Excellent hotel, clean and safe and perfect location for shopping at WEM

we are live in Hyatt place Edmonton west Hotel from October 11 to 13. Before we left the room on the afternoon of October 12th, we went to the front desk to request for housekeeping service. front desk staff also made the application and wrote it down in his notebook. But when we came back to the room at night, the room had not been cleaned at all! So we went to the front desk again to ask, a female staff at the front desk, the attitude is very perfunctory and told us that “no one can do housekeeping service for you today, at most give you a few clean towels, while taking away the garbage”. She said if you're not satisfied, speak to the manager in person tomorrow. We checked out on October 13th and told the front desk that we wanted to communicate with the manager, but the front desk told us that the manager was away for the weekend and could only give us the manager's email. As for hyatt, we have lived in different countries for many times, and we are really disappointed this time!

Rooms were nice and clean however the beds were very uncomfortable and hard, a nice hotel like this should atleast have comfy beds, very cheaply made beds in a nice hotel, definately something wrong when the pull out couch is more comfy then the actual bed

The bed linens were very loud, it sounded like paper and they weren't comfy at all. Further, the A/C in the room worst go below 20.5 Celsius. It's locked out, making the room warm all night. As such, we won't stay here again.

Breakfast was really good, especially fruit salad , greek yogurt w/ honey and various topping, and also steel cut oatmeal .

Great clean hotel in perfect location for West Edmonton Mall, nice layout for quick complimentary breakfast. Pool area is clean. Hit or miss whether your room will be cleaned when you are gone tho. Friendly service from front desk.

I paid over $600 per night for this room during a holiday weekend, so my expectations were very high. I was very disappointed to find huge burn marks in the carpeting of our room, and the walls full of marks and scratches. After a long drive, I was shocked to find no complimentary water bottles. I will not be staying there again.

Was a good hotel. Just need to enforce the rule of no kids in pool at 10 - 11 pm. Was tons of kids in when we wanted some quiet time. Otherwise great.

Room size was good but beds and sofa uncomfortable, breakfast crowded and bad quality. Service is ok.

Wasnt impressed with the cleanliness of our room. There were stains on both sides of one couch cushion and stains on the carpet. Also had a funny smell.

Overall everything was great except the beds are getting tired. There are dense ,attires covers on the mattress that makes it quite difficult to roll over or move. Also, the beds are quite noisy from the time you sit on them to get into bed and every time someone gets out of or back into bed during the night. We have stayed there many times and it always been a good sleep but I think it’s time to retire those mattresses and get some new ones. Breakfast was great as usual, everything you could want in a hot breakfast…real scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, pancakes or waffles, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, canned fruit, boiled eggs, different breads for toast, cereals, milk juice, coffee

Very good experience

Although it is a generally clean hotel, the sofa in the room was stained, there were marks on the wall, the carpet in the room permanently stained the socks I felt I had to wear due to the condition. The little fridge didn’t work and although I asked for it to be looked at it wouldn’t keep anything cold. When you looked closely at the cleanliness you could see that the rooms, the elevator etc needed a deep clean.

Nice but fairly busy hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room carpeting could stand a good cleaning, but the room and bathroom were otherwise quite clean. The hide-a-bed needs to be either repaired or greased as it squeaked loudly with even the smallest movement. The very busy continental breakfast had a fairly limited selection and pancakes ran out quickly on pancake day. In-house restaurant meal options also limited but were quite good. Convenient location from the mall, a quick and easy drive. Pool and hot tub were nice, other than the misbehaving children who were not being parented. The gym looked decently equipped for its size, but I didn’t actually use it. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again, but it might not be my first choice.

Good service, good quality, yummy breakfast.

We were required to use our room keycard to go up in the elevator. Although a little inconvenient at first, it certainly improved overall security. One elevator had a minor mechanical issue - it shuddered and then opened up on the ground floor a few cm above the floor level. I alerted management.

Breakfast was excellent. If there there was a line up it clear fast.like .that there was a lot of kids time in the pool. Staff was great and the elevator

Clean and convenient

Excellent breakfast! Very clean and updated. Just needed a 3rd elevator for how busy it was and more than 2 towels for 5 guests.

The front desk staff was amazing along with the breakfast staff. There was a man working in the breakfast area who had long hair with a beard. He was so friendly and was very quick when it came to refilling things. The hotel was clean but the pool was gross and felt slimy. When we to our room the floor became disgustingly slimy from the pool water dripping off us. I also Hated the 500 pound bathroom sliding door, that has got to go 😂
