The location of the property. Scenic and picturesque views
Very stuffy room condensation on the ceiling the room smell like a wet dog. With me and my daughter being asthmatic I had to change room. Which was done very quickly but no one should have been placed in the at room.
4.1
Checkin delays ; could have had more staff during peak periods; long wait for room even after check in; check in clerk courteous, but checkout person not so much

Our recent stay at the Hilton Jamaica, booked last minute through Booking.com, was an experience fraught with disappointment and frustration. We ended up paying significantly more than what was advertised, and upon arrival, were hit with unexpected additional charges. Traveling with four children (ages 16, 14, 10, and 7), this added stress was the last thing we needed, especially after a prior hotel booking fell through, forcing us to arrive at the Hilton late in the evening.
One of the most troubling aspects of this ordeal was the inaccuracy of Booking.com. The site did not provide an accurate feature to calculate the correct price for our family unit, leading to further confusion and additional costs upon arrival. This inaccuracy made the situation even more frustrating, as we were not properly informed of the total cost beforehand.
Despite the challenges of traveling with minors, we were not given the consideration or treatment that one would expect. We had to battle with staff, managers, and senior management to address basic issues, and our family was inconveniently split up into rooms on separate floors, on opposite sides of the hotel. The rooms themselves were noisy and failed to meet the standards expected from a Hilton property.
Having stayed at this Hilton nine years ago for a wedding, I was shocked by how much the quality had declined. The hotel feels dated, and there seems to be a lack of care and commitment to maintaining the Hilton brand. While the staff did their best, they were clearly overwhelmed and lacked the necessary resources to provide a satisfactory experience.
Our children, who remained resilient throughout the trip, were particularly disappointed, and they’ve already expressed that they wouldn’t want to return. As a seasoned traveler in my early fifties, this experience has left me with no confidence in either Hilton or Booking.com. What was once a reliable and enjoyable destination has unfortunately become a plac

The food was excellent!
Room was a little dated

We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the beach areas and swimming in the pools. The lazy river / water park pool was too busy and noisy during the day but we enjoyed swimming there in the evenings. Having easy access to drinks and food throughout the property was fabulous, particularly Mangoes, the Seaside Grill and the Coffee Shop. Our room was on the quiet side of the property, which we requested and had a beautiful golf course and ocean view - loved it! We had delicious food and excellent service at the Rum Factory as well!
Our room smelled mildewy every time we entered it, which was not ideal. Our sliding glass door to our balcony was damaged so that it took an amazing effort to open and close it each time. The front desk service was frustrating because there werent enough employees working most of the time. There were almost always long lines of folks waiting for help with various things. We had a debacle with room service on our last night in which they didn't bring our order for a long time, then only brought part of the order, and then brought the wrong thing. It was a mess! But - when we checked out the next morning, the front desk helped to resolve the problem, which we really appreciated!

Little expensive but it was really good. Same thing as it was 8yrs ago. Love it. Miss Daliha was the best in the buffet style dinning room. Food, staff , facility , and comfort was excellent.
A little too expensive but still good

Food choices were excellent - breakfast, lunch and dinner - something for everyone!
No complaints about the size of the room, very spacious and regularly cleaned.
There was not a tea/coffee maker in my room.

Food was good, entertainment good...staff was good their response was good to request. Pool was good, slide was excellent. There wasn't a adult pool for Adults only
Bathroom poor in that it needed to have a stand in shower with glass doors not a bathtub with shower curtain, room was smaller than expected. Quality of TV picture was poor.
4.1
I like the activities and my kids enjoyed the games room amenities. Love the games room. Wish it was like before though with more options.
The chairs on the balcony could have been a bit cleaner. It seems they were soiled.
4.1
Lazy river and slides were fun for kids and adults. Most of the employees were cordial. Room was thoroughly cleaned every day. Shows at night were entertaining. Location is great if you want to stay within the Montego Bay area and 15 min from the airport. The kids enjoyed the in-property sail and kayaks.
Hotel needs an overall upgrade. It is very outdated. Main dining area is hot, dark and smelly. Food was not the best even for a buffet. Air conditioner barely worked inside elevators. I informed one of the employees and he told me to go complain to the main desk otherwise nothing will be done about it. There was no garbage can in our room - main area, only in the bathroom. There was also no lamp on the desk and the room was too dark at night with just the lamps next to the beds. When I called the front desk to inform them of the missing items, they told me they didn't have them. However, they appeared in our room later on. Someone brought them while we were at the pool. There was no fan in the bathroom so while showering all the toiletries got soaked because of the humidity. The beach area is very small so you can't really walk on the beach. The cabana rental is $99 per day which seems excessive in my opinion. One of the restaurants required additional payment. While the amount was not outrageous, the food and ambiance were disappointing. Not worth the extra money.

The food is great
Staffs are professional and nice
The activities are fun and exciting!
The night club was a bit boring

The view was good; staff very friendly and welcoming.
Room had slight damage on cupboard doors.

The hotel is clean and had a wide range of food options.
The amenities are basic for such a brand as the "hilton". Lots of smaller hotels have better amenities for cheaper price. I thought I was going to get a "wow factor" but was disappointed. Additionally, the entertainment was poor throughout the day and was overall boring.

