The food was great, the staff very helpful and supported us with a late check out and arranging an early morning tour of the Taj Maj and Red Fort. A sanctuary in a very busy city.

There was a strange smell in the room when we arrived- most likely plumbing.

I stayed two nights. The rooms and the overall aesthetics here are very nice. Had all the amenities I needed, I lost my wallet, so had no physical charge cards. Management was willing to send me a link where I could pay for the room online. This provided some needed headache relief. Thankful. Although my window overlooked a fairly busy street, there wasn't much noise to be heard under normal circumstances. Unfortunately normal circumstance did not prevail during the evenings. Amplified groups of people passed by and/or parked themselves nearby *in the street*, playing music as loud as possible, and 'singing'. This rather detracted from my experience here. There also is some sort of rave place a few buildings away, but whatever went on there was overwhelmed by the street celebrations. Not anything the hotel can do about this, but I would not want to experience this again. Breakfast not included, but they did offer it free, perhaps after I initially mentioned how much I was looking forward to a quiet night. Practical info: There is no sign outside the gate. Look for a large B75. Really, they should change the name to B75 hotel.

Overall this was a high value place to stay. Our family used 3 rooms and all were very nice. They were a nice size and modern. The rooms are well decorated as are the common areas. This is a newer boutique-style hotel, with perhaps 12 rooms. The owners opened in 2019, right before Covid-19. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.

The rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors, above the ground floor (floors 2 and 3 if you in the US). There is no elevator. The hotel tries to overcome this by having the staff carry all bags to your room. There is no tipping during the stay. At they end of your stay you can put whatever you feel like is an appropriate tip in a jar they have at the front desk. To me that means they are trying to deal with the lack of an elevator issue. The stairs is not a deciding factor for most people, but for those people who don't do well with stairs they may prefer another location. There is a very nice common area between the 2nd floor rooms however it was not cooled when I was there which, in Agra, makes the space non-functional. They can correct that. One of the 3 rooms we used was interior, meaning no window. So if that is a problem for you, specify a room with a window.

We recently stayed with the amazing team at Ekka Villa for one night with a very early check in and an extremely late check out with full use of our room until our 8.13pm overnight train to Varanasi. Local regional food was served with pride and many hours were spent discussing the cultural richness, traditions and complexities of India past, present and future. Would highly recommend Ekaa Villa as the ideal home away from home when exploring the awe inspiring Taj Mahal and sites of Agra.

Next time we would ask for a quote for getting our laundry done through the hotel prior to proceeding however hotel staff put a rush on this due to our 1 night stay which probably added to the cost.

This hidden gem is your perfect homebase when visiting Agra. First of all, it is close to the main attraction the Taj Mahal. The front desk can book you a tour with driver and guide, even for sunrise visits the next morning. They have a lot more tours and excursions to offer if you have the time. Beds are very comfy and their kitchen offers some of the best food in town. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner there, and we enjoyed all of them. Try their homestyle thali and you won’t be disappointed. Special thanks to Sahil of the front desk for his excellent communication on whatsapp and to the cheerful chef and kitchen staff.

We arrived by train at Agra Cantt and booked a taxi, but the driver wasn’t able to find the hotel on his own, even after we showed the address and directions. Maybe a road sign would help find the property faster.

Everything was perfect! We had an absolute lovely stay at Ekaa. The calmness when you enter the house was very welcome after a long journey, morning visit to the nearby Taj Mahal, or stroll around the city. Beautifully decorated room as well, and the diner was amazing! Go for it!

We had the best experience at this hotel. Received a room upgrade and late check-out. Staff was so kind and helped us with everything. The food also was amazing. Thanks Sahil and everybody else for this great experience. Would very much recommand to stay here :-)

Ekaa Villa was a fantastic place to stay in Agra. Great value for money, the room and bed were super comfortable and the hotel is tastefully furnished with hand picked decor and special touches. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, in particular Sahil, who was in contact via WhatsApp organising pick ups, etc and provided some great suggestions for the next stop on our trip - Jaipur. Ekaa provided very helpful pre trip information after we had booked and we used them to organise a transfer from Agra to Jaipur and then on to Delhi. This came through at a very reasonable price and the driver was excellent. After a long day of travel and sightseeing we had the dinner special in the restaurant downstairs which was delicious and provided a taste of several local specialities. Would definitely recommend Ekaa to anyone looking for a place to stay in Agra!

Great boutique hotel! The building, common areas and rooms are so beautifully decorated! The shower/toilet works perfectly and everything is very well arranged at the highest standards! Nice staff as well. The location is perfect. Really recommended.

Maybe they should try to lower down food prices cause I found them not competitive at all, we had dinner, breakfast and lunch in 3 different places in Agra, all very good, at 1/3 of the cost they proposed at Ekaa...

This hotel was excellent. I stayed in a few places in India during my trip and this one was the best of them. The food is good, the rooms are very nice and the staff are helpful. I was happy to hang out downstairs in the restaurant for hours with a book. It's a 20min walk to the Taj Mahal East Gate (where you'll enter the site). I would absolutely stay here again if in Agra.

Le staff is extremely kind. Nice location in a quiet street. The room and hotel are very beautiful and clean. The restaurant is very good (but we felt a bit pressured to eat there, as they asked us many times if we wanted to eat there).

Ekaa Villa is the perfect quiet, calm sanctuary amid the hustle and bustle of Agra. We absolutely loved Ekaa's environmentally friendly ethos. The staff were incredibly helpful from start to finish. I arrived with incredibly itchy mosquito bites, and Ekaa staff quickly provided us with a home remedy and showed us where the nearest pharmacy was. A special shout out as well to Vasu, who kindly helped us haggle with a taxi driver when our English wasn't getting us very far. He went above and beyond to help us even after we'd left Ekaa. Thank you to all the staff! Ekaa is a must visit in Agra 😊

Nothing to improve

We slept so, so well at Ekka. Agra is overwhelming and this was a calm oasis away from the chaos. The staff were so kind, the food is wonderful as everyone says and it was ideal for a short stop in Agra. You can walk to the Taj from there too, about 30 minutes walk.

It was a little hard to find! A sign on the road would be helpful as we were driving up and down the street a bit to find it.
