Minns cottages were very clean and had everything you need if you want to cook It’s close to the street so it can be loud at times. You can smell exhaust fumes if out on the screen porch. ( one thing to note: you are supplied with 2 rolls toilet paper and 1 paper towel.. so when you run out you need to go and buy more- not what I expected or wanted to shop for on vacation!) the property owner was excellent at giving recommendations for car rentals, food, etc if you are plan to stay at the cottage just know they could use some updates (bath/kitchen) but overall it was fine as we were out most of the day. It’s close to town but a tough walk as there is no sidewalk. A car is a must!

Good value, great location. Not waterfront but across the road from a small beach and close to Georgetown . We would stay again!

Overall a really nice and convenient place to stay. It’s older and could use some upgrades but we don’t mind that.

Great spot for long term stays--screened in patio is a bonus.

Needs a face lift upgrade to kitchen and bathroom. has that 60/70's look . Bedroom nice and comfortable and appoint well. Road noise can be loud from trucks and smell of deasil fumes. but at night screened Poarch is mellow. All very good for budget minded young couple.

My husband and I had a great stay at Monica’s cottage for our honeymoon. It is perfectly located near Georgetown, beautiful beaches and the infamous Fish Fry. I would recommend renting a car to explore the remainder of the island but essentials are within walking distance. The cottage was clean and well equipped, and we appreciated access to beach chairs, coolers, etc. Monica was a great host.

Across from a beach and walking distance to stores and restaurants. Older, but clean property. Well equipped with everything you need. You will need to bring shampoo and coffee but they supply a lot of towels, including beach towels. Also, beach chairs and coolers are available. The property manager is always available but not intrusive.

Great hidden gem, for a good price, Monica was very good with communication and even stopped by to say hello. Enjoyed the serene beautiful spot with easy access to everything the island offers, can walk to local spots, but I say rent a car and explore the hidden beaches!!

Very clean property. One mile round trip walk to town. Very convenient to restaurants and grocery store. Monica was an excellent host and responsive to inquiries. Would stay here again. Recommend to those visiting to rent a boat from Minns to visit Stocking Island. The water taxi only runs between 11 am and 5pm which may shorten your exploration. Be sure to eat at Shirley’s. It is delicious!

Everything about this place was great

We had an amazing stay at Minns cottages, Monica is extremely helpful and helped us plan most details of our stay in George Town. We did not need to take any taxis, everything was in walking distance. To the left, the fish fry. We went to the karaoke bar there and had so much fun! To the right, you have the whole town with grocery stores and liquor stores and many nice little restaurants. However , after 6pm most businesses are closed. Monica was kind enough to get us some groceries for the first day because we arrived later. Directly across the street there is a huge beach, with no other people and an abandoned resort, there is a sunken boat to the left side of the pier there between the wooden pillars and the snorkeling was absolutely amazing ! We got picked up for our excursions right at our front door step. If you’re looking for a quiet, laid back, nature escape from a busy city, this is the place to go! The people are so friendly and Monica was the best !! We highly recommend !

We spent a week at the Minns Cottages and had a great time. The cottages are in a great location and there is a small beach across the street (and a snorkeling reef off the nearby point). Monica is very friendly and helpful, always offering us suggestions and answering any questions we had. The cottage was well equipped and we had everything we needed during our stay. The screened in porch was really nice to sit on in the evening. When we return to Exuma, we sill definitely stay here again!

We were hesitant when we saw the cottages were attached to each other. But we were booking last minute and not much was in our price range. We took the chance and so glad we did. All the cottages are well designed to give privacy to all. We would definitely book here when we come back to George Town. The cottage managers were most helpful giving us new laundry detergent when it ran out immediately.

We stayed at the 1 bedroom villa for 5 days and it was quite and cozy. The place is very close to town center of George Town, 10-15min walk, 3 min drive. Monica provided all information we needed and she response super fast. The only downside of the place is that there are many mosquitos and sandfly in the yard, but this is the problem of the island. Keep your door shut and keep them out of the house. I would definitely recommend the stay to others.

Good location has everything you need.

Very clean. Bed was wonderful. Air conditioning throughout the cottage made it so comfortable. Convenient walk to the beach for relaxing and snorkeling. Outdoor showers for when you want a rinse coming in from the beach but not ready for the real deal until later. Host was completely adorable and made sure every need was met. Screened in porches and shade trees along with a BBQ patio were so nice.

