The staff made the stay experience very pleasant. After a busy day visiting the tourist attractions, the pool provided a relaxing therapy.

Pleasant courteous reception staff. One particular reception person was very pleasant as we arrived to check in. She was smiling and was patient whilst I looked for my payment card. The following say, my daughter mentioned the discripency in the 2nd room and she was very pleasant again with informing the manger about it and gave a small packet as goodwill gesture. ( the packet was a small souvenir box that tourist buy at Taj Mahal shops) It was more of the gesture than the gift. I believe she is an asset staff member to the hotel. I wish I remembered her name.

No worries, Overall stay was good and we visited Taj Mahal which was the main purposeNo of visit. N9 possible cancellation due to the second room no longer needed. Second room was missing some essential items. We booked two rooms , 1 for my parents and 2nd for my parents. Double beds were plenty for 2 people in 1 room. My parents didn't travel to Agra with us due to illness. so we needed to cancel the room which wasn't allowed and I and my daughter ended up sleeping in 1 room at night. However when my daughter needed use the second room in the morning before checkout- since it was spare anyway, there were no hair dryer in the room , towels missing, no soaps in the bathroom. We could have got a cancellation in the first place the previous day! Well, what to say! :) :)

We had a very spacious and comfortable room, with a desk, sofa, refrigerator, kettle, water, coffee/tea. The pool area is also very nice and surprisingly refreshing when it was 44 outside! We had dinner on the first night and food was good, our waiter Vanay was also very attentive. There are nice restaurants within 10 minutes of the hotel but it is also very easy to get Uber around, because there is not much when you step out of the hotel. The front desk was also very helpful in organising a transfer to Dehli for us (thanks Simrita). Unfortunately I did not remember everyone's name but staff member at the door and security were always very kind and welcoming too!

Breakfast options were not the best versus other hotels, it is a big buffet with ordering options but lacking quality for a 5 star hotel. During breakfast we also found ourselves being asked 10 times the same questions by different staff member, leading to double ordering. I think that staff should probably be assigned to specific tables instead of a free for all. Also, we did feel pressure to comment on Trip Advisor by staff members at breakfast and by adding names of people we have not even dealt with, this interrupted while trying to enjoy breakfast. If staff member are being rewarded for being named in reviews, this is also very detrimental to the other great staff members we have dealt with but just did not remember their names (such as the front door people). I have visited other hotels in India and a lot are providing fans/air con to the staff outside (entry door and staff which need to be outside while we are in the pool), it was 45 degrees in Agra and I believe Hilton should take better care of the amazing staff they have working outside!

Food was so pathetic. We got for dinner buffet and the food has less options. Also some of the food was half cooked and smelly as well.

The location was good, the food that I ate in the restaurants was tasty and the price was ok, but you get what you pay for. After I gave feedback on the slow and unfriendly service at breakfast the food and beverage manager was quick to apologise and put things right, so hopefully there will be improvements in future.

This is certainly not a 5-star hotel, and I don’t really know why it got this rating. I booked because I read all the great reviews, so was quite disappointed in the dated look of the room, very old furniture and damp smell of the hotel. For one night visiting the Taj Mahal this is an ok hotel for the price you pay. But don’t be deceived by the 5-stars! Restaurant service is slow, the staff seem unmotivated, lots of wait staff standing around despite people waiting. I did appreciate the manager’s reception to feedback and I hope they act on it because this could be a great place if there was a different feel to it.

Food options were limited for this class of hotel. Virtually no option for people that do not want everything to be spicy. Mosquitoes were another issue. In the evening, there was treatment deployed whole we were at the swimming pool area. However, it only made it worse as the mosquitoes moved closer to the building and also managed to get inside since the doors (access to swimming pool) does not close tightly (and opening it basically meant they were all invited in). Staff was average. It also felt like an older hotel.

