The only positive thing about the hotel is the staff at the hotel who are very friendly and respectable. The Hotel's location is also ideal.

This is the second time staying at Golf and still disappointed. For what's supposed to be the best hotel in the area the rooms are way below average for the charges. Everything is outdated in the rooms from the couches to the bathrooms to the light fixtures. I would not recommend.

the setting , in particular the grounds were very attractive with a lush garden ,nice swimming pool close to town

the rooms were very dated and the bathroom in poor condition the sink and the bath and toilet seat were pitted and had peeling paint and generally the building was dated . The food options were limited with one dinner dining option with a basic menu, and breakfast a small buffet , instant coffee etc

The Golf Hotel is my go to place in Kakamega. While the building and rooms may be a little tired I can totally overlook that because of the staff, the cleanliness and the location. it is excellent value for money with beautiful grounds.

The rooms may be a little tired but I can live with that.

The food

Nicht viel. Hotel ist einfach zu finden. Handtücher waren neu. TV ist neu.

Zimmer sind nicht schön. Alte Möbel. Badezimmer echt alt,. No Screen on windows! No air conditioning so I had to open the window! Staff extreme slow. Not properly trained at all by management. Lots of people standing around but cannot do much. Waiter at dinner wrote down our orders as an essay and still messed up! Wrong wine, wrong chicken, etc. WHY take notes if he cannot follow them? It took 20 minutes for them to print out my receipt.

Location was okay, with good illumination, variety of food to select from

The staff was always very friendly. The room was big and the beds were comfortable. The ribs and fries were great.

The rooms had old locks that did not work or were Brocken so we had to walk around with our valuables. The old fluorescent lights would flicker when turned on. The hotel rooms need an upgrade. For a hotel considered to be the best in kakamega this was very disappointing.
