This hotel is very convenient to Manchester United FC stadium, just minutes drive. The room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfy. The staffs were very friendly.

Accessing to the room was inconvenient. I had to carried my heavy luggage and walked on the stairs to get inside the hotel.

Staff were incredibly accommodating, friendly and kind. The room was huge, very clean and the bed was super comfy.

Location and parking

The bed was uncomfortable due to being able to feel the springs in the mattress, not to mention the fact that it was two twin beds pushed together (not very well either). The shower head didn’t remain upright unless angled to the opening of the shower itself, thus making the floor incredibly wet and slippery. The TV didn’t work on terrestrial and overall, we can’t believe this room was deemed an “upgrade” upon checking in on Saturday afternoon.

The pancakes were absolutely amazing!

The only thing that I would say needs upgrading is the bedding. The pillows especially they were so thin when you laid on them and they had seen better days. They didn’t really support you while you slept.

We were on 1st floor and even with the windows closed, there’s so much noise from the traffic outside. The hotel also charges for parking :(

Our room was on the ground floor and had ants in the corners of the room, they went all over a can we left on the table and they wouldn’t swap our room. They just told us to leave and they used bug spray and sent us back in after a while.

Lovely room - free upgrade to a larger King room. Great price for drinks and food. Location was perfect for reason for visit.

Breakfast wasn't the best. Cold and limited options. Would have been better to run the normal menu which they offer.

Nice steak.

The facilities are old

The room was a great size and had everything you would expect or need whilst away for a few night. The location was great as it has a car park on site and a Tram stop just a 5 min walk.

I arrived at 9.20pm and was greeted by a very polite and professional staff member. The reception was welcoming and the bar had a few people in it at the time. The room was clean, the bed comfy and the bathroom functional. Breakfast was good and again the staff were very nice. Excellent value for money considering location too.

I loved the fact that I was upgraded to a larger room, which was very comfortable and spacious. My bed was very soft and comfortable to sleep in.

The breakfast was buffet style but some of the items were lukewarm and not very hot. I suppose that the items are on the hot plate, some items are hot but others can be very dry as a result.

The bathroom was very nice. Staff where very accommodating. Hotel was clean. The hotel and room has good decor.

No view from the room. No window to bring fresh air into the room. No window in the restaurant. Felt stuffy In and around the hotel. The room was small (214). No bath. Tv was small. The blackout curtains didn't fit well so it let the light in.

Staff very friendly. Breakfast was decent. Good atmosphere and very clean.

Heater was on in room all night couldn't see a way to turn it off so was very hot.

Staff very nice l, allowed us a slightly earlier check in as our flight was very early in the morning and we had nowhere to go so that was nice and location very good for what we needed.

Only fault we can think of was the radiator was on all the time and the room got very warm but overall a small issue.

The location is excellent, as tram station only a very short walk from the hotel, so we made good use of the tram system to get around the city. The property has a restaurant, albeit a rather small space, but the breakfast was very good and we were able to eat a two course meal there, the evening of our arrival. We both thought the food we ordered was very good and the staff were pleasant. The male receptionist on our arrival, was very helpful, in that he changed our room to a ground floor room, when he realised that I struggle on stairs, due to arthritis in my knees. I was very appreciative of this. The shower was very good. Plenty of plug sockets in the room.

We thought that the photos shown on Booking .com must have been taken some time ago, as the exterior of the hotel looks rather shabby compared to the photos. Also, a rather grand staircase is shown in the photos, but we didn’t even get to see this, as the main reception entrance is not now used, and you have to enter by steps down to a lower level of the hotel, where the reception desk now is, the bar and the restaurant. Although clean enough, the hotel felt more like ‘Travelodge’ accommodation to us. We were really quite disappointed and bemused, for several reasons, by whoever the maid was that supposedly attended to our room, for the two nights we stayed there. 1. He/she did not replace our wet towels that I had left on the shower base, as requested to do so, if you wanted fresh towels. We had to ask reception for some clean towels, when we returned to our room in the evening. 2. Although new milk pouches were left on the tea/coffee tray, our dirty cups were not replaced .... just left on the desk! Once again we mentioned this to reception. 3. There was no spare toilet roll in the bathroom on arrival first night and the half used roll that was there, was not replaced with a new one or an extra one left in the room .... hence we ran out of toilet paper before we checked out on the 2nd day! Luckily I had packs of tissues with me! 4. It was actually laughable how the maid, refreshed/made the bed. The duvet cover was just thrown back over the bed, untidily and was left hanging out one side of the end of the bed, with the pillows just thrown on top. I actually asked my husband, if he had made the bed like that before we left the room in the morning, as I couldn’t believe maid staff would ever make a bed like that. 5. The soap dispenser was more than half empty on our arrival and so we promptly ran out of soap, as well as toilet paper, before we checked out. 6.

Good location, good utilities and breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The shower was clean and the heating was great around the room.

The walls were thin so you could hear quite a lot through.

Room was described as a king suite but really just had two king size beds, nothing was “suite” like at all. Expensive for what it was. Had no bedside lamps which was annoying - either full ceiling lights on or nothing. Bathroom very small but clean.

The room we were in was relatively modern and was quite spacious. The hotel is in a good location for either Media City / Salford Quays or Old Trafford and the various retail outlets around there. The tram line is a relatively short walk. Room was good value for money. Staff were all very polite and pleasant.

They appear to be training Staff at the moment, service in the Restaurant was fairly shambolic - got my fries when I had finished my burger. Waitress had to keep being reminded of drinks that were ordered and they are pretty slack at applying residents discount but in fairness gave us some free drinks as compensation. Breakfast was incredibly complicated, manager explained we could help ourselves from any of the food out, then we were charge for having a cooked and continental (toast) breakfast! Manager sorted it out and again gave us a discount which was kind but it all seemed over-complicated! Room service was poor too, dirty mugs left in room, towels not fully replaced, bath mats instead of hand towels, again a lack of management or proper oversight. I am sure it will get better when everyone is trained.
