We had a good stay at Edelweiss residence. We enjoyed the location, the room and all of the facilities.

the accommodation had everything, which made my stay very comfortable. Big room and shower and a kitchen. the bed was very comfortable and it has a big seating area outside with a view over the lovely garden. The residence is in the middle of the nature, which makes the place very quiet and secluded. it’s about 10 minutes walking to the sea/restaurants. The owner was very kind and asked me questions how to improve the place. If you are looking for a comfortable stay, this is the one!

At night, the road could be quite dark on the way to the residence. I asked someone to walk with me, so it was not an issue. :)

The place is very modern and pretty.The kitchen is amazing and the wifi works nicely.

We enjoyed our stay at Edelwis Residence really much. We had the specious studio on the top floor with nice kitchen, new bathroom, aircon, van, terrace and a balcony. You can reach the beach by foot, it is about 5 minutes walk. It takes quite the same time to get to the main road where all shops and cafes are located. However it seems more convenient to rent a motorbike or at least a bicycle to get easily to the lagoon and the big supermarkets which are closer to Hikkaduwa bus station. But the drinking water can be bought in a tiny shop 1 minute away on the way to the main road. What I enjoyed was also the quiet neighborhood. I am a light sleeper but nothing bothered me so I could have a good rest. The owner allowed us to use a washing machine which was nice of him as we had almost no clean clothed left after our journey through the island and also arranged an airport drop for us. It was our third time in Sri Lanka and if we happen to come again, the Edelwis Residence will be of choice.

It is not that we disliked but it worth knowing. This is a three-storey building with a car shed on the ground floor. The premises is not suitable for the people with handicap.
