We were not aware the rental was a multi-residence house but it was fine. The location to the beach was great. Unfortunately we only had a couple of good weather days to go to the beach.

We had two couples that visited the property. It was located close to the beach and was very easy to get to the beach. The house was very clean and nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back!!! Wendy was awesome to work with!!!!!!!!

Location, location, location! Away from the beach traffic and chaos-but close enough to enjoy it. Huge first level home-beautifully decorated. Love the use of the outdoor space. Easy walk to the beach- it was everything I could ask for. It felt like a seperate home - I would recommend the property to anyone looking for that “OBX” feeling in VB. Thanks so much- Laura

The location and size of the property were exactly what we were looking for. If anything the beach was closer than expected, and was not very busy. The outdoor shower was great, and overall we were very happy with the stay.

Overall very happy with the location property. The space is charming and beautifully decorated. There was enough space for our family to gather for family time and spread out when we needed to. It's a quick walk to the beach that is easy enough to carry a beach chair and umbrella without issue-but the owners supplied a beach wagon for days when we needed to carry more things (cooler, toys, extra chairs, etc). It was convenient that it was close to the more touristy parts of Virginia Beach while being secluded and quiet at the same time.

My husband and I sent our daughter and family to Alaska as a Christmas present. They had an RV but I thought a night in a house would be a nice break. They raved about the views, and the beautiful details of the property. I think we’re going back next year and will be sure to book here!

The beach house was perfect for our extended family group. Location is close to all we wanted take do at state park and beach as welll as close to town. Wendy is super nice and available to answer any questions. Thanks !

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The hosts live above the rental. They were responsive, and when we saw them, they were kind and helpful. The location of the rental is great. It's in the residential area of VA Beach, so the beach itself isn't crowded, and the boardwalk is just a short drive away. The walk to the sand is very short, but the beach itself is very long--so walking to the water itself is a workout! The water was still pretty cold in early June, but our kids didn't mind (just the adults did!). The house itself accommodated our family (2 adults, 3 kids) well. It has an outdoor shower, 3 bedrooms, a family room, a large dining area, a big laundry room, and a small (but modern) kitchen. The kitchen only has the bare basics, and some of the finishings and furniture were in need of repair. For example, a lot of the blinds on the windows didn't close all the way, the pillows were very old and flat, the bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable (I'm not sure if it sagged in the middle?), and the bunk bed was very rickety. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and gave us easy access to the reason for our visit--the beach!

Our overall stay was good. The cottage is very cleaned and well maintained. The place is located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. It is very close to the beach, which is quiet and not visited by too many people. It was great! Be aware that this is not a separate home, it is part of a house, and the owners live upstairs. They were very quiet, and we could not hear them. So, this was a plus. However, the posting on VRBO does not make that clear. We only learned that the cottage wasn't a separate entity when we spoke to the owner on the phone before getting there. The beds weren't comfortable to us. The jacuzzi tub was not functional.

This location was away from the crowded boardwalk. It was easy access to the beach, biking path and the state park. There was plenty of room for our group of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids).

We enjoyed the place and had a great vacation there.

Cottage is the bottom floor of the host's family home and on the coast side of Atlantic, so a great location for a beach vacation. Home was well stocked with most creature comforts. We stayed for a month, so needed a base for remote work and found WiFi was unreliable and overall too slow for most streaming requirements. This included zoom meetings, streaming video or even the TV, which relied on WiFi. Hosts were responsive to our repeated txts on the issue, but it never got reliably better during our stay. So, definitely come with a backup mobile hotspot (not Sprint!) and don't plan on evening TV time.

We had a wonderful time with family celebrating a birthday! Bedrooms need dressers. One couch needs update, getting very mushy. Location is fantastic!

We arrived late in the evening. There were no sheets on the beds, nor were there any towels. The children's beds had blood stains. The next morning, I called the manager, and clean sheets and towels were brought over. Washing machine didn't work. Managers replaced it, but still didn't function properly. We left a day early, and I asked for a refund for the day, and manager did not respond. I would not stay here again.

Great location on corner of main road and short street dead ending into beach access, we thought traffic noise might be a problem, but the house was surprisingly quiet inside, must be nicely insulated and we couldn't really hear it. I juggled my soccer ball in the driveway in the mornings and was never much traffic noise even outside. We were welcomed with fresh vegetables from the garden on the premises. We occupied the first floor of a three story home. The owners occupied the rest. Interacted mostly with Jamie and he was really nice - offered extra beach equipment from his personal supply. All the rooms were plenty spacious and the master bath with the jacuzzi had an extra separate shower. There was a little morning dog barking that woke my wife up (we're light sleepers - I was already awake) but not enough to keep us from returning on another trip to VB. Kitchen was setup with everything we needed to cook for ourselves when we didn't feel like going out. Far enough from the main boardwalk to have plenty of room on the beach even during the weekend, but close enough to drive there in minutes to get to restaurants and attractions - highly recommend.

Great company and location

Our rental was adequate for the price for a couple of days. I would have liked to know in the description of the rental as a apartment style rental with the owners living upstairs before renting. I would have been disappointed if we rented for a week. And the bed has wheels on a wood floor, so you roll around every time you move. That being said, they were very accommodating and didn’t really bother us.

The cottage was very nice and spacious, the walk to the beach was short, the beach was remarkably uncrowded. We appreciated the location away from the crowded downtown area, but just a short drive to restaurants and shops.

This is a great little spot to spend a week at the beach. Beach access is super close and honestly super quiet. The homeowners are great.

The property was very clean and a good size for our family of four. The owner and family were very nice and everything was ready when we arrived. It was a quick walk down the street to the beach. We didn't want all the noise and traffic of the downtown area but it is only a five minute drive if you want to go out to eat or shop. Best of both worlds!

The location was great for beach access and access to First landing State Park which is fabulous.

My family of four had a comfortable and enjoyable vacation at this location. The street was quiet and safe. The location was great for beach access. The beach front was clean and expansive enough to spread out and have some space to enjoy. The house is modestly furnished but very clean and comfortable. I felt there were the appropriate amenities for light cooking and clean up. Wifi and cable worked well which was important to our teenage boys. The Jones' were very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed. They were available for any questions we had. I would highly recommend this location for a relaxing family beach vacation.

The location was great - away from the hotels/motels with a short distance to the uncrowded beach. Three days just wasn't quite enough. The only suggestion I would have is in the kitchen. The new appliances were good but it needs some sharp knives and at least a skillet or let renters know to bring their own.
