We stayed a week and we could look forward to a hot breakfast each morning of scrambled eggs and waffles before heading out for the day. Love the beach vibe of the hotel and it was very clean.

This hotel was a great bang for your buck. Newly remodeled and clean. We got a room with a “living” space in front which was very convenient. The walk to the beach/boardwalk was not as far as I thought it would be. Also easy walk into downtown Santa Cruz. The parking under the hotel was a little tight, so beware if you have larger vehicles, but there are some spots that work for bigger cars. We were able to park our F150 just fine

The room was pretty, but the bathroom smelled like a dirty fish tank, there was mold coming out of the wall, there was dry rot on the outside of the shower, the light above the coffee bar would not shut off, the room keys would not work so we got locked out, and the walls were so thin we could not sleep. The people, in the room above us, sounded like a practicing marching band ALL night and ALL morning! Couldn’t wait to leave the hotel…

We booked 3 rooms and were told only 2 were available even though I had just called and confirmed all 3 rooms. The Fajardo Family had to pack 5 people into one room with just a king and a pull out couch. I have tried calling the hotel all week and have not been able to get ahold of anyone.

Convenient walk to the Warf and Boardwalk. The room waa clean. Being on the first floor was a little noisy once breakfast started.

I was placed in a room with an unlatching door, and the ice machine right outside my door. It was the loudest place I've ever stayed. As well as the beds were like sleeping on cement. At night I went to go use hot tub and kind you I'm handicapped using a cane to only walk by front desk for the two staff members talking badly about guests and not even warn me hot tub was out of order. Overall would never stay again.

We had a great time in Santa Cruz and loved the large room and jacuzzi bathtub. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very beautiful quaint hotel

Then pool was out of order. They charged me for parking and early check in when it was 15 minutes before my check in and I told them I would wait.

I didn't like that I informed the staff multiple times that our shower drain was clogged, I stayed with my family for 4 nights they didn't send anyone to try and fix the issue until the 3rd day, promised they would get me and family into a different room and never did. The staff said they made note of the issue. Which they never did because I tried to check out a day early and see if they would comp a nights stay or refund me a night but they told Expedia I never made the issue known to them when I did the 2 nd day we were there. Just empty promises from the lady at the front desk. Told me I would have to reach out to Expedia for the refund since I book through Expedia. All Expedia did was give me $50 wanks bucks for my next booking

The hotel itself was okay. We had to switch rooms three times, the first two rooms we walked in on the house keepers still cleaning the room and they were not the friendliest at all. After going back and forth between rooms, we finally were able to get into a room. The room looked fine at first until walking into the bathroom… There was long clumps of brown hair in the shower and sink, someone’s used contacts on the floor, and to top it off the towels had blood on them. Then after all the waiting and moving around a hot tub sounded the best, until we got in and it was freezing cold urggg!!!! Was not very impressed with the cleanliness aspect of the hotel. The best thing the hotel has is Samantha at the front desk! She was really nice and very helpful. She did her best to help us and was so understanding about everything.

Overpriced!! Had a room off the atrium. Loud music playing overhead by the hotel. Had to ask the front desk clerk to turn it off. We paid $400 for a hotel that wasnt worth 200

This is an older hotel, but it is clean, updated, and staff are friendly and helpful.

It was clean, well managed, ok rates for the area and we really enjoyed our stay. The complementary breakfast was good, my kids loved it. Overall we were very happy with our stay. We will consider staying again our next trip.

very clean and a good size room, almost excellent if not the people above who constantly walking and stepping loudly after 12 midnight.

The hotel was on a main street in Santa Cruz Ca. The parking was located in an underground garage that was RIDICULOUS! I as well as others consider myself a skilled driver, but literally felt STRESSED& OVERWHELMED with having to oaring in there due to the poor design and narrow spacing they left for parking. I had to crawl over my seat to be able to get out of the door on the otherside because of close the cars are together. One of our rooms, room 119 didn't even have a shower curtain on it& when we asked gor one they brought it for us to put on ourselves. There was also a lot of noise from a group who was partying with a handful of small children and the security guard did nothing when we spoke to him at aboutb10:30, it continued til about 1:30 amexpected some noise and activity, but that was ridiculous especially when you are staying at an establishment with a good reputation like Best Western usually does. I was very disappointed with our stay there.

Staff was great. They had great breakfast choices and when asked to clean room or needed supplies they were on it and probably handled. The only thing that I didn't like was the parking. We showed up at 11pm the next day and had to park on the street. Other than that we will go again. Its a 3 minute drive from boardwalk.

The view from my room needs the fencing to be replaced, not held up by poles and covered with some sort of tarp.

It just a great spot, the breakfast, the service, the conveince. Beware of the parking though. That parking garage they use is roughhhh if you’re not back early enough. The spots are like meant for a motorcycle

The Air conditioner in our room did not work, making for a very uncomfortable stay

The rooms do not come equipped with enough bedding to utilize the sofa bed and when requested there wasn’t any available. The bath tub and shower had mold and a drain that didn’t work.
