We absolutely loved Rose Cottage, Very cute and cosy, I’m originally from hawera and I never knew rose cottage was right around the corner, my partner loves wild life, so find out there a pet deer there made his day, and our host Gloria was so amazing and lovely, we will see you on our next stay ❤️ Jay & Kyron

A lovely tranquil stopover for us. The cottage is down a beautiful long hydrangea lined driveway and so was extremely quiet. Found the garden interesting even though weather makes February a challenging month. Gloria was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a nice meal in Hawera which was only a few minutes drive away.

Quite,cute little cottage, was a little hard to find as Google maps tried to send us down a farmtrack nearby but not accessible to the property. On arrival we were we welcomed by the host, Gloria. Internet was patchy at best, but we are told this is to improve with fibre coming. Overall a short but pleasant stay.

I never sleep well when I stay away from home. But I fell asleep in 5 mins and struggled to get out of bed in the morning. So quiet and peaceful. With family living nearby, I will be back for sure 😁

Everything you might require for a simple, relaxed, comfortable stay for a couple of nights in the Hawera/Southern Taranaki area. Private, set amongst trees, all the amenities, good bed, bathroom and kitchen facilities. Excellent friendly host, with a friendly dog and deer.

Just perfect for couples. The cottage had everything we needed and was beautiful and clean. Gloria was an amazing host with a stunning property. We'll definitely go back. 5 stars.

Rose Cottage has everything for the person wanting nothing more than quiet time in a relaxed, compact and non-intrusive space. There's nothing pretentious to be found here. From my first contact with the host I hoped this would be a special stay for me - and it was an exceptional stay. The host is grounded and non-assuming - we both felt so honoured to be welcomed into their environment. The grounds are lovely. The cottage is well kept and clean and while close to the hosts home, it still gives a sense of privacy which we were thankful for. The bed is comfy as, and the heater is quality (!!) needed for early morning starts. No complaints - can't wait to head back

When you drive down the drive it's like you are driving through a gateway to another world. Beautiful gardens nice little cottage tucked away amongst the trees. Lovely host. Fantastic weekend

Due to bookabach settings we were not given the ph number to contact host. This lead us to going around in circles upon arrival - could not confirm exact location of entrance on road.

Very disappointed that the hot tub advertised had not been turned on for months, therefore unavailable during our stay. This should be corrected with respect to online advertising to avoid misleading people.
