We really enjoyed the stay everything was like I was told. The water at the swimming pool it was extremely hot. Like Hot tub.

My mothers side of the family decide for the first time to take an out of state family vacation. It was literally steps away from the beach and shopping. Part of the family rented golf carts and drove approved parts of the islands without complaint. My mother and husband had such a great time they are headed back soon. My husband and I are runners. We ran the beach and the town, both were exceptional. We were in close proximity to the grocery store. Because it’s the island I suggest you stop before you drive across the bridge but still super convenient. Of course the negative - At 3:00 pm in the middle of summer the pool was pretty warm, but excellent for early morning and late night swims. We did have one repair mishap, but the property was attentive and accommodating. Which was beyond my expectation. I’d be happy to explain it to you! But I feel you’ll be happy without reaching out in the event you experience a problem.

The property could use some love but is livable, the dishwasher did not work when we got there but was replaced, ice maker does not work and needs to be fix, ether wise everything was fine

The place was great and very convenient to the beach. It is beginning to show some wear not noticeable in the pictures. The toilets were not working probably, had to call maintenance within hours of arriving. The smoke alarm in one of the bedrooms kept going off, had to call maintenance the second day. Regardless, it was great and very convenient for our milestone birthday celebration.

This was our first family vacation with our children as adults with significant others and our first time on the island and this house was exactly what we needed! Everyone had their own space, the pool was wonderful, location to the beach, grocery, gas and liquor stores was ideal! We would definitely stay here again!!

Overall experience was fantastic. With a few details to consider. We couldn't check in at 4pm due to maintance taking care of master bathroom sink issue. We didnt get to check in until 5pm. That was very fustrating. We didnt like the bunk bed room on the first floor while the rest of the rooms were on the second and third floor. So if you plan to put your kids in this room ,no that it is located as soon as you walk in to the left by the front door. Actually anyone can sleep in that room but if you plan to have kids in that room, I believe this to be helpful since all the other rooms will be on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The TV in the bunkbed room could have been located on a different wall. My kids couldnt watch TV. The other thing i didnt like were the stairs. The tile stairs were slippery when wet and hard to recognize each step because it is the same flooring as the rest main floor. The second floor has wood floors. There is no ice maker in the refrigerator, make sure you bring ice bags in the freezer. On the second floor, 1st bedroom on the right, the TV didnt work. Heated pool was nice. Presentation was beautiful. You could see the ocean from the master bathroom window. This house had a fully loaded kitchen-dishes, pots, pans ,coffee cups, regular cups,bowels kitchen utensils etc. The master bedroom was immaculate. Love the space of the house. Outside of the house not being ready on time the house was a pleasant surprise.

There were a few issues the ceiling fan in the 3 floor bedroom didn't work, the oven didnt work, the bed on the 2nd floor was leaning to one side couldn't sleep the day's that we were there and the propane in the bbq pit ran out of fuel in the middle on my cookout. The rest of the place had no more issues and the pool was great.

This place was spacious and quiet and loved that it was close to beach. Will for sure come back.

Big house, great location! Had some issues but response was good. For this price point we expected no issues. Seems like property needs more preparation.

This was an excellent property to stay for our family of eight adults and three children two and under. Love being so close to the beach. They do have a medium sized crock pot that isn't on the list which is nice. There is no pot holders which would be nice to have. Only two kitchen towels which we washed often. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. I was impressed with the amount of start up items available like toilet paper, shampoo, soaps, etc. Would stay here again. Even with the colder weather the pool was comfortable. Good experience working with SPI Rentals who was in charge of the management of the property. We couldn't get the ice maker to work however didn't call maintenance. Maintenance may want to check on this.

Plenty of room for our group of 10. The heated pool was excellent for the cooler October weather. Good location z.

This property was great, it had almost everything that we needed.The pool was great and it was a bonus that it was able to be heated.The only complaint that I have was that the bed in the master bedroom was quite uncomfortable, it dipped really bad in the middle and it creaked really loud. Other than that, our stay was great!

We all enjoyed the house! Plenty of room and cozy. The pool is awesome! And the proximity to the beach is great! Would definitely stay here again!

This rental property is just like the pictures on the website. Very spacious! The beds were very comfortable in every room. Great communication with SPI, they respond quickly, very friendly and helpful. Perfect location.

The house needs a little tlc but it served its purpose and was very comfortable. SPI was super helpful and very attentive to all our needs. Our family loved staying here.

