Bedroom/bathroom were like a black hole. Numerous lights not working. No light above the coffee maker ( and even if there was there was a display suitcase between the ceiling and the coffee machine. No milk. After I repaired seal on shower door there was no shelf to put anything on. Limited space above the basin as well. Carpet had obviously been fitted by an amateur. Bed was extremely hard and then to breakfast. Please explain how you eat toasted sourdough bread without cutting your gums ? Finally on a positive note...the evening meal was excellent, and very enjoyable. In summary, this hotel needed a darn good refit, stained carpets in corridors, missing lamps,and smart attire for the employees would all contribute to a far more pleasurable stay.

Awful customer service!! I left some property at the hotel and notified the day we checked out - after 2 calls, 1 voicemail and 3 emails with no response, I’ve accepted the fact that no one cares and that I won’t be getting my property back. The rooms were ok, but a bit dusty and the windows needed a clean!

Like a student bed sit. Worst hotel I’ve been in for 20 years. It’s many many DIY faults could possibly be ignored, but being filthy is unforgivable.

Gorgeous room, comfortable bed, accommodating staff even when I checked in late after a gig, super clean and my own coffee machine! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a beautiful room near the city!

Tastefully decorated rooms, comfortable and well appointed with some nice touches and aesthetic quirks. Spacious dining area… cooked to order breakfast was great! Nice garden area. Friendly staff. Short walk from Norwich city centre and on site free parking was a plus.

Good location but no AC and above the pub did detract from the experience. Staff friendly and helpful, provided a fan which helped.

Everything was good. Attractive property in a area close to the City centre. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Big room where everything worked. planning to go there again.

I booked a room as it was my husband’s Birthday that weekend & we planned to have an evening out in Norwich. I had looked at a few hotels in the area & picked The Georgian Townhouse as the pictures looked lovely on the site. We never used the bar or restaurant as we were out for most of the day. Our room was a standard double room, it was cosy warm & had a comfortable bed. The room was clean at eye level. The curtains were full of dust that needed a good hoover there were large cobwebs in all of the corners of the room and a large amount of dust behind the dressing table.. There was a tray of nuts & crisps provided which you had to pay a small fee for, however they were out of date. The bathroom tiles & panel needed a good clean too. I left there feeling disappointed very dusty & tired. On a positive note The Townhouse is in an excellent location

I love the GT, I've stayed before and will stay again. The only gripe is the bathroom was too cold. Freezing in fact. Ruled out using the bath. I don't want anyone to be put off by this review, it's a must stay in the perfect location but if the bathroom was heated would have been a 10/10 instead of a 9/10

Good location, great space, lovely bath

We had a fantastic stay in the apartments of The Georgian Townhouse, the rooms were a great size and the bed was both huge and comfortable. The hotel is only a short walk into the city centre and there's some lovely cafe's on the way. Checking in and out was seamless and we were even able to access the room a few hours early. The staff we met were all very polite and friendly, I'd highly recommend a stay there.

It was my first time visiting Norwich with my friend and we had an absolute lovely stay here, it was right next to the cathedral and a quick walk to the shops and city. The room itself was big, bright but also nice and warm with this cold weather outside! Had an amazing night sleep the bed was massive and the linen was super soft and there was on sight parking too which was a great convenience. Definitely recommend and will hopefully stay there again for my next visit to Norwich.

This hotel is lovely, we stayed in The Stables which was so quirky and would definitely stay again, it was clean, warm and had everything you could want. The location is peaceful and so romantic, I am glad we had a suite rather then in the main hotel as that was very busy and we could not park as no space.

Service is always a disappointment here, very patchy, rarely leaves one feeling like a valued customer. Bar staff friendly but too much time chatting rather than being on the ball. Premises good but apartments across from main building could so easily be fab. Overall average but lots of potential

Disappointing. Looked pretty but impractical for the stay. I expect things to have been thought through. Also lack of parking made it very annoying.

Good hotel, spacious rooms, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Do ask for a room not on the main road; noise woke me up earlier than I hoped.

Awesome, amazing hotel fantastic stay at a great rate. The larger hotels chains should visit to see how it can be done.

Lovely apartment close to the city centre with great parking!

Upon arriving at the Georgian Townhouse to check in the person on reception was on the phone and did not even acknowledge ourselves and appeared to completely blank us for a good few minutes. The instructions to get to the room were ok. On reaching the room we found the it was on the ground floor next to the main door and not the Loft Apartment that had been booked through Hotels.com On going back to the reception area I was basically told that was the only room they had and take it or leave it! The room was extremely noisy and the door to the room banged each time people entered or left by the main door due to a poorly fitted door latch. A number of the curtain rings had come off the curtains so you were unable to close them fully. The room wasn't cleaned and bed made the next day for our next nights stay. Some of the plug sockets did not work in the room. The only TV channels available were the main terrestrial ones as the additional free view channels were not tuned in. I am not impressed by the standard or service given.
