My youngest son graduated from Rice Univ and so my husband and two older children stayed at the house during our visit! The rooms were great-each has their own tv, the beds are REALLY comfortable, bath towels are super absorbent, and there is bath gel, shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided. The owners are quick to respond to questions and initiated to make sure that our stay was going well once we areived. We really appreciated their care and concern. Another reviewer mentioned the noise on the street and that was truly the biggest drawback. Our family never saw a train station but there is a train that runs consistently-especially through the night and the sound of the horn would wake us up. I used earplugs and a white noise machine but still could hear it and other noisy trucks, cars and emergency vehicles. HOWEVER, there is nothing the owners can do about the location of the house. The house is EXACTLY as pictured-trendy, well designed and super clean!!! The owners were also incredibly generous-there were cold waters in the fridge as well as snacks, coffee and tea keuring pods available for our enjoyment. They definitely went above and beyond to make our stay special!!!

The host was amazing at communicating leading up to and throughout our stay. The home inside was exactly as promoted. Very spacious and nice decor. It was really appreciated that the home had extras of toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, trash bags, etc. One thing i can suggest is instructions on how to use the thermostat. Took us a few minutes to figure it out. The hot water in the master shower can get very hot really easily, so just be careful about that. Neighborhood is a bit on the rough side but didn’t have any problems thankfully. Home is just a short drive away to great restaurants and entertainment. Over a wonderful stay and would rent again in the future.

The house is gorgeous and impeccably clean. There are a lot of nice touches such as the labelling of light switches, something really small but makes a big difference. We found the house to be even lovier than shown in the photos which is not always the case. The host was also amazing, super responsive and proactive. Overall I highly highly recommend this property! The only downside, which has nothing to do with the host, is that there's quite a bit of road noise, especially in the master bedroom which faces the road. Just something to be aware of if you're noise sensitive. It is in a developing neighborhood, which is pointed out in the description but the high fence surrounding the house and the industrial gate at the driveway entrance made us feel very safe. Thanks for a wonderful stay, if we're ever back in Houston, we'll absolutely stay here!

The stay was great the property was what it said it would be when we booked, overall everything was very clean and nrg stadium was easy to get to.

The house was maintained in near new condition. The owners were very quick to respond to questions We stayed for the bbq cookoff at NRG stadium and the house was very convenient

Myself plus four family members stayed for a family wedding weekend. The house had everything we could need and the space for the four of us was so amazing! The gated driveway made us feel extra safe in the neighborhood. Checkout was easy and it was nice to have a garage unlike some of the rentals we considered that did not have great parking. We stayed at this location due to it being so close to NRG stadium. The home was better than expected and had everything we needed plus some. We were less than 10 minutes from the rodeo. The host was very easy to contact and he responded promptly. I will definitely rent this unit again and recommend it to anyone. The area is not the best but we didn't have any issues.

Great place! Super close to two universities. Texas Southern and Houston University. Just wish the family room had more seating accommodations. One sofa is difficult for four adults to relax after a busy day. However, beautiful place.

We had an amazing stay. The property was very clean, nicely decorated, and had wonderful amenities. Loved the extra security of having a 10ft. electric gate surround the property. The option of using the garage was also a huge plus. The hosts were amazing!!! Very responsive, kind, and available, if we needed them. During our stay, we went to the NRG stadium. It was within 10 mins of the property with minimal Houston traffic. We chose to use the South Fannin METROrail park and ride which was super quick, easy, and a cost-saving place to park for the stadium. We will definitely be staying here again when we return!! We stayed here during a work convention. The drive was not too far and the house was amazing! Check-in and Check-out was easy peasy! Would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I loved the home! Although we saw the pictures, we were still pleasantly surprised as we walked through it. In fact, the home got better and better as we toured it! The home was beautifully designed, as it had spaces that allowed for privacy, as well as ideal spaces for bonding with your housemates. The hosts were gracious and responsive. We received a welcome package that included water, snacks, and a cute gift. The hosts answered all of our questions quickly. The location of the home was also convenient. It was within 15 minutes of our destinations.

My family and I had a great stay at City & Serene’s property. The house was very clean, well decorated, with great amenities. The host were amazing- very responsive and made sure our needs were met. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

My friends and I had a great time in Houston for the final four and the house was exactly as described in the photos, we had an issue with the air conditioning but the hosts were excellent in communicating! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This whole stay was a great experience. The house was new, tidy, fresh, clean, met our needs, and the online listing was accurate. The surrounding neighborhood is in the process of revitalization; that said, we didn’t feel unsafe (family of 7 including kids) and would stay here again in a heartbeat. The property managers were extremely communicative, accommodating, and kind. 10 out of 10 experience, thanks for everything!

Booked a stay on 10/11. Host instructions said we would get code for door/gate on day of check-in (10/14). On day of check- in I check my email to access the code and I see that my reservation has been cancelled. I contacted host to see why my reservation had been cancelled as my check in time is 4 p.m. and I'm already heading to Houston. Host stated that they assummed I no longer wanted to stay at the house because I never made contact again and they cancelled. Isn't me paying in full and not cancelling the reservation an indication I wanted the house? Check in was 4 p.m. but reservation cancelled at 11 and to top off this nightmare they refuse to give me a full refund. Then after contacting them again they said in good faith they would give me $100 back.l I never got to stay at the rental and here we are on 10/26 and still refusing to give me a refund after they cancelled. Beware!

You name it and this place has it. It was the most comfortable and seamless process I have ever gone through in any aspect of hospitality. Kofi and Kristin were the perfect hosts. From when I first reached out to them before booking and all the way through checking out. They were pleasant and easy to work with. They communicated very well. They responded almost immediately when I needed something. They truly made what could be a stressful issue in visiting a new town for work a great experience. The home is centrally located. Its less than 5min from downtown, less than 8min from any major venue or sports arena in town, less than 15min from the beautiful galleria mall where we visited for some shopping and dinner. The beds were comfortable. The decor was beautiful. The aesthetic of the home was 10x better in person than the pictures online. The private back yard is spacious and ready for your to enjoy being outside while secured on the property. My guest and I felt super secure as we were able to park behind their large 10ft access gate that enclosed the property. It literally felt like we were staying on a compound. The security was layered and mapped out very well making it extremely easy to navigate. I rate this place a 10 out of 10. Everything was what the description said online but better. There is no other home more equipped to stay in here in Houston than City and Serene. I will definitely be back here again!!!