Home provided all the accommodations our families were looking for in a vacation home. I would suggest strongly that the property manager relays to the owner to provide sun sails over the pool. Pool was over heating from the sun. Another recommendation would be to reset and seal pool tiles. Other than the pool the home itself was amazing 🤩

There were alot of great things about this property. Great access to the beach, pool was very warm ( a little to warm one day 99 degrees), ac worked, beds were pretty comfortable. Cons, we had to do a little of our own cleaning, the stairs into the pool need to be fixed, very sharp on the feet, the dinning room chairs need some felt on the bottom, very loud when moving. They need to have some essential in the kitchen, albumin foil, plastic wrap, garbage bags, plastic bags. When you are coming from another state, you cannot bring these things and its ridiculous to have to buy these things. Over all we had a great time and the little things didn't dampen our fun! SPI were great, when we had pool issues they were right on it, when we had flight issues they were very helpful with our late check-in. I will definitely use SPI again. Thanks The Utah Beach goers!

The house and pool were great for our family. We loved our week there.

Easy & fast check-in. My family & I had a wonderful weekend. Very relaxing, clean, quiet, & family friendly. We definitely book again.

Was not told during checkin that water was shut off due to maintenance. Checkin was at 4pm and water was not turned on until 11pm. Because of this, we had to use pool water to flush toilets and pool heater wasnt accessible until water was turned on. We also noticed the tvs on second level weren't connected. Tv in living room only worked once remote batteries were replaced. Toilet room on the third level is quite small. The baseboard corners were dusty and the stove vent wasnt the cleanest. The 5 year old cut his toe while getting out of the pool using the step stairs due to missing and loose pool tiles. Aside from all of that, this house fit our family perfectly. Once the pool heater got to running, it was amazing. Refrigerator kept our food cold and both stove and oven functioned well. No issues with the air conditioning. Thanks for the memories. We Would book this house again if the children chose it

Absolutely perfect accommodations for our island getaway. This was our second time staying there and we will do so again in the future.

Our family loved the spacious living spaces the property offered. Loved the pool and the close proximity to beach access. Jetted tub in primary bath and 3 balconies were a very nice touch. Super comfy beds and lots of bathrooms! Our week at Southern Comfort was exactly what our family hoped for in a beach getaway.

We had a great time on our stay at the Island. The place was big enough for the 8 people that we had over and the beach was just across the street very convenient.I really recommend this place, we had no issues at all. The only suggestion is to have some shade where the pool is, but other than that everything was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute place… great location! Easy walk to restaurant and shops. 3 minute walk to nice beach. Loved having a pool that was very clean! Master bedroom on 3rd floor was very roomy and nice. 3 other queen and king beds were good. Plenty of bathrooms. Only thing was bunk bed room was smaller than than it looked, but still adequate. Management company was very responsive for a few minor things that popped up.

I got to the place 2 hours early, they said property was not ready. I went to get groceries and came to the property about 15 mins earlier than the check in time. I called to see if I can get in since I had groceries and things that can melt, they still did not let me in, stating property was not ready, yet I am standing right in front and there was no cleaning crew or anything delaying my entry. Place was not very clean. There’s a difference between picking things up and actually cleaning. Place was not thoroughly clean, patios and balconies full of dust and leaves. Floors still felt sandy. There was an AC leak but it was addressed immediately. Fence on the side of the house was old and broken. Faucet in kitchen had no water pressure. Very small flow which made dishes hard to wash. Place could get a little more updated by fixing things up. Place was okay overall but will not stay there again.

We were a crew of 8 traveling together (5 adults and 3 kids) - this home provided all of the amenities and space that everyone needed! It is a stones throw from the beach (very easy 1/2 block walk). Very clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend to others!

This house was exactly as advertised. And the pool was heated as advertised. If we choose to come back to South Padre we will stay at the exact same house.

This is a nice place to stay. It was nice to be so close to the beach. Having a private pool was a plus of course. We took our own food since the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. We even cooked our breakfast outside. However, bring your own spices, butter, oils. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that would of made it complete would be to provide a broom and dust pan so you can sweep up the sand and dirt. It does need some minor TLC. We did have problems locking the 2nd floor sliding glass door. (for privacy, the sliding glass door going to the pool should have a shade of some sort.) Pool people should always knock on front door first before assuming it's ok just to walk in. For your own security keep the place locked up if you are not there.
