when i arrive in there .. the owner send me to another building . which is really bad . i need to walk 6-7 minutes to get there .. then he give me small room and no bathroom inside , so i need to pay more 50 pounds to moving to other room .. and the room is so messs .. pizza insite .. and dush everyhere .. and to noise ...

It's name isn't Amazon it is Anthena. It was dirty and smelt of dog There was a dog which kept barking and had been shut in a small room. It was expensive and I wouldn't go again. It is nothing like the pictures

Shower heads/hoses could be replaced as they are old and don't really work properly.

Cleanliness A*. Prompt and efficient reception. Comfy beds. Good variety for hot drinks in the room. Didn’t have a breakfast so can’t make comment there. Overall a pleasant stay. Only saw one member of staff but he was polite and helpful.

Location a little tricky and confusing. Booked at ‘Amazon Guest House’ but the sign says “Athena Guest House”…. If it wasn’t for the house number we’d never have found it. But… you can’t see the house number from the road. And you are on a main, busy road.

Good accommodation for that price.

I don’t like toilets and rooms structure. One of the worst I have ever been.

There were lots of windows in our room, even though none of them had been cleaned for a very long time and I had to wash my hands after I opened them, they all had matching curtains. The net were frayed at the edges, they didn't block much sunlight, but at least the curtains matched.

Although this is a cheap night stay. It really is just that. In this day, amoung a pandemic, I expect nothing less than good hygiene standards. This place had very poor hygiene standards, the floors were clean, the bedding was clean, but everything else just wasn't up to standard. We had the family room with en-suit. When we checked in we had to park the car at the next door neighbours house because there were no spaces left. Both the hotel driveway and the neighbours had a very off putting odour. When we went inside we could see into the kitchen from the reception, it was very cluttered with dirty cooking instruments. Our room was very cluttered with lots of unnecessary furniture, like a dining table. The bathroom was at a standard of a half decent public toilet. The windows and window sills had not been cleaned in years. We had 2 TV's a dvd player and 2 sky boxes. Not one of them worked. If they took them out it would at least remove the dirtiest remote controls I've ever seen. Our room also came equipt with a fridge, which like the TV's did not work. We had 3 bed side tables, all very sticky and dusty, each with a lamp. Only one lamp had an available plug socket. Which we still did not use as we needed the socket to charge our phones. There was a lot in this room considering most of it doesn't work or there is no need for it. The most disturbing part of the visit was finding a KFC wrapper covering the smoke alarm. If all of that wasn't enough to give you dysentery the water filter jug that came with the room was as old as my children with some large partials floating around just to confirm you should not consume anything while on site. During the early hours of the morning from about 5am, I could hear what sounded like a broken washing machine or tumble dry going around. It was still going when we left at 8:45am. The rest of my family told me to rate this 1 out of 10. However for the price I wasn't expecting anything fancy.
