Warmly greeted by Susan and the room, bed and shower were excellent. A quiet place not far from good cafés and shops. Excellent breakfast.

The property was FIRST CLASS. Rooms were spotless and had every convenience , right down to the fans in this humid weather. I had the full English breakfast and it was the best in all my years travelling around the UK. Nothing was too much to ask of the hosts. And , PENRITH is beautiful with so much to do and see. Everything was brilliantly ENGLISH ( this from a Glaswegian!) , the history , the buildings , the stories. The locals were all real friendly in the bars and restaurants ( fantastic selection of places). Just loved the whole trip! 10/10. , Martin Watt

My first experience in a bed and breakfast in Penrith was very nice. Big bay windows and a large bedroom all to myself. The lady who served me was very nice and pleasant with me. She taught me how to open the door if I came back late.

Lovely stay. Very quiet ! My room was very big with a nice en suite. Breakfast room is very nice and eggs poached to perfection. Will definitely return.

The condition of the hotel. Although it was a separate bath room, the tiling and shower was A1.

Lovely, clean hotel. Breakfast was delicious! Our host was really friendly and helpful in advising us about things to do and where to park. Even gave us a parking permit to use. Would definitely book again as one night wasn't enough! Just a short drive away from Ullswater and walking distance from Penrith town centre.

Lovely B&B, very clean. Enjoyed the little extras such as brownies and apples in your room. Breakfast delicious. Ensuite looked brand new, again nice touches such as air freshener and cotton wool pads etc. Would definitely stay here again.

The only downside was thought a private bath met in my room....it consisted of my own toilet half floor down, and a shower one floor down. Extremely helpful host

Excellent breakfast. Good 3 bed family room with en-suite, TV and refreshments. Good central position in Penrith. Friendly host.

Great location. Very clean & nicely decorated room. We were lucky to get a lovely view too. The bed was super comfy. The little treats in the room were a nice surprise. Water, tea selection, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits... not giving it all away. We had a very comfortable stay. Shown alot of attention to detail & making the stay as comfortable as possible. Would fully recommend & stay again.

Clean, helpful and friendly proprietor. Good breakfast. Would stay again. Only slight potential snag is the on street parking bit we had no problem with it.

The property is well located to explore Penrith, Susan the proprietor was very friendly and efficient and the room and its facilities were of a high standard. Would not hesitate to recommend Albany House to fellow travellers.

A quiet very comfortable stay in a renovated Edwardian guest house oozing with character . The town is so interesting with great examples if unspoilt period architecture . We loved the shop fronts , the signage , the ruined castle , the easy access to The Lakes and M6 . Its not only a perfect place for a stop over en route to Scotland but a great position for visiting the towns in the Lake District . In 10 minutes we were at Ullswater . In 5 , we were on the M6 . Penrith is a town which appears not to be totally dependent on tourists so has a very authentic feel . Loved it and the guest house and would like to revisit .

As a woman travelling alone its always a pleasure to stay somewhere like the Albany house. The hosts are very pleasant, the rooms are spotless and the beds are really comfortable. The town center is just a short walk away with a huge choice of bars and restaurants to suit everyone's taste. The breakfast is beautifully presented and cooked to perfection !!

Excellent hotel, very nice welcome. Room very clean and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The breakfast was excellent also. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone .
