Short but enjoyable stay, great single room, plenty of space. Bit of a walk from Southend East station in the hot weather but would stay again.

Easy parking at the rear of the hotel. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Room was clean quiet and comfortable.

Nice clean quite spacious room with double bed and sea view, free local council parking well situated to the rear of the hotel, but very bumpy (four by four recommended). The reception was friendly.

Jamie and the team are always so kind and generous when I stay. Nothing is too much trouble, and they go the extra mile to ensure everything is taken care of. The rooms are generous in size, with a cosy feel to them, the food is excellent and the ambience couldn't be nicer.

This was a last minute booking literally made in the morning. Hotel is beautiful. Staff so helpful and friendly. Food was 1st class. I'm not usually one for leaving reviews but thought that this hotel deserved one!

Excellent hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room with good selection of tea and coffee. Really good restaurant with great menu. Enjoyed sitting out on the decking with a glass of wine!

The room was fair, the plug in the bathroom sink didn’t work, the bedside light was a bit dodgy. There were too many stairs for my bad knees, especially carrying a case down.

Great hotel, awful parking and will stop me staying there in the future as the car park dents cracked my front splitter, causing a few £s worth of damage.

Great family room with a bath and shower. Extremely clean and comfortable, including Amazon Prime on tv. Very accommodating staff - even left a birthday card for my daughter and sang to her at breakfast, with a candle in her toast! 👌

Decent hotel, car park needs major refurbishment, although it’s not the hotels fault as I understand it’s council owned, but mind you don’t damage your car when using. As it looks like bomb damage from world war 2 that hasn’t been repaired, the tv needs to repositioned, wardrobe in the way when sitting in bed. Can’t understand why this hasn’t been addressed, evening meal was excellent, staff attentive and friendly, however cheapest bottle of wine £23, come on you can do better than that Brewers fayre just down the road, £11.80, overall decent but a little expensive especially as it’s low season, one point, its a thing I always expect was never asked how our stay was on check out, all very friendly etc but please enquirer with the guest if the stay was ok.

A short stay for a theatre visit with a friend. Camélia Hotel is perfectly located with lovely views of the estuary. I am intending to return in the spring with my husband

Nice and comfy hotel. Paid for superior room with king size bed but it felt like a standard double. Receptionist said it was five feet wide.

Stayed over for a midweek business trip. Very well maintained and clean hotel, friendly staff and a good restaurant and bar area. I will definitely use this place again on future trips.
