Stayed In room 11 - room was clean, beautiful and spacious. The bed was super comfy. breakfast was lovely and very good value for money . Personally didn’t use the restaurant other than for breakfast as it seemed pricey. Not much around the area other than the beautiful walks and scenery. Other activities just a couple of minutes away in the car but if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with plenty of walks it’s a perfect off grid break . There is a canoe hire on site also

Room 12 was really nice, more of a suite than a room with a little outside space for two overlooking the many people and the hand water ferry. Food was good if huge. Breakfast was outstanding, fresh and delicious. Well done. Peter.

The room was very comfortable, the staff were great, the breakfast was excellent and very plentiful, but the real highlight for me was the location. Symond's Yat East is a bit weird in that it is a small hamlet that seems to only consist of hotels, B&Bs and a couple of small carparks, so in the quiet season it felt a bit dead when I first arrived. But the natural environment is lovely. The river here is really attractive, and the Yat rock viewpoint is just a short (steep) walk from behind the hotel, so staying here meant I was able to go up there both afternoon and early the following morning for absolutely spectacular views and watching the Peregrine Falcons.

This is a gorgeous property in a stunning location and my room had a beautiful view over the river. The food was excellent and I was able to take a boat trip on the river right outside the pub. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is in a prime location on the banks of the Wye just about 5 miles from Ross in Wye. It’s simply a beautiful location and the hotel is as good with only 10 rooms or so. The pub underneath serves excellent food and there is much to do and explore nearby. We will return

The room was very clean no complaints there . The drinks a bit pricey lager from £5.00 to £5.80 bitter £4.40 to £4.80 food I had fish and chips at £16.50 the fish super delicious I’m afraid the chips were not covered in sea salt never had chips that came covered in salt before the only down side

Lovely location stumbled on in Hotels.com. Very narrow track to get there but well worth it. Lovely little pub with great food and pleasant local ales. Will definitely be back

Nice hotel with lovely views of the river, dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room was clean and bigger than expected. The only minor complaint was the mattress, if you like a firm one it’s perfect for you but otherwise not so good