I loved the fact that we had a lot of activities to do, the staff at the front desk were professional and nice, the female staff did behave extremely helpful and professional, the rooms were awesome and clean. The food was awesome, through and through! The music was also great and the best part of our trip was seeing that The Hilton is the only hotel we've been to that support craft vendors, they were able to come and sell at the jerk section and then in the evening while the band was playing, wooooooow!!!! That is truly unique and I believe other hotels need to follow The Hilton’s lead. The slides are sweet! Jacuzzies work.
To the point, the male staff. Majority of the them are not professional. Eyeing down your guest(looking on a woman like you want to sex them), flirting with them is crazy sexual harrasment. You don't want that to be escalated. Especially those at the pool area by mangoes. I know they are flirting because I am Jamaican and I understand the dialect. The guest may not, but we do. Even with us, wherever we walked to these males would be staring my woman down and I clearly understood, ok, they are just not professional in this way. A few were, but majority of the male staff seems thirsty. That is not my experience at Jewels. No matter where you are on their property, their male staff is well behaved and exercises self control all the time.
The guys at hilton for the slide area should be moved. The one at the top slide is proud and disrespectful, I avoided the big slide due to him being present(delroy). Yes he's the one who fanned me off when talking to him. The guy at the second slide is a straight up flirt and he shouldn't ask guest to clear the tubes out of the lazy river, he should do it.
The carpets in the passage way to the rooms are all paced with dust and needs to be replaced with something that is not a dust trap. The smell bad and caused me to have three asthma attack while at the hotel. Please get rid of them. I think the dust from shoes mixed with the water that drips off of guest creates a mold smelling passage way. It smells cheesy and old. Even now my throat feels bad. Beach front should be cleaned up. A lot bamboo leaves line the property.
Staff at pool chairs shouldn't shout to tell you in front of other guests that you can't sit there. I think she could've walked up to us and communicate that or put reserve signs on seats that you don't want guests to be on.
The music selection on the intercom system is not good either compared to jewels Grand.

Friendly and Responsive Staff. Delicious Food with lots of options and variety. The Coffee Shop was Amazing! Excellent Desserts, coffee, and other treats! Comfortable Beds. Great Room with a view. Spacious room with lots of mirrors. Huge Property. Shout out to the Entertainment Crew who kept the vibes going, especially during Midday Madness! The Lazy River & Waterslides were so much FUN! Shout out to Colin at the Rum Bar restaurant who took excellent care of us! Highly recommended the Appleton Rum Punch and Hilton Delight (Adult) Beverages. Steel Pan performers were off the chart! Female Singer the night before was excellent too! Craft vendors on the Property have something for everyone.
My soon to be 13 yr old Son enjoyed the game room, lazy river and the beach. We all enjoyed the catamaran sail and kayaks! Room service Ackee & Saltfish Breakfast (Jamaica's National Dish) was DELICIOUS!
And the Suprise from Management & Staff in celebration of our Son's 13th Birthday! Great Warm and Welcoming Touch!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay- Family Vacation.
Low water pressure in the shower. We were on the 7th floor. Food, though very tasty, could have been a little hotter vs warm. Coffee was not hot...Only way to get a good cup of hot enough coffee was at the Coffee Shop. TV didn't work well. When fixed, not all channels were available. For the phone... mainly only able to call the front desk to be transferred to room service or other areas vs the ability to dial them directly. BUT... somewhat minor taking all things into consideration.

I loved every single thing about Hilton! Food was TOP TIER, CRÈME DE LA CRÈME, staff was extremely warm, responsive and welcoming, even the guests were so nice. This resort is a definite 100/10. The properly is sooo clean and beautiful. Entertainment was also a 10/10. I went to celebrate my daughter's 1st birthday and I will be returning! I do not usually visit the same hotel more than once but this resort has my heart 💜
Absolutely nothing!

The evening programs were fun such as the silent disco and the New Years Eve bash.
The food was mediocre at best and the portions were very small. The liquor was poor quality and there was no ability to purchase higher end brands. The resort was full and it was a challenge to get chairs at the beach or pool. There should be at least enough chairs for every guest without having to get up at 6 am to stake them out. The wifi was spotty and inconsistent. Overall, we were very disappointed with the resort.

Towel hut staff, buffet restaurant staff, coffee shop staff, cleaning ladies rum factory staff these people were amazing, they were the only good thing of this hotel.
Room advertised and paid extra to be ocean front, was restaurant wall front.
Front desk staff was awful, cero help, cero empathy, no help.whatsoever
Restaurant Reservations perosn seemed she didnt want to be there, no explanation we had to figure out on our own.
Asked front desk for a rollaway bed, she fake called and I had to call again and get it on my own.
We got removed from the beach because they got a bulldozer to clean the beach at 2 pm on christmas day and no other place to relocate.
Got a call from a supposed new person who hang up on me when I gave my low rating because of the sitiation.
Super dissapointed on what was supposed to be a christmas relaxing weekend and turn into a nightmare.
Never again will book there.
4.1
Relatively intimate, easy access to the various facilities.
The only complaint I have is regarding dietary labelling. It was inconsistent and therefore confusing. For some, this is potentially dangerous.
For example, the entire bakery section of Fresh you can assume would have products made of gluten. So I was very excited to see the cornbread had a gluten symbol on it, unlike everything else. This suggested to me that it was without gluten, because there was no frame of reference or key I could find.
Upon questioning the staff, I was informed that the symbol meant that it contained gluten. Just like all the UNlabelled items around it. This was confusing, and disappointing for someone like me who thought they'd found a gluten-free bakery alternative.
Please consider either labelling all gluten items with gluten labels, or JUST the gluten-free items with gluten free label. Nothing in between or inconsistent. I do not think the staff have enough knowledge on what the allergens are, and so I didn't know what information to rely on. (For example, I was told the plantain porridge contained no gluten, but upon further questioning I came to understand that a main ingredient was plain white flour. This should be extended to other main allergens too.
I also do not know why I am asked about allergens prior to entering the restaurants, it seems to impact nothing about the experience once inside.
