The room was charmingly old-fashioned, with a wonderful view, and was very comfortable. The staff, including the canine staff member, were friendly and helpful. Generally, I was very happy with what was provided.

The only way of washing and drying cups was in the handbasin, using the hand towel. Even a tea towel would have been an improvement. Granted it was peak season, but I paid far more for this place, exclusive of meals, than I had paid for a higher-market facility, inclusive of meals. For what was provided, it was an expensive single night.

The location was superb, right next to the lake. The room was just as expected, all I needed. Loved the outdoor area, very pretty. The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating.

I have nothing to complain about

Breakfast only available at weekends. Otherwise, we were happy with the location - room - warm bathroom and restaurant.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom needs replacing it's rather noisy. Portable fan heater does not work [seized] hot water tap over basin needs a new washer.

Maybe a low volt night light, as you can't leave the bathroom light on due to it being also connected to the fan

Breakfast was not nice had to ask for something else on the menu but the staff were fast and happy to accommodate us. The first room we were put in had a very strong chemical smell and even with the doors and windows open we couldn't get rid of it and it was causing us to have headaches and slight dizziness. The reception girl knew something cause she changed us straight away without asking us any questions. The pool said heated but was cool, the spa was Lukewarm. The lodge itself was nice, comfortable and perfect location. Cleanliness was OK but the shower head was broken and wouldn't stay up and the curtains on the lounge main area don't fully close, I had to use a peg to keep them close so the motel rooms next door couldn't see in. The room we were in you weren't allowed to eat in which they don't state on the site and I though was strange. Not enough adequate heating for thus time of the year, our young son had to sleep with us to stay warm. Heater qas a sml fan and is to small for the room.
