Shower curtain was stained, tub drainage was bad, mattress hadn't had any cushion..... I didn't know it was managed by third party. I'll never book anything with Expedia anymore

It was a very spacious unit. would love staying there again.

Location was perfect!! And room was clean. But 1.Door of closet does’t on the slide, it’s very hard to open. 2. Table shook terribly, hard to eat and write.. 3. The most of all, bed is sagging in the center, 2 people moves toward to center, hit each other all night. And uncomfortable.

Price was good, close to Ala Moana Mall and Park.

The property is in a convenient location. However, it's not managed by the hotel, but through a different real estate agency. Its check-in is still done by the hotel though with a very long line around 4:00 pm. It took us over an hour to get through. This is unexpectedly long wait and upset some family members.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite and loved it. The unit was on the 34th floor and was spacious with multiple lanais in each room. The kitchen was stocked with 2 blenders which we did not use, but a rice cooker which we used everyday! I would rent this unit again for the size and location. We found that parking was only difficult to find if you come back very late in the evening; this wasn't a problem for us, because we were always back before 9pm. I would absolutely stay here again.

This is a nice area. There’s a bridge to the nice outdoor shopping center next door on the second floor. It’s a well recognized hotel in Honolulu, however when you book through Expedia, you’re getting a sort of Air Bnb deal. So you’ll have to sign a contract that you’ll take care of the room you’re given, that you acknowledge the private company’s rules, etc. Yet the room is like any other room in the hotel… so I didn’t understand that. Nonetheless, it was a great stay. In a great area. If you don’t wanna do the walk to Waikiki, Uber/lyft is like a $7 - $12 ride depending on what time you order it. Ala Moana beach park is 2 cross walks away. That’s one of the best perks of staying at this hotel as well because it is beautiful there and less of a crowd than at Waikiki and you can catch a beautiful sunset.

Room should be cleaned every couple of days

They charged $34.50 p/night ($105 total) and there was never any parking. They said it was OK to park where notice says, “No Parking” and everyone else did that. Very dangerous and risky for accidents and rental damages. They told me to park on the street which is a lower rate but I was already charged the full on-site rate!

Great location right next to Ala Moana Shopping Center. The room was clean although a little worn in places. The refrigerator was hard to open but worked well. The view was great. The room could have used a little table to eat on. We got locked out once but the hotel staff was very efficient in coming to help. Very convenient location if friends/family are going to be picking you and driving you around.

I was dissapointed in the room. Its old, outdated and an extremely basic hotel room. The hotel Ala Moana Hotel is nice, I would suggest booking directly with the hotel, at least you will get maid service. You might as well pay the higher price because the cleaning charge of 130 you could probably get a suite. A/C either hardly worked or periodically it would free you. Coffeemaker with no coffee. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FINE PRINT. The price may look good but when you add on the cleaning and "owners" fees, its way more than it appears.

Room is smaller than on the picture, small beds as well. They are doing construction over there and elevators had some weird ways to go to lobby. They need to clean room better. I found a small bottle of Korean liquor under the bed, and my mom found an old cookie under hers.

THIS IS A GREAT PROPERTY. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS NO ROOM SERVICE DURING OUR STAY.

The hotel is great, I love the staff, the area and Starbucks in the lobby. I stayed in a condo in the hotel this time and I’m not sure I would do it again.Since it’s owned separately I couldn’t Ask the front desk anything. I do not have any hot water the first two nights, it was cold this trip and the heater did not work and there is not an extra pillow or a blanket. The bed only had a sheet and a light blanket on it and the pillows or small squares.

Way smaller than picture showed. Bed were horribly uncomfortable. Because it was owned by a third party there was no housekeeping.

Front desk is very helpful! Great views with central location to shopping, activities and beach.

Wonderful hotel. Comfy room. All we needed. So close for shopping and beach. Loved the restaurant at the top. Just needed somewhere to lift our luggage on. An explanation on how the shower works would be good as we thought we only had cold water for a while. Over all perfect for a couple. Great hotel.

I stayed only one night so I dont have much experience to expand on. But it was overall okay.

I could only say it was excellent except I would have liked a full kitchen. I still had to go out to eat. But, I was pleased with the Hotel and being next door to a big mall & hop-on Hop-off trolley. All good. Caught an Airport bus 200m down the round.

When I booked the room at $19041, I thought this was a reasonable rate for Honolulu. Then a property fee of $375.72 for 4 nights was added to the total. I assumed that at $326 per night it would be a nice accommodation.When we booked in, the receptionist explained that the Ala Moana Hotel had nothing to do with the room other than collect the money for the owner of the room. She also explained that there was no cleaning of the room by the hotel and if I wanted the room cleaned, I would ha e to arrange this with the owner.When I saw the room, I was disappointed. It was a standard hotel room with a microwa e and small fridge but had no cutlery or dishes except glasses and cups. Extremely disappointed.

I booked an ocean view on the 3rd & 4th of July so I can watch the fireworks from my balcony but there was another structure in the way so no clear view of fireworks. I’m very disappointed for the price I’ve paid for this room.

No linen service; basic amenities come with previously undisclosed surcharges; difficult to communicate with; main hotel is great but main hotel management expressed displeasure with Gaia and warned us of difficulties

The location was perfect for my needs as my daughter lives close by. It was a nice place with a beautiful view from the deck, which was a nice surprise.
