Bait and switch with the offer of parking but then charge for it. Also, the hotel staff only clean some of the rooms (and not ours). The breakfast wasn't good. But they still charge a lot of money per night.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The property itself is in great condition and walking distance to everything Santa Cruz has to offer.

Our stay at Hotel Solares was good! I loved that it was so pet friendly and had areas for dogs to hangout in. The room was comfortable and mostly clean. We did have some weird spots on our sheets and the chairs had stains on them, but overall it was clean. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was very nice. The staff was nice and helpful. The dog “agreement” that you sign was a little outdated but they were able to clarify some questions I had about it. The best thing was that it was less than a 10 min walk to get to the boardwalk.

Outdated, unfriendly desk service, dirty rooms, sheets with holes in them, trash in drawers, dirty carpets, and my keys got deactivated by 8am when check out was at 11am. The area where it is located is run down, the pictures are deceiving. I cannot recommend this place.

It was very nosiey at night kids running around screeming, spa dirty . The pool rest room very dirty no toilet paper. Have been here before had a great time. Will not come again

Overall the property was decent. I would stay there again, but the rooms are inconsistent. Last time I stayed there, my room was much larger than this current room for this stay. I wish that the bathroom made better use of the space. There was no bathtub but there was a big empty space. It could have had a seating area. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were not. Steph was friendly overall. The breakfast that is included is just a small fruit yogurt and bagel but it does the job. Great location, decent prices.

We saw a couple homeless around the building laying on the sidewalk. For a short stay I would recommend but please don't expect any courtesy from this hotel. They charge for just a half hr before check in and will not allow you to use parking space any longer than check out time like other hotels I've stayed at. Don't let the "breakfast included" fool you. They only offer stale beagles and nasty coffee. I see it as a last option hotel.

Do not like it at all. It was not very friendly.

The hotel looked nothing like the pictures. The hotel was very rundown. The staff was extremely rude. This almost ruined our vacation. Definitely would not recommend this place. We ended up not staying there and had to find a cleaner hotel.

The location is convenient because you are in walking distance to the boardwalk and restaurants. The hotel is fenced in so it make it feel safer.

Very poor excuse of breakfast! No cereal or milk. No bread or butter for toast! Ridiculous! Much disrepair all around.

It was not terrible but not a complete 4 stars either. I tried calling the hotel to confirm my reservation because I had reserved 7 weeks before. No one answered and I attempted several times but not even a voice mail answered so I couldn’t confirm. I went up for my daughter’s college graduation. I again tried to confirm once i got there after the graduation. I was told to call the next day. I’m in my room Sat night after a long day. We were resting when all of a sudden I hear people screaming at each other and next thing you know several police officers show up and all you hear is chaos. I checked out the next day only to find that I hadn’t changed my reservation and they were not willing to give me a refund or credit because even though i paid for insurance I made the mistake of booking through Travelocity! It’s not a terrible place to stay but they could use an upgrade.

Spent three nights here. Just a 10-minute walk down to the Boardwalk, which is fantastic. Place is older but you can tell they really try to maintain and fixed up. Pool and hot tubs were nice. Room is spacious; there were two of us and we had two queen beds. Plenty of space to spread out and not feel crowded. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok, but I don't usually expect much. Everything else was great. I would definitely stay here again.

We appreciate your accommodation and in upgrading our hotel room. Although we had a slight problem with the plumbing, the maintenance worker, Jimmy was very helpful and wonderfully responsive and very knowledgeable to quickly repair the leak and the trip was a success! ❤️😉👍

The hot tub is super dirty, no towels in the pool and when we booked the reservation they didn’t specify how much was the pet fee. They charged us 100 dls por 1 night! Besides the deposit, for a party dog trained, ridículos!

Wasn't the worst and wasn't the worst. Staff wasn't friendly, older hotel, outlet weren't working along one side of hotel room and lots of extra fees.
