Lake Superior - Gorgeous views from waterfront home in Marquette
Les niveaux du lac sont élevés et il n'y a actuellement aucune plage. Maison à aire ouverte à quelques pas du lac Supérieur. Terrasse de niveau supérieur avec escalier menant à l'eau. Les deux chambres sont en bas du couloir et en face l'une de l'autre. Les deux chambres ont de grands placards. La chambre lit queen-size offre une vue sur le lac avec une porte coulissante en verre menant au patio supérieur. Le patio est immense et dispose d'une table et de chaises. L'autre chambre a une banquette-lit double et un lit double. Le salon et la salle à manger forment un grand espace. Il y a 2 canapés et une causeuse. 5 couchages seulement. La cuisine a cuisinière électrique, réfrigérateur, grille-pain, micro-ondes, cafetière, vaisselle, etc. et tout nouveau lave-vaisselle. Nouveau grill disponible sur le pont en été. Il y a une TV / DVD et des films. Câble de base (en été). IL N'Y A PAS DE WiFi mais peut parfois attraper mon signal. Il y a aussi de nombreux restaurants et cafés impressionnants avec wifi gratuit. Salle de lavage au sous-sol qui partage l'autre salle de bain. Il n'y a pas de baignoire à la maison - sauf si vous comptez le lac Supérieur! Deux douches au total. Le sous-sol est utilisé pour notre stockage. Nous n'avons PAS de kayaks. Je peux recommander une location locale.

En parlant de choses à faire, il y a un impressionnant système de sentiers de course / ski / VTT à Marquette connu sous le nom de Noquemenon. Il y a aussi un marathon de ski associé au Noquemenon qui est en janvier. Le North Country Trail, qui traverse tout le pays, se trouve également à proximité. De plus, il y a tellement de sentiers de motoneige ici que vous ne pouvez pas tout faire en un seul voyage. Les sentiers sont tous entretenus. Il y a aussi un domaine de ski alpin très amusant. En plus des sentiers boisés, il y a une piste cyclable pavée qui s'étend sur des kilomètres le long de la rive du lac. La piste cyclable est à 1/4 mile de notre location. Nous avons vraiment un excellent emplacement, c'est la meilleure partie de cette location. Nous sommes à environ 2 miles de la Northern Michigan University.

My son, his wife and kids enjoyed staying at this VRBO. Being right on the Lake Superior beach is so fun. We enjoyed spending time in beautiful Marquette.

The location can’t be beat! Right on Lake Superior, so close to downtown Marquette. But do note that neighbors are only a few feet away on both sides. This is in a very residential neighborhood, like you can see into neighboring houses, so if you’re looking for even a little bit of seclusion, this is not your place! But if you can get past that, it really is a gem, with everything you need for an amazing vaca! Incredible views of Mother Superior from the living area, kitchen and master bath, and heavenly breezes. Would stay again!

We fell in love with this beautiful home and property! Everything was very clean and well appointed. Nina and family are incredible hosts, and their communication was superb. We had a wonderful time staying here, and we are grateful for the experience. It was hard to leave for any reason but the location is close to so many things! Highly recommend this beautiful home, and we hope to visit again and again!

The home was perfect! Very clean and comfortable for our family to gather. All the extra amenities were available. We absolutely loved the view of Lake Superior. The sunsets were amazing. I highly recommend staying here.

This was our second time staying at this lovely home. We slept every night with the slider door open to the sounds of Lake Superior, and let me tell you, we’ve never slept better!
Presque Isle is within walking distance and the views from any point are magical. There is an artist’s collective at the end of the road where you can shop and meet the artists themselves.
The Ore Dock also sits at the end of the road. You can watch the big freighters come in for loading and hear the sound of the ore train throughout the day. Being from West Virginia, this place reminds me of my childhood and leaves my feeling energized in ways that words just can’t explain.
If you’re looking to relax and unwind, then this is the place for you.

This home greeted you with a wall of windows looking out over Lake Superior just below the spacious deck. The beach was only a few short steps off the deck where you could walk in either direction in the soft sand. Neighborhood residents were friendly as we walked along the beach. Beautifully decorated and spacious. Only two bedrooms but three beds.
Only downside was the entrance to the home with many steps. Would be difficult for persons who had trouble managing stairs. Also not wheelchair accessible.

We have family down the street, so kids loved being able to bike back and forth to see cousins!! We loved having access to the beach and being able to play in the waves of Lake Superior! Nina was always quick to respond, easy to reach, and accommodating. We will certainly be back!

This is our second time staying here. We love that it’s on the water for a beach day, relaxing dinner on the deck or a peaceful sunset. The house feels private and quiet yet close to town. I love that the NTN trailhead is an easy warmup ride from the front door. The basketball net out front was a hit for my boys too. This house was perfect for our vacation.

We love this rental and have been there 3 times now. Beautiful view and beach, walking access to presque isle, easy access to town and all surrounding attractions. Great host - very helpful and responsive.

The whole family made it for our daughter's graduation and this house was a perfect gathering spot for us. Close to town and also a lovely spot on the beach. Clean and comfortable and would love to stay here again!

We stayed two days and two nights here and had a great time. We had hoped to get a peak of the Northern Lights, but it wasn’t in the cards. We hiked at the near state park. We loved the downtown area. We spent a lot of time sitting inside and looking out towards the beautiful Lake Superior. Nina was very easy to communicate with.
The shower was the only down point as it had very low pressure but didn’t take away from us coming back to visit the area again soon.

This home met all our expectations. Our hosts were lovely and attentive to anything we might need. The home was well stocked with supplies and even had some spices for cooking. The location of the Lake could not be beaten. We will return in the future for sure!

