Chalten Suites was the best hotel option in El Chalten, and I’d definitely stay there again. The staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful - especially Tamara and Lautaro, who were absolutely delightful and thoughtful. All front desk staff spoke English, which was nice. The hotel is located on the main thoroughfare, but it had good soundproofing from outside noise. Lots of small grocery stores, restaurants, and bars are within an easy walk of hotel. I stayed in Room 312 - which is a double room with a balcony. It had great views of Mount Fitz Roy, and it is probably the quietest room in the hotel. Room 312 also had easy access to the breakfast buffet (down the hall). Temperatures were comfortable in the room. There was occasional noise from the hall and the next room, but I slept fine - and I’m a light sleeper. Good wind-proofing from the intense winds (no problems with wind whistling through windows - other hotels have reviews indicating issues with this). The WiFi was slow. However, it was slow everywhere in El Chalten, so I think it just can’t be helped in such a remote area. The complementary breakfast was nice. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to El Chalten. And, you will adore Tamara and Lautaro - trust me. :)

Great location and clean

Arguably the best hotel in town with a decent restaurant. Rooms are basic but comfortable and service is very friendly. Centrally located in Chalten with superb views. Not cheap but worth it for the comparables in town.

Beautiful hotel with an excellent breakfast. The only thing we did not like it, they said one night they are going to close the door, and we are tourist we wanted to hang out around the city and get back to our room any time we wanted. At the end they leave the door open. We were very happy :)

We enjoyed our stay, we had a nice view from our room and the choices for BREAKFAST, i’m impressed … I definitely recommend this hotel …

Stayed 4nights/5days. Our room was on 3fl right next to dining hall. Everyone staying on 3fl has to go thru dining hall then our room. Our room had no mt view but rather back yard with construction site ( they were expanding ) making all kinds of noise during day that we couldnt relax or have a peaceful moment at al (hammering, drilling,workers shouting ). They constantly come up ladders and pass by our window that we had to be fully dreesed for whole time. Absolutely no privacy. Our room was right next to dining room and when they start prepare for breakfast 6 am, thats the time we has to wake up bc of noise. Night before Valentine, there were a group of about 15 people having dinner eating, talking, drinking, laughing until 10:30 pm followed by cleaning by staff untill well past midnight. There is a elevator-shute ( just wall behind our room ) transporting foods from kitchen on main floor to 3fl dining room making so much noise I had to wake up and talked with waiter twicw that night plus once at front desk. I spent $800 US Dollar for 4 nights ( $200/night ) for horrible room i have ever had in my 40 yrs of traveling. I do not know about other rooms with mt view but never get room on 3floor in Chalten Suite

The place is wonderful and great stay especially after a long hike. The standard room is not very impressive but the suite is awesome.

Location of the hotel is great. The staff is very helpful. They have prepared a very nice hiking map and they provide many information. You can walk anywhere from the hotel. The hotel was clean. I would say okay. The room And bathroom were big enough. Breakfast was standard. It was nice but a bit expensive for the value you get. My next stay would definitely depend on Proce range.

Very good hotel with clean large rooms. Location is close to the trails and bars/restaurants. Service is fantastic with the staff willing to help with anything. Breakfast is simple but not below the other hotels we experienced on our trip

Not exactly a suite, but not small

Room was sparkling clean, spacious and with great views to the Fitz Roy and surroundings. The bed is just amazing, one of the best sleeps I had in a hotel room. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They can recommend you the best trekkings in the area and you can also borrow trekking sticks for free. Breakfast is really good and everything in town is within walking distance.

No air conditioning.... which would be fine but there are tons of bugs. We didn't get much sleep because we were so hot!

The hotel was very clean and the front staff was very friendly and helpful. They help us set up a massage for the day after our hiking trip, and let us keep our bags there while we went on an overnight camping trip near Fitz Roy. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the free breakfast was quite nice and had a decent selection of food.

We checked in around 10pm, staff was very welcoming and explained things to do and treks Around. Only thing they make you hand the key in to reception every time you leave the room. Overall amazing stay , would def recommend staying here ! Amazing views of the mountains all around

It was unusually warm when we were there so would have been nice if they had A/C when we slept. But that’s the only downside. Very happy with the stay.

My family enjoyed our experience at the Chalten Suites Hotel very much. We stayed for three nights while hiking some of the trails nearby. The front desk staff was especially kind, friendly and helpful! We really enjoyed all of them! Only thing I would maybe steer clear of is the lunch packs they can provide you for hiking - they are really convenient but the sandwiches are pretty bad.. But not a huge deal! The room we were staying in also was very clean but had a certain smell. We had to keep airing the room out to get rid of it. Would still recommend this place for a comfortable stay in Chalten!

Easy to walk to all places. Excursion center, equipment rentals, pharmacy, supermarket, bars and restaurants, hike trails. Rental car parking easy too if needed. Spacious room and bathroom. Mountain view. Super clean. Floor heating. Breakfast with anything you need before a full day outdoors. They prepare lunch bag for hiking day.

Staff are very helpful and rooms are very clean. Excellent location.
