The hotel is a nice hotel in a good location, unfortunately the breakfast lets the venue down, we stayed for two nights each morning the breakfast was cold with limited availability of the items included in the buffet, we did bring this to the attention of the receptionist who informed us we were not the first to complain. We intended to have a drink at the bar during the evening the drinks were so limited we didn't bother, these things were very disappointing.

Lovely hotel, perfectly situated. All staff polite & helpful. The bathroom needs an update, but everything else was great. Super comfy beds

Good location and friendly reception staff but housekeeping very poor. Did nothing other than make the bed. Rubbish not taken, nothing wiped down. Water not replenished (perk of superior room but had to ask reception ourselves each day). Room also very small for a ‘superior room’

Good friendly check in, room clean and tidy. Bathroom needs some attention, towel rail fell to bits and there was no obvious extraction of steam. The room for us was too warm overnight. Breakfast good.

The staff were without exception very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint was that it was not made clear that the parking advertised was in the adjacent multi-storey car park and cost £10 per 24 hours.
Other than that Chester itself was fantastic and the choice of places to eat immediately across the road or adjacent to the hotel itself were extremely good. Everything was only a short walk away.

Overall, this hotel was great; the location was good, the room was clean and the restaurant staff and breakfast were both excellent.
My only criticisms are the fridge in the room did not keep anything cool - when we reported it, we were told it was a ‘common problem with all the fridges’; and a couple of the Reception staff, although not overtly rude, were definitely quite brusque.
But I would still recommend this hotel based on its location, price and room & restaurant facilities

A very good quality (city break) hotel, well positioned for visiting central Chester.
We booked three rooms for our family visit and all were functional and spotless. Public areas are comfortable and well designed. Breakfast was great!

We took our 11 year old grandson to Chester for 4 nights and stayed at this hotel.
From the moment we entered we were greeted by really nice, friendly and helpful staff and this remained the case for the whole stay.
Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with complimentary tea, coffee etc. It was cleaned daily and the tea and coffee were replenished.
We did not eat at the hotel as we were out and about every day so I can not comment on that.
However we would certainly use a Lonardo's Hotel again

The hotel was in a great location. Accessible for a pushchair. Convenient for parking. Nice room and a good size. One major drawback was the heat. We had the air conditioning on full at the lowest possible temperature and the room was so uncomfortably hot, it was almost unbearable. I called down to reception who tried something on the central control which made no difference. The air coming out of the vents would barely have made a candle flicker. The windows did not open either and there were no fans available. The breakfast was good

Expedia made a mistake and despite us booking for 3, they only booked a double
Room for us. The hotel staff were amazing and pulled out all the stops despite the hotel being fully booked to ensure we were accommodated.
Will book direct next time.

Highly recommend. Stayed for husbands birthday treat and we received 2 complimentary drinks for his celebration. Also had a half price discount for Pepper street car park which was brilliant. Really good sleep. So convenient to all bars restaurants and shops.
Can’t wait to come back.

Very clean hotel, centrally located in Chester. My room had no view, overlooking the roof, but it was comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was very good.

Large room which was very nice, all modern. The only downside is the big step getting out of the bath after having a shower. This would be very dodgy for someone with limited flexibilty. Staff were all helpful... Location is perfect, Would recommend this hotel all day long.

Enjoyed our stay in beautiful Chester, location was great in the Centre if it all, near restaurants etc. Only issue was parking in nearby Glosvenor Centre which was expensive
