Location on Granville Island, and the view of False Creek.
Too much furniture in the room. The “elderly” furnishings got in the way of moving safely around the room.

The location is great. They have a number of amenities, and fantastic views. You are close to anything on the island, and really only a $15 taxi ride to downtown if you need to go.
The hotel is a little expensive, but it was a nice treat for a weekend getaway.

I attempted to extend my stay before checking in but I was told the same room was not available so they doubled the rate because it was an more expensive room. I then went on line and booked the same room. This was not okay, I called booking . Com but they did nothing

Only hotel on Granville island. Fabulous location close to all lovely shops, small parks.
Very convenient and great restaurant next door.
Very quiet room and super comfy bed.
Had a great stay.

We were warmly welcomed. They upgraded our room for a ocean view with balcony. Nice touch. The room was clean, well appointed and the bed was very comfortable.
Parking could be included in the price. The jaccuzi is in the small gym, just behind the stationary bicycles.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Granville Island Hotel, with a span of 4 years in between, and it was as outstanding as I remembered - in every way! I will definitely return and highly recommend to others.
I just wish we could have stayed longer!

Granville island is cute but I don’t think it’s a destination for more than one night.
The rooms are quite small and have a musty smell. The restaurant space and outdoor dining patio are great but close pretty early.

Location. Restaurant.
The heating/cooling fan came on at 3:20am and none of the controls would work to turn it off. We unplugged it.

We had a room with two doubles. It was super tight. Hard to move around the room. Had to choreograph our moves. Did not have balcony (winter time, didn't want one), but view was beautiful out to False Creek. I have to say, the washroom was a bit dangerous and odd. No towel racks. Strange. HUGE shower but NO SAFETY RAILS NOR HAND GRAB. Entire washroom hard tiles. Glass shower. metal glass. Porceline soap dish. Etc. Okay if you dont have a kid. The washroom could have been cleaner. Lots of dirt and whatever around edges of shower, sink, vanity. Very old style television package. Nothing modern about that. Old style TV controller. Guess it goes with the cable package they have. We were there for medical trip, so had to spend a bit of time in the room. Early staff so-so, but the afternoon and evening staff were amazing and so fun. Very friendly to our little Schnauzer. Beds were amazingly comfortable Pillows, not so much. A bit hard. Most hotels give you several so you can choose. No extra blankets in the closer. Would have liked a blanket. hotel staff who did rooms were very nice. We didn't use them for the trip, but they offered and were super friendly. We used to live in Vancouver. 68 years. Walking distance of downtown and False Creek. We love this town. Very beautiful and the hotel is in a great location.
As above, washroom was so hard, cold, a bit dangerous. In fact, how they get away wtih NOT having some sort of safety device in the shower is beyond me. If a person were to slip, there is NOTHING to grab to stop your fall.

Have used this Hotel on our visits to Canada, travelling from UK every couple of years. Our "Happy Place." Granville Island is a MUST place to visit with, in my opinion, the best market in the World. Hotel is a great place to stay with fantastic views.
Nothing at Granville Island I didn't like. Although Downtown Vancouver has changed so much since our first visit and I would not recommend visitors going there. Drugs, needles on pavements, zombies walking the streets, witnessed person "spaced out on metro line and more. Still a beautiful place to visit but do your homework first.
A good friend who lives in Vancouver recently visited Glasgow. Said she felt safer walking around Glasgow on her own than Vancouver!

Great service in the restaurant and lounge despite it being a busy Christmas season weekend with many parties going on. Friendly and efficient, and good food.
Not thrilled about having to pay for parking, considering how much we paid for our room. A little over the top in that category