After a fire scare at the Radisson Agra hotel, we booked two rooms at the Double Tree. We were delighted to stay at the hotel given the friendliness of the staff and very comfortable rooms we got. An to our surprise, we had one of the best breakfasts in our travel to India. We would gladly return to his hotel

Front desk staff could be much more helpful. We even extended 2 more nights and expected better service but there were hiccups and false alarm that panic everyone and we had to give feedbacks.

Clean and spacious and counter and bar staff were great.

Breakfast did not run smoothly. Tables unset, coffee and tea not on demand. Coffee stand had not cups and saucers and coffee was cold.

Front door staff and a couple of the restaurant servers showed the kind of customer service you would expect . Others less so

Food is bland and tasteless. We were offered a ‘discounted’ 1400 INR (plus tax) per head for a woeful buffet dinner at North 27 restaurant Breakfast at 550 INR (plus taxes) slightly better. Next night struggled to sleep due to incessant loud music from corporate event. After complaining 3 times eventually duty manager acted. I’m sorry to say this hotel is not Hilton standard. Way overpriced for what’s on offer. Would suggest checking out competitors for better value and comfort

Everything about Double Tree by Hilton Agra was excellent. The staff at the breakfast buffet and dinner were extremely accomodating and helpful especially as we were travelling with my 80 year old Mum. We decided to eat breakfast lunch and dinner in the hotel as food was just perfect for us pure vegetarians.. Our room was kept tidy at all times by the house keeping staff.

Didn’t affect my rating and experience but a small suggestion to maybe offer guest the portable heater during checkin especially during winter season. We were told by house keeping that room had cooling only and very promptly provided as with a portable heater.

Rooms are big, and good looking

There was wedding happening in the hotel. And people were partying in corridor. Also in the room next to us some man was screaming every 2 minutes from 8 pm to 3 am in the morning, it was very scary and not possible to sleep. We called the reception many times, asking to deal with it. As well as complaint during check out. There was no help or excuses provided. Also we ordered room service, soup and ceasar salad. Food was tasteless. Just the worst I tried ever.

The building looks great when you arrive and you are welcomed with a nice cookie.

This is not a 5* hotel! When we arrived we were given a twin room. We pushed our beds together and soon realised that the room was filthy. Food under the beds, lots of dust and blood stains. We complained and the manager moved us to another room. We then went to the other room and that was also filthy. We then had to wait for the room to be cleaned. The hotel then had a wedding on. We chose this hotel as it was close to the Taj Mahal and we wanted to visit for sunrise. We were told that the music (very loud, sending vibrations through to the room) would end at 10pm. This did not happen. We requested ear plugs at 9pm and the hotel ignored this request. We rang reception 7 times between the hours of 9-11pm and finally we were moved to the other end of the hotel. This annoyed me more as why did they not do this at the beginning? Within 1 night we moved hotel rooms 3 times. Things got worse...we decided to attend the buffet lunch and we paid for this prior to visiting. I was expecting good quality food and plenty of variety as this is somehow rated as a 5* hotel. I have stayed at many 5* hotels around the world and this is by far the worst, I would rate this a 3* at best. We did eat some food at the buffet but it was very average, we could not eat the desserts as they were all stale. We were handed a feedback form before we left so we filled this in. Our response pointed out that it was average we scored the meal a 3/5 (a very generous score considering the poor food). The chef and the assistant manager then came to our table and start to question our feedback in a very aggressive manner. Firstly, this was very uncomfortable as many other guests then watched. I explained to the two members of staff that I thought the desserts were poor, the naan bread was undercooked and that food was cooked in excess which then made the dishes cold and soggy.

The exceptional hospitality of the staff overall but precisely Ajay Gupta, Esha (front desk), Sanchit and Jasleen. They would be an asset to any organization so this hotel is lucky to have them as staff. This was one of our best stays. Thanks folks, you made our stay in Agra worthwhile, keep up the good work, and we'll keep coming and recommending your premises to all our friends.

Loud (including construction noise at 8am, and a loud party downstairs), regularly amenities such as soap shampoo etc we’re not refilled in the room, I should not have to ask for this
