Everything was great! Love it
The wifi didn’t work in the rooms

Cocolia felt like arriving to a cocoon of calmness! Everything was exceptional! The bed was so
comfortable, the sound of the ocean made you feel like you were immersed in it! The staff was very attentive and the food delicious! Be aware that this hotel is very secluded, walking to town would be 20mins off-road. Not a hassle if you are prepared, rather nice to have the feeling of being one with nature.

service and location and rooms are great!!!
no complaints : but be aware you need a taxi to go to the center … no problem just you know

Beautiful apartment in a very calm and clean environment in the hills of Mazunte
The host was extremely caring and even helped me to organize a doctor coming to the hotel
Nothing

Amazing architecture. Very clever detailing and use of materials. Super nice manager who went above and beyond to be helpful and fun to chat with.
The walk into town was VERY far and made it hard to relax at times. The website wasn’t very transparent about the walking distance to town. We timed it, it takes 25-30 mins to walk at a normal speed.

Food was very tasty.
Isidro, the host, was super kind and friendly.

The rooms are spectacular! Great view and definitely a unique experience.
The facility is somewhere between luxury and ‘natural’ It has the luxury hotel price but the facilities are rather mediocre. Breakfast is really poor. Considering it is at such a remote location and costs a hefty sum, they should find a way to provide more value to the price.

It was simply wonderful !

The resort itself was very unique and a great place to just turn off as it’s far away from the town. The pool area was cool and the rooms were lovely.
The location is hard to get to amd some taxis will not venture up the savage dirt road. Ideally a truck or a jeep would be best. But it is really bumpy.

Hearing the waves crash in the beach at night. the bed was comfortable and the pool was nice.
The service was VERY slow and the food was inconsistent. The manager was surprisingly unhelpful for someone working in hospitality. I’ve spent a lot of time in Mexico and this was the worst service I’ve experienced by far. the property, while beautiful, is considerably overpriced for what it is particularly given the poor service.

My wife and I had a great stay at the Cocolia! We arrived late and night just before the restaurant was closing, but appreciated how attentive the staff was to us!
The property and rooms are really beautiful. You could hear the waves crashing on the beach below, and sleeping in a mosquito net (which worked really well) was pretty novel. Loved showering outside too!
Staff was great. In particular, the manager of the hotel even came to pick me and my wife up in town on NYE after we couldn't find a cab back :)

the location is very isolated and complexe to access. the place is not charming and very far from the photo
i didn’t like thé place at all it was bad vibe, isolated and not similar go thé photo . don’t go without a car or a scooter

Everything you need fit in to an architectually and aesthatically well designed room. Or rather a small hut, which each stands by itself with a lot of privacy. Wooden sliding doors give you access to a small terrace and a view on the ocean even from the shower and your bed. The staff, espacially the manager, was exceptionally friendly and helpful with any questions.
Despite the friendly staff and the good food, the service sometimes could have been faster. But that‘s really nitpicking just because there is also a field about „what we didn‘t like“ :)

Amazing view from the room. The room was very clean and the staffs were nice. Although slightly hard to get to, but totally worth the trip. Super underrated hotel.
A bit overpriced…

It’s a great place to connect with the nature.
the distance from the hotel to the beach it’s not a matter however it’s not close from the beach.

amazing property, spacious, private. Excellent experience if you need a detoxification from all!
Internet is not good. Yes, you will be in the middle of the jungle. Food can improve: gluten free, vegan and sugar free options can be added to the menu

The location of the hotel is unique. Being in the middle of the jungle was an adventure. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly.
If you're scared of insects skip it. We had two scorpions and several spiders in our room. Since the rooms don't have A/C the nights tend to be very hot.

the view is beautiful
There is no AC and it was so hot during the night we couldn’t sleep. the ventiloator is so loudly. there is no internet, the strict minimum in the room. paying that expensive for a night !? never again … would rather go somewhere else for that price …

There is no better view than this one, the sound of the nature and waves all day long is extremely relaxing. The place is quiet, clean, confortable and the staff super kind and helpful. There are insects, but they help you to manage it properly; the nets on the bed isolate you perfectly. The pool is warm and confortable with great view. The view on the restaurant is unique.
The place is ecologic.. The ground between buildings is not paved, it is full of insects, it is 1 km far from town and all atractions, up in the hill with a very bad condition of road. If you accept all this, the place is awesome and gives you a great experience. We rented a quad bike, and this made us to love the experience even more. I will definitely recomend this place and I would come back

Peace and quiet everywhere. Staff was amazing. Opening windows to nature and hearing the waves crash was something else.
Way too many bugs to handle.

Nothing, I didnt stayed
They marked in the system as I was staying at the hotel when in fact I did not stay.
3 days before staying I was diagnosed with covid and I could not take the flight to Mazunte due to the requirements of the airline.
I spoke with them to see the possibility of canceling the hotel or at least leaving the ticket open for a future stay. Neither option was accepted. They told me that I could use the ticket during the following week when due to covid I was not going to be able to travel for 14 days, and I live in Brazil, it is not an option for me to travel to Mexico so often.
They ended up charging me for the total stay, even when days before because of how excited I was, I decided to pay them an additional fee to upgrade the room. They didn't even give me the upgrade back.
I really did not feel cared for in any way by the hotel, nor by the staff, even when the ticket was taken to the manager and the customer service at Booking.com. It has been the worst customer support experience I have ever had as a traveler.
You can check my profile, I have used booking over 100 times at this point, and I have never had to deal with this situation.

The view from the room was very nice and staff was very attentive.
Lots of bugs in the room, pool kind of dirty. We heard lots of noises coming from the other “rooms” (small houses) during the night but that really depends on the guests! Breakfast was a bit too simple.

We went at the end of May and stayed 2 nights. This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The views from our room were breathtaking and the outdoor shower was truly amazing. It’s very peaceful and secluded. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was extremely accommodating (especially for our lack of Spanish).
My only complaint would be to add locks on the sliding doors. As city folks, we felt a bit exposed not being able to properly secure the back doors at night. The flora and fauna is REAL!

The breaksfast is a traditional Mexican one, great taste and presentation. The staff is well trained and always willing to help. The place itself is just breathtaking, well-designed and with a mix of modern and local mexican arquitecture. As soon as you arive you feel in the middle of the jungle but with all confort. The see view from our room was astonishing, we never closed the sliding wooden doors to enjoy and appreciate the sea view. It's the perfect place to relax and forget about rush.
All was great, no complaints at all.

Great views, awesome rooms and great food.
Service was not available at the pool and had to always ask for someone to order.
Just 3 beer options and one day they ran out of beer and ice.
