there was a miscommunication between the manager and the person at the desk. the dispute was resolved. the manager was exceptionally helpful. I WOULD recommend this hotel and I will reserve a room there when I am in LA
manger very helpful in a difficult situation beyond his control

Manager was very pleasant. The location is good to places I needed to visit. Freeway convenient.
The room had many cobwebs. The floors had obviously not been swept around the edges. The bedspreads had obvious stains on it. The shower was loaded with mold. White towels l think were clean, but could not be sure because of MANY stains. I did not feel secure in the room so I asked them to put a lock on the windows, which they did. I asked the clerk why there was no hot water so he told me to let it run 2 or 3 minutes and it would get hot. It did.

Everything was great

The location cant be beat, Los Feliz the most underrated part of LA and this street has the best bars The Roost, The Bigfoot and Tam O'Shanter. The new Morrison has a scottish theme like the Tam and loved the food! If you like whisky, its a must!
But I felt at home at this motel, the staff occasionally rang to see if I needed anything, and its great to park right outside. The heater was perfect during the rainy/snow week. Great little microwave and big fridge made it an ideal choice. Got a cool 50s feel but updated enough to enjoy. Easy access to Hollywood too. I cant wait to return.
The TV could use updating to smart but was big and good when I did watch tv.

Very good experience, stayed there for 5 days, clean, w/ all the amenities needed, very nice and helpful staff, great area with cafes, bakeries, restaurants all in walking distance. I would definitely come again.

I liked how close it was to the freeway. Other than that it's a pretty dated hotel.
It was okay. I got athlete's foot from the shower.

Eddie Alvarez, the on-site person, was wonderful.
The bed had been recently used and was stained from the bedspread all the way through to the mattress pad. UGH!!

Just a nice place to stay - Non corporate and harks back to America’s golden days.no frills for sure, but everything you need with a warm welcome.

Cute little hotel.
I was in town to see an act at a night club. I chose the closest hotel to the night club thinking of saving $$$ on the cab fare.
Apparently they do not have cabs in L.A. as I was unable to get one. I drove to the club, which I did not want to do. Partly because the hotel has over a dozen rooms but only four parking spots and I had one of them. Thankfully enough, the space was vacant when I returned.
If you are not trained in the Uber/Lyft thing you might have trouble parking your rental car.

The location was good.
The room was filthy. Especially the bed. There was hair on the sheets and many different types of hair on the blanket, along with cigarette burns. Unacceptable for me. The staff was nice about it though, and gave me a refund.

It was really close to a lot of food options and gas station.
it was dusty, I had bad allergies as soon as a sat in the room. under the sheets there was some debris/dirt.

The price is alright for what you pay
Rooms are pretty noisy and could easily hear people talking on the street. I know its near a busy street and close to the 5 but feels like there is not soundproofing at all.

The person in the room next to mine started BLASTING music at 1am, which lasted over an hour. You never know if it is safe to confront a stranger, so I tried calling the room and the office, as well as banging on the wall, with no response. I was never able to get back to sleep from the experience. I learned the next day that the person staying in the room was a staff member for the motel that lives there, and couldn't believe that he was so inconsiderate to guests.

Strategic location, no issues. Beds were comfy and clean.
The infrastructure is old, so don't expect a fancy hotel, you get for what you paid. Perfect if you are in town for one night.

I love how the hotel was located near the MTA Buses so I can go to local places without a car.
I can't say that I didn't like anything.

it smelled really bad like cigarettes and pets. The washrooms also smell bad and the towels are dirty. The ground and the beds were also dirty, it looked like it wasn’t cleaned. There was a lot of noise from the highway and the ac was so loud. The staff was sketchy and so was the area. The wifi barely worked and there were mosquitos and flies everywhere. At night the blinds did not block any light out and we could hear everything outside.

convenient to areas we went to
bad customer service. I asked for an extra towel. he made it look as if we were inmates not customers! they need to be nicer to the patrons! I paid over $500 to stay at the hotel.

The receptionist/ guy in charge has about as much customer service knowledge as Squidward tentacles from SpongeBob has in a single strand of hair. Also the guy is hardly ever there, and he didn't even know they offered booking . com had to call up somebody else to confirm they had such a thing, and that we had booked a room, he turned us down a couple times saying no such online booking service was offered had we not insisted he'd have had us leave (after he finally showed up after running across the street from the gas station once he noticed we had wandered into his office looking for him that is) But beyond that the rooms look nice, the sheets are washed, everything is organized, the room smells like stale cigarettes, the shower has mold, and leaks, and there were hairs from the last person in the shower and the sink, and personal belongings from the last person still in the drawer, but all of those things are understandable, it's a small place, and for the price, that's understandable, but what comes next makes everything bad I had to say pale in comparison... sit down and take a deep breath first, ready?.... THERES BED BUGS we took pictures and video of the freaking bed bugs walking around nonchalantly all over the bed we spent one night on the floor but it hurt too much and we still got some bites, so we tried the second bed and we all squeezed together on it as we had only seen bedbugs on the other bed, but no, we woke up with our entire body covered in bites oh but before that the same and last night, the maintenance guy and the customer service PHD came to my room to ask if we were planning on extending our stay (hah!!) but nit before the nosy maintenance guy stuck his face into my room to make a rude comment to the effect of "my goodness what a mess!

The location was great. Plenty of restaurants nearby and shopping mall close by. So convenient to Hollywood and Dodger Stadium.
Didn't like the carpet in the room. I had to empty the tray under freezer myself because water kept dripping on my items in the fridge.

cheap
not clean, furniture quality was poor

The property was close to the bus we needed. The room was a good size.
Having somewhere to sit outside without having rubbish bins right there, and cigarette buts!
