It was the 4th or 5th time we have stayed here. It is always excellent value. The only downside this time, the rooms could do with a freshen up and the shower drain in the bathroom had an unpleasant smell which you noticed as soon as you entered the hotel room.

Stay at the ibis quite a lot as it’s comfy beds and great shower. Concerned about the mould on the ceiling in our room, looked like a leak had happened.

Firstly when got into the room there was a dead spider on the bed, there was hairs on the duvet, the bed side table half of the trim was hanging off and rough, stains on the walls and carpets, and mould around the windows, there was no hand towel just 2 large shower towels, the Aircon or fan was not working and was told it’s not cold enough outside for it to work so was given a plug in fan which was useless as the plug socket was the other side of the room.

Staff were very helpful and attentive. The room was lovely and clean the bathroom and shower was very spacious and really well designed. Hotel location is perfect for quick access to the city. £3 for 24 hours parking at the multi storey a few minutes walk is perfect.

You should be upfront that this is not a hotel per se. If you have long term residents then be honest. You might also want to clean up the exterior and remove the muddy hand prints from the windows and the cigarette ends etc. it’s a poor look when people arrive. I understand it’s cheap, but you could smarten it up and make people at least feel welcome. I’m from Hull, so no snob, but this was a poor experience and not one I’ll repeat. You are heading down the same route of other hotels. It’s very poor and a very poor look for the city.

2 lovely ladies when we checked in, that was the only positive thing. Breakfast was dry, overcooked, dirty tables, things weren’t replenished. Reception guy was interested in giving out free breakfasts to 4 police officers whilst there was only 1 lady multi tasking

Perfect location for my needs, the staff were really friendly and welcoming and the hotel was spotlessly clean. Will definitely stay there again if I ever need to go to Hull again

Myself and friends were using Hull as a base for trips to Beverley and York and evenings with other friends in Hull. The hotel was ideal for our needs and was great value for money. We were allowed an earlier check in at no extra cost and one problem we did have was managed quickly and efficiently. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable and a very good shower. The hotel is situated only 2-5 mins walk from the train station and near all the amenities that Hull has to offer. All in all we had a brilliant time.

First time away in over 40 years. I enjoyed my couple days away. Whenever i spoke to front desk staff were really nice friendly and polite. My room was perfect
