The Chatsworth is a very well located, clean boutique hotel with a friendly staff that makes you feel at home! The owner has maintained the charm of The Chatsworth while adding modern features in the rooms. We loved the restored original lift. Felt like stepping back in time.

The sea view was really nice and the hotel overall had a very nice vibe.

I always try to stay here as the service is always impeccable

This is a slightly tired hotel, some grubby areas and stained carpets in our room. Very poor breakfast (also very much overpriced) There are some friendly and helpful younger staff but the man who checked us out was so utterly rude and condescending. I would not recommend this hotal to anyone, avoid

Very dated, carpets stained. No air conditioning, no decaff coffee. No fridge in room. staff friendly. very good location. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. 3 star at best. Bit petty to charge £2.20 for a parking permit when you have paid over £200 for a night's stay without breakfast.

George runs a lovely beachfront hotel. The location is great and the service was top notch. Happy to support a family owned business. Would gladly stay here again.

Room was large and clean (unfortunately stains on carpet but to be expected nowdays with tea and coffee facilities in room) Breakfast wasn't great, coffee machine not working properly on first day and the omelette at the "egg station" not good. Had poached eggs the next day and much better. Sausages looked enemic and overall hot food not great. Staff at the hotel were very polite and helpful and made stay better.

Communal areas, tho not to everyone’s taste, well maintained comfortable, clean and with a touch of luxury. Staff were quite exceptional in their attitude and care. Always with a sincere smile. Room was in need of refurbishment. Carpet was badly stained and pillows and bedding could do with upgrading. But all was clean and bed was large and comfortable. Wonderful views and good to have balcony tho again could do with refurbishment. Breakfast was good quality and plenty of choice and again staff couldn’t be faulted in their care and attentiveness. Location and convenience of hotel was excellent and good value for money because of this. I would stay here again but would take my own pillow.

Absolutely love this hotel! I would love to go back and spend more time! The room was fantastic! Views were outstanding and the staff treats you like royalty!

I loved this hotel for a mini break with my dog. Right on the seafront. Surrounded by easy to walk to cafes and restaurants. Great customer service. Rooms were bright, clean and well stocked with tea and coffee for a nice lie in! The gym was ok but could do with a bit of care, CV equipment not working but a good range of dumbells and cable machines. Lovely little bar for an evening drink. I would definitely go back and the dog not being an issue is a total bonus. What a beautiful hotel!

Lovely stay at this hotel. Best thing is definitely the staff, who were extremely welcoming and attentive.

Can’t understand how this hotel is a 5* spa retreat rated at 9.2. Soundproofed junior suite is not soundproofed. You can hear all cars driving by. Leaky kettle, pg tips, dated furniture and bland beige decor. When challenged about noise staff were just rude and didn’t come to listen. £560 for a night. £60 taken off the bill. They have ignored our emails asking for more for 3 days. Soundproofed description should be changed. Avoid.

Classy well designed upgrade on a grand building, well run and convenient.

A beautiful building, superb staff nicely decorated in the public areas. Cob webs and dirty tea making area in our room, and only okish breakfast were the only low points which were a surprise at over £320 per night. Calling out the amazing welcome that we received from the hotel manager and Staff members . Really friendly and helpful. The 1920’s lift with a seat is a really high point !

We loved the location, the building, the vintage lift, and the size of our room and bathroom and the comfortable bed. However, there were some unusual aspects for a property charging £283 a night room only... The bathroom door had no closure, the sink and bidet had no waste plug, there was no hand soap so we had to use a tube of shower gel and no other toiletries other than shampoo were available. Most annoyingly, the night we stayed there was loud music being played on the ground floor and we were staying right above. At midnight, I rang reception and was told that the music would stop in 10 minutes, which it did, but I do feel that staff should have alerted us that there was going to a loud party going on until past midnight, and/or moved us a floor or 2 up to avoid the worst of the noise. Also, when we checked out we found it unusual for a hotel of this calibre that the employee on duty didn't ask us if we'd had a pleasant stay or any issues.

The hotel was charming and the room was very clean and comfortable. A musician was playing outside until 9:30pm but then the area got quiet.

Great small hotel, well kept and friendly staff

This hotel would. It allow me to move my stay with 3 days notice. I caught COVID and had to move my trip. They would not allow it, even though they had vacancies. Very disappointing. I will not be a customer ever again.

The hotel was extremely confortable, and staff extremely friendly. It's a small hotel, so the team remember who you are which was quite nice! Breakfast was tasty, and the dining room was lovely. Lift old fashioned but that was lart of the charm. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

hard to understand what makes this property a 5 star. the rooms are nice but definitely not a 5 star hotel. booked a room for 3 people and one of us was provided with a sofa with sheets on it...we were offered alternative arrangement which resulted in a mattress on the floor... furniture was not well kept, with stains and some tings damaged, carpet with many stains.. also the room was equipped for 2 people although we booked for 3, 2 cups, 2 bottles of water, 2 sets of cosmetics etc... towels were poor quality, some old and all stained and not cleaned well. the breakfast was ok but nothing special. also their lift really hard to use. biggest disappointment they advertised the hotel to have a spa but we were told there wash no spa upon arrival. George was very kind and tried his best to make use feel welcome but overall I would not book again. refurb the hotel or lower the stars. and do not advertise it has a spa when its not true.

The staff at the Chatsworth were so friendly, and accomodating. It made our short stay even nicer, to recieve good customer service. The location of the hotel is great, as everything you need is within walking distance. The breakfast is very tasty. There was nothing we could fault with this hotel.

Great location on the beach and near the pier! Lovely old building and large rooms with big, beautiful marble bathrooms. They only offereda 20 pound buffet breakfast in the dining room and no dinner service. We had a la carte breakfast room service but it was cold. Filtered for laundry on Expedia website and it showed laundry facilities but none were available.

Wonderful hotel with excellent staff and perfect location. Our room was in need of some repairs, but nothing major - we didn't mind. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

Lovely room and hotel

Excellent hotel, clean, nothing was too much trouble for the staff they were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was superb.
