piece of toast with avocado spread??) Then no lounge chairs or even chairs offered on the beach without a charge.. Those type of things.

Beautiful room and view. Well furnished and clean. Had everything we needed for our vacation. Small issue with washer but staff took care of it beyond expectations. Will come back next time.

Grand islander tower had beautiful rooms and cleaning staff were amazing. Difficult to get directions around resort from staff. No close restaurant/food options when rain was torrential. Other towers had easier access to places without getting soaked.

We had a great time during our stay at this resort. The resort is stunning, complete with laundry and a fully equipped kitchen, and the room is impeccably clean with a cozy bed. The resort was ideally located, with the beach, multiple shopping options, and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Checking out through text message was a convenient option that we took advantage of. Overall, it’s an incredibly beautiful place to stay.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Grand Islander - Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort.
Property and facilities are immaculately kept. Cleanliness was thorough throughout the resort. Don't worry if you forget anything. There is plenty of shopping at the ground floors with just about everything you could be.
Staff are simply lovely - helpful and professional with everyone we encountered.
The beach next to the resort is well kept with lots of room for everyone. A variety of vendors to shop from most days.
There is plenty to do and see within walking distance of the resort.
4.5 stars and highly recommend!
The only thing missing for our visit was afternoon activities/fun for teens. It would be great to have a game room and teen-aged activities on site.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The one issue was the cost of valet parking as we stayed 12 days, which equaled almost $1k in parking alone. Found out during our stay that there's a public parking garage across the street where you can purchase a monthly pass for about $200 and don't have to wait for anyone to bring your car around. Other than that, it was a perfect vacation location with plenty of room for our family of 5 and lots of options for food and entertainment. The staff are outstanding and all very kind and accomodating. Trip of a lifetime!

The staff was super welcoming and friendly and we were able to check in early. Our spot was clean, had cleaning service regularly, and the beds were comfortable. Check out was early at 10am but there is bell service to hold the bags if needed. Overall a wonderful stay!

Our stay in 2 bed 2 bath suite was excellent. Room came with washer dryer, full kitchen, and 2 patios. From the 25th floor, we did not have a view of diamond head, but partial view of mountains and view of beach. Was perfect for the Fri firework show. Pools were busy and food options help make the resort not feel as busy.

This was such a lovely place to stay. Every staff member we interacted with was helpful and friendly. Our room was well taken care of the entire time we were there. The valet staff were amazing as well. The property is lovely with tons of accommodations, but the staff are what really stand out.
