We booked as a group of 3 friends as we were doing a charity walk for macmillan. We had to be at the walk start line for 7:15am. We requested breakfast to take with us expecting a little packed continental breakfast. We were asked if we would like a bacon sandwich making to take with us which was fantastic. We were also given a banana and a satsuma. Which was very thoughtful. Should we decide to do the lake district walk again we will definitely stay at the tynedale again

The landlady just seemed to delight in making sure you were happy. Very easy to find. Penrith's town faciities were within a few minutes walk.

The hotel is comfortable and well located, the service is excellent and very friendly. The breakfast is also excellent, you can request what you would like served. We had a very pleasant stay, we really recommend it.

Cosy, little B&B with nice staff. The staff even let us in before the official check-in time as we were tired from the trip.

Parking was a little Tight. Wasn't an issue though as everyone was friendly but might be an issue if there are lots of people staying

The most lovely hosts in a spotless , cosy and warm family room. Very quiet , dark at night ,very comfortable bed. Great breakfast and convenient location . Parking outside with permit given. Will definatrly make this our bnb when we come back to visit family often. Good value for money.

Car parking is "hit & miss". Limited. But if you are prepared to walk then it's fine.

Great location for the town and very friendly and helpful owners. Good sized breakfast with lots of offers of top ups for orange juice & coffee. Festive chocolates in the hall were very welcome after a visit to the local micropub!

Fish that were too big for their tank in the entrance hall.

Shower worked well but the ensuite was too small for us

Great location,central for shops, bars and restaurants. The perfect cooked breakfast and more if needed,would definitely stay here again.

A bigger bathroom would have been nice, was asked to change rooms but preferred an onsuite.

This is a most exceptional guest house. Immaculate presentation. Beautiful rooms. An owner who bakes superb cakes and biscuits and who cares about his property.