We weee in town for a race so we didn’t spend much time in the house. However, nothing beat the sound of Lake Superior and that view! House met our needs and we would certainly stay again.

Great views and location but house needs work
Overall, I would not recommend this place at this price point given the amenities that were provided. The house has great views and is in a great location. Outside of that, the house in its current condition looks a little rundown and not well cared for. The house appeared to be in the middle of DYI remodel. The living room ceiling has a huge crack. The main floor shower has no water pressure and is dated. The laundry and hand soaps were watered down and almost empty. The 2nd bathroom is in the basement/garage and is old and cold. The master bedroom sheets felt like cardboard and all the linens smelled funky. The dishwasher was still full when we got there, and not sure if they were clean or dirty. The kitchen counters and stove were dirty and there were no extra trash bags. The text we received was “sorry I haven’t been able to do a final walk through”, all seemed inconsiderate (even though the owners live next door). The request to start the laundry before we left, even though we paid a cleaning fee was a little disappointing.
Typically not this critical, but been to enough of these to know the difference. Place would be better in the summer months where you can take advantage of the deck & beach. More consideration needs to be given to detail and making your guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Hopefully, future renters will have a better experience. The house has potential to be very nice.

Amazing Location
This property is the perfect get-away if you enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, a crystal clear lake, an enchanting evening fire on the beach, the sound of waves lulling you to sleep, and a spacious deck overlooking the greatest of the Great Lakes. It was an amazing experience.

Marquette hideaway
House and beach were perfect for our getaway! Quiet and private with a beautiful view. You can't get closer to the sand and waves anywhere. The house featured everything we needed and the owner was next door and offered to help us with anything. It was very relaxing and chill. Marquette is a great community and very welcoming as well. We'll be back sometime.

Location Location Location
The house itself, though somewhat dated, was very clean inside. But if you are traveling to Marquette I’m assuming your intent is not to hang out at a house. The perfection of this rental is the location itself! Right on the sandy beach of Lake Superior AND in the city of Marquette! Just steps away from Presque Isle, and the bike path along the lakeshore, it’s very convenient! The owners were very friendly and accessible if we needed anything or had questions. As always, we always wish we could stay longer when we visit Marquette.

Location, location, location AND what a view!!
The photos do not do this place justice!! It's in walking distance to Presque Isle Park right on a private sandy beach with beautiful views of middle bay out to Lake Superior. The home is well suited to guests.
Just one little thing to keep in mind, is that it could use a few more items in the kitchen, such as cutting boards, baking sheet, etc. However, the owners were more than helpful and made renting so easy. You can tell they take great pride in sharing this beautiful hidden gem. We cannot wait to come back!!

Get away from it all!
We had a wonderful stay in this property for four days for a ladies get away. right on the water and the waves were wonderful to hear all night. Kitchen was stocked well and bathroom towels were great. We enjoyed ourselves very much!

Another great stay at Nina's house on Middle Bay. I will repeat our previous review below since all is still applicable....
Absolutely perfect location in Marquette. Lakefront with private beach and great views from inside & out. Less than 1/2 mile from beautiful Presque Isle Park which is a great place to walk, run or ride a bike. Each day there are times when the park road is closed to motor vehicles making it even more peaceful & attractive. Only about 4 miles to downtown Marquette (& lots of good restaurants) either via the lakeshore bike trail or an easy drive. While this is an older home, it has had several upgrades (kitchen cabinets, countertops, etc.), and it is very comfortable. The owners live next door, and they are very outgoing & helpful. The neighborhood itself is very quiet (dead-end residential street). There is occasionally some noise from the nearby ore dock, but we didn't find it bothersome (& the tradeoff is walking down the street to watch the huge freighters come & go from the dock). Overall a great spot that combines the best of what the city of Marquette & the Big Lake have to offer!

Magical
What a wonderful place! Beautiful home with a large deck looking out at Lake Superior. We were on the beach in minutes. It's a nice quiet spot 10 minutes from downtown but really close to everything. It's a short walk to Presque Isle Park as well. We were spoiled with incredible weather for our entire stay but we cannot wait to return.

ALWAYS AWESOME!
This is our 4th or 5th time staying at Nina's lovely home. Perfect location, great for families or singles. Beautiful beach to walk on without crossing any roads. Low traffic dead-end street. Walk to Presque Isle Park. House is located 2 miles from downtown& Northern. Balcony w/grill provides amazing lake view for dinners. Very clean. It is always our 1st choice when visiting our kids in Marquette!

Beautiful view, but outdate house
The location and view were amazing and Nina was a very accommodating host. However, the house wasn't completely clean (didn't appear that the carpet had been vacuumed as we found bits of plastic in the carpet) and the facilities could use an update. For example, the towels were extremely hard and scratchy as if they had been used for many years. Additionally, the gas grill was very rusty and the porch was covered in spiderwebs. Don't regret the stay, but wasn't able to be as comfortable was I would have liked because of the state of the facility. If I'm honest, I probably wouldn't stay again, but it has a TON of potential if it got freshened up supplies (i.e. fresh towels) and a deep cleaning.

Pandemic Vaca
We were headed to Marquette for my son's NMU graduation which was sadly canceled due to quarantine in these crazy times. Obviously, we could not go. We have stayed at Nina's property many times and love everything about it. She quickly issued a full refund the day I contacted her (which took HomeAway 3 weeks to process after she initiated). We cannot wait to go back during a safer time.

Great Location
Home is very clean. Location is great! Ceiling and floor in living room need repair. No WiFi was an issue for streaming movies on our devices. Notes said to start a load of laundry and that there was extra toilet paper but we couldn’t find either anywhere. Overall it was a nice place though
