The room was spacious, location was great for our purposes, it was quiet, and staff was very friendly and helpful.

The bed was a bit hard for my taste but I slept very well despite that. The bathroom lighting wasn't the best for makeup application.

First of all the man said I could check in early after being on a flight all night and then when we get there it’s all know you gotta wait till 3 o’clock then they were really rude about canceling the reservation. Then all of a sudden they come all the way out to work hard to tell us all your reservation is canceled and I’ll look. It’s completed on here.

Staff

Breakfast was nice, alternating choices every other day, breakfast staff was friendly and on point. Room was huge and the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Location was good, easy travel to and from airport, Busch Gardens and over to Clearwater Beach area All staff was friendly and very helpful, extra towels and bedding were provided quickly when asked for. I had to call at 10:30 at night after a half hour of what sounded like elephants jumping off the beds upstairs and they handled it immediately.

Some areas of the room didn't seem the cleanest and I am not very hard to please. It had a funky pet or sock smell when the ac was not running but that cleared up when ac was turned on. There was also a very visible bread bag tab along the edge of the bed with some crumbs and something else that may have been brown cereal(?!) in another visible corner...we had not eaten anything in the room. The alarm clock would not keep time and obviously we had our phones but its nice to be able to glance at a clock as you are rushing around. Those are the only areas I was a little disappointed about.

My initial impression was amazing. I was greeted happily by one of the girls at the front desk. She offered me a free water and seemed genuinely happy to be there. It smelled clean inside the lobby and the rooms were clean. The hotel is older, but you can tell they are trying their best.

I got a text from “Ivy” that she was my “personal concierge” for my stay. That I should just text her if I need anything at all. I noticed the USB charging ports were not working and asked if there was a trick to getting them to work (maybe there was a switch I had to turn on or something?) she didn’t respond to me, so I called the front desk and VERY NICELY asked if there was any chance they had a charging block that I could use to plug my cord into so I could charge me phone. The girl was very rude and acted like my question was an inconvenience to her. I was simply trying to get my phone charged and one of the basic accommodations in the room was broken. I continued to attempt to text ivy about this situation and she never responded to me.

The bed was super comfortable. Staff was great. Best hotel I have stayed in traveling for races this year.
