The staff were wonderful

We loved our stay, the rooms were comfortable. loved the complimentary coffee and cookies, free use of the bikes, boogy boards umbrellas and chairs. everyone was so friendly and helpful. thank You again Linda and Keith :)

Noisy and ineffective air conditioning unit, cramped room

Good location, fab restaurant for breakfast. Everyone was very kind and nice.

I really liked this hotel the only two things I would mentioned is when we arrived the reception staff were on a break so we had to wait half an hour to check in. Also it was very noisy in the morning with the cleaners outside the room. Neither are big issues though and wouldn’t stop me returning.

room was really clean, the bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. the bathroom was updated and modern. Very accommodating for our frenchie. Cleaning staff was nice and friendly.

Wifi was horrible. I could not work in the room or the lobby. this would be a place for relaxing only - no internet capabilities really.

Great location for walking to many places.

The room was very clean. The bathroom very clean. The kitchen area and all the supplies were clean and fresh. The air conditioner worked well (but noisy, like most of these type of window units are) the remote to control the airconditioner did not work...there were batteries in it and I checked for corrosion. Television with cable was good (that remote worked good) and the printed channel guide was accurate. Bed was comfortable and linens/pillows/blankets were good. Walls, carpeting and ceiling very clean and free of cobwebs, dust etc..

WI-FI experience was not great. The pass word was confusing because there were three WI-FI names and it took several tries to connect to them. But when we were finally able to connect, their system did work good, but not great.

The hotel and room were sweet. The wonderful pluses are the people who work here and the food.

Location and Bistro

The Crown City Inn suits our needs very well. The rooms and lobby are clean and comfortable. The bed linens are attractive and meticulously clean. Coffee, tea, pure water, and cookies are available. In addition, many bicycles are provided at no additional cost. We can park our car right outside our room and leave it there during our whole stay--a welcome break from freeway driving. We walk (rather than bike) all over Coronado, from the Inn to the Ocean, to the Ferry Landing and San Diego Harbor and skyline, the Hotel Del, interesting shops, a movie theatre, a couple of live theaters, drugstore, grocery store, many restaurants, and cafes. A big plus for us is that the beautiful Coronado Library is only a block away. Also, the Crown Bistro, a separate business, is attached to the Inn and offers delicious meals at the end of the day when we don't want to walk anymore. We love the Crown City Inn and Bistro!

One of the queen-sized beds sloped slightly. When I spoke of it to the woman at the desk, she said they would look into it.

It’s old with up graded bathroom. It was nice to use their bikes. We were charged an extra $30 which may have been for the bikes.

Everything is overpriced in Coronado. Anywhere else a room like this would be half the price but we love being there.
