Lovely fragrence and feel of the room. Like being at home. Massive morning spread of food. Rachel had great food recomendations and even got us last minute reservations.

Rachel was the perfect host, lovely, welcoming and a great cook !

Besides the optimal position, the room was very nice as well as the house. You can see the attention to the details from the bathroom to the breakfast room. Also Rachel went above and beyond to help my parents (they don't speak English but yet they could feel looked after).

From this location, it is walking distance to Cong village. Breakfast was well done with plenty of options to choose from. The place was well laid out, providing ease in coming and going as needed. The host went over and beyond in resolving our particular needs.

The location was perfect, just a couple of minutes walk to where we needed to be. We couldn’t believe the array of options for breakfast, so many breads, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Avocado, eggs and meat etc. There really was something to suit everyone. Rachael was very friendly and relaxed and she made us feel very welcome.

There was a wonderful selection of food and mixing of Guests at the Breakfast was a eye opener. Location was excellent .Host couldn't have been more helpful.

The host was fantastic, she went out of her way to accommodate us. The breakfast was outstanding, loved all the choices. Comfy bed and clean room. The location is great.

Location was very close to the town center. Made it easy to walk to the town. Also I was very appreciative that Rachel went out of her way to get some gluten free options for my wife.

The breakfast is an absolute highlight of a stay with Salmon Weir! It is a bounty of delicious options and flavors to meet anyone’s breakfast preferences. The rooms are super cozy and decorated with a welcoming flair. The location of Salmon Weir Lodge is perfect for exploring the village of Cong and easily walking to nearby pubs and restaurants. We also used Salmon Weir Lodge as a base to explore Ashford Castle, Cleggan and Inishbofin Island, Burren National Park and Connemara National Park. The hosts are warm, welcoming and super friendly.

Our trip idid not allow us to stay longer at Salmon Weir.

Rachael is an excellent host, we greatly enjoyed our visit to Cong.

Lovely clean & comfortable accommodation with a superb host whose thought of everything a pair of touring wild brown trout anglers / motorcyclists / entomologists could ever need. A breakfast buffet which included Rachael’s take on the ‘ Irish Breakfast ‘ complete with a salsa dip! Don’t wish to say anything else on that as it’s for others to discover. Likely to be one of the most talked about stays in Cong since ‘ The Quiet Man ‘ was filmed once the word is out, I kid you not! Will go back as a touring couple with my wife in future. Godspeed

It was a bit cold in the room, but that's OK.

We loved our stay at Salmon Weir. Our beds were very comfortable and we had a nice, airy and clean room. The breakfast was fantastic, a feast with so much to choose from savory to sweet, from hot to cold, really a wonderful start of the day. Rachel, our host, made us feel most welcome and was very helpful with suggestions about day trips in the area.

The location & view of the river! A beautiful home that is tastefully decorated. Loved meeting Rachael & her dog, Penny. A scrumptious breakfast & nice touch with a box of chocolates in the room.

This is a lovely restored fishing lodge. The decor is beautiful and there is a lovely open seating are with a wood fire. Rachel was very welcoming and a great host. Loved staying here and will be back. Location is great and is only a short walk into Cong.

Our host was friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations for food and activities. Helped us with parking on our trip to Galway. Very accomodating without being intrusive. Breakfast was definitely a highlight.

Salmon Weir is such a lovely place. It's in a great location and very tranquil. I can't wait to go back. It's conveniently located near the Ashford Estate for any sightseeing too. Rachael is also lovely and so helpful!

I wish the wi-fi was a bit stronger but it was otherwise a great overall experience.

Clear communications in advance of visit, very warm welcome on arrival, lovely clean, spacious and comfortable double room. Rachael a fantastic host, served a lovely breakfast, asked in advance what we liked. Really recommend the Lodge, so relaxing. Close to Cong, lots of great walks.