Location is great, just across the street from a lovely beach and location is just a quick trip into town. Centrally located to head out and explore east or west areas of the island. While walking along the beach in knee depth water my husband said, "There's a shark following you" and sure enough about 3 feet back and out a few feet was a nurse shark about 6 feet long just following me as I walked-it never got closer to me and accompanied me to the end of the beach and then took off for deeper waters. Monica was absolutely wonderful, accommodating, and very easy to visit with. . Always felt safe. Also rented a boat for a day to explore the sound and sandbars.

Really enjoyed the cottage and all that came with it. The view was fantastic and the screened in porch was very nice to have. I would rent again if we ever come back to Exuma.

Vielen Dank noch mal. Das Haus ist schön und geräumig und war sauber, allerdings etwas Straßenlärm. Der sonstige Zustand entsprach genau den Fotos.

Nice unit. Just as described. Nice to be able to walk across the street to the water, beach and good snorkeling. You are on the one main road of the island. A little noisy but not bad.

Minn’s property is perfect for groups - our group had both Ixora condos and the Buttercup location. Exuma is unreal! We will be back. Location is accessible and close to a beach. The condos had everything we needed and the air conditioning was amazing (something that I usually find lacking in beach cottages). There’s stuff within walking distance but you really do need a rental car. Monica is an exceptional host. She knew the shops would be closed when we arrived on Christmas Day so she offered to get us some groceries ahead of that. She also had a family emergency before we arrived but there was still someone waiting to us upon check-in. She still replied to any questions I sent through the app within an hour. Overall, very responsive, friendly, and helpful!

I probably should keep this to myself but that wouldn't be fair to Monica!! For me, this cottage and location are magic. The usual Caribbean stuff is here; view, weather, ocean, water activities - but that's not what makes this place special. This is as kind and humble a location as I've ever experienced, The people, starting with the sweet Monica, are friendly but not imposing. The accommodations and supplies in George Town are ample and sufficient without being stiff and formal. In short, this is a perfect place for someone who likes thing unadorned, not touristy, and peaceful.

This was mine and my partners first time visiting The Bahamas and Monica provided us with a beautiful location and superb service! The cottage is only a 10 minute walk from the town center which provides everything from banks, grocery store, restaurants, boat rentals and the fish fry is 10 minutes away as well (highly recommend the restaurants there). Monica was great to deal with and will even book you transportation to and from the airport if needed. I will definitely return to The Bahamas and recommend to anyone that they visit this beautiful group of Islands and stay at any of Minns Cottages.

We stayed in one of the cottages for 6 days and found everything to be exactly as advertised. The ocean is a stone's throw away and the grounds are lovely. The cottage has been recently renovated and is in excellent condition. The kitchen was well equipped and we had a hard time finding items we didn't have at home. The king bed was very comfortable and the linen was clean and soft. Lots of fresh towels, etc. The a/c worked well and so did the wifi. Good value for the money. The manager, Esther, was very professional and made our stay most enjoyable. I would not hesitate to recommend either Esther or the cottages to friends or anyone else for that matter. Larry H. Very nice trip beautiful weather great people very friendly, get a chance to visit catch a water taxi to stalking island take a walk have some cocktails. Definitely visit Lumina resort. A short walk to town. Great prices on liquor bring your own food if you can very expensive. Over all AWESOME experience here in Exuma. The most beautiful waters you will EVER experience. Very happy people here

This was our second visit to Minn's. We went with my parents at Christmas time and enjoyed it so much we came back in Mid February. The pictures are very accurate. The cottages are clean and well equipped. The grill is a propane BBQ, so it is easy to use. You can also use the laundry facilities which means you don't have to bring a lot of clothes. In fact, we brought down a lot of our own supplies including coffee, tea, and frozen meat. You cannot bring in any fresh fruit or veggies. They will also do some advance shopping for you so that you have the basics when you arrive -- it is a really good idea if you arrive on a Sunday or holiday as the market is closed. Location is ideal. First, you have the great view of the harbour from your screened porch area. There is a very nice beach with firm sand right across the street. Second, it is a 5 to 10 minute walk in to town or over to the Fish Fry. This gives access to groceries and supplies and restaurants so you don't need a car. Instead, we rented a boat for a few days from Minn's boat rentals (related, but not he same owner) and we were able to explore the harbour area where we found several beautiful beaches that we had all to ourselves. Esther an Travis are also very helpful and checked in on a regular basis to ensure everything was okay. If you are looking for a central location with access to water and amenities, Minn's is a good choice.
