Aside from my many complaints about Sea Palace Hotel, the location is perfect. I think this is why this place still exists. It is perhaps the nicest place in Mumbai, and many locals told us it is in one of the most expensive parts of Mumbai. There are many nice cafes and restaurants around, and one can walk to the Taj Hotel and the Gateway of India.
Besides the kind server in the restaurant, the service here was horrible. Our flight arrived to Mumbai at 1am, which we had told the hotel before we arrived. They were unkind when we arrived, and grumbled when they had to unlock the gate for us. We had to wait around 10 minutes for the check in concierge to show up at the desk and check us in. Additionally, at one point we brought food from a take out down the street. The tables outside were empty, nobody was using them. They told us that we couldn't eat out meal there. I think this is unacceptable. Understandable if people were eating there, but there wasn't. I did not appreciate this. Finally, when we tried to leave on our last night, we had to catch a 6am train. The guard wouldn't open the gate for us to leave, even though we had already paid the night before. Apparently they have bad communication within their team and do not let each other know when guests have already paid for their stay. Because of this, we almost missed out Uber, which was waiting outside to bring us to the train station. I would not stay here again, even though the location is great.

The breakfast was good, usually with a western option. The room was a decent size but a little sparse. The aircon worked well and the hotel is close to everything. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the porters and doormen. the reception guy could however do with a little bit of charisma

Room size is extremely small - just enough to place 2 beds.
Though we asked for double bed we got 2 separate beds and which were not comfortable. The AC was too noisy. Bathroom hose wasn't working. Reception was very slow and in spite of completing all formalities and payment we were disturbed again for the same. Though location of the hotel is good its very badly maintained - not recommended.

The location is very good and the roof top bar is pretty good value for location, but the music is played way too loud
I stayed in a sea facing room which was very tired and claustrophobic. In general the hotel just feels like it needs some serious TLC.

The guys downstairs in the cafe & security. The staff are lovely 😍 & very friendly. You couldn't find fault with them.
It's getting pretty tierd & run down since out visit before covid.
New bed linen and furniture needed in the rooms. It's not what you'd expect.

Location, staff responsiveness to our complaints/ concerns & nice roof terrace,
We were very annoyed at the lack of preparation/ cleaning etc on our arrival. The management made an effort to address all our complaints and the place was properly cleaned the following day. We were also given complimentary late check out to compensate. Had the room been properly cleaned and prepared as it was in the 2nd day of our stay we would have rated this property with an 8/10.
We were not offered the room we had booked on arrival. we were offered various sub standard rooms (very poor standard, dirty, bad condition). after having refused all of them, we were offered the room we had booked.
On closer inspection we found the sheets & pillowcases had been slept in and there were hairs and traces of usage including body odour.
The room itself was not clean (not swept or mopped). The fridge was dirty with food residues, spilt juices, breakfast/eggs remains and hair on the shelves inside the fridge.
The bathroom was also dirty.
There was no filtered water and the kettle was not working.
The safe was not working either. It took us 2 hours of repeated calls to reception and supervising the cleaners to get the room actually cleaned.
We were very annoyed after a long haul flight to waste our whole afternoon with all this aggravation.

Loved the location and the food! We liked the server uncle who took care of us during breakfast. We never asked his name unfortunately but he was really nice
We stayed continuously for two weeks… Was rather expensive and I personally didn’t like one staff at the front desk. He was rather young, wore a shirt and tie everyday (hopefully he’s not the manager) because he sure has no sense of hospitality. He passed really condescending comments to his quiet colleague who just ignored him. He commented about my stay in Hindi thinking I don’t understand the language! It was rather funny to have encountered that because I understood every word and I was really happy with my stay because everything else was fine except a few things which I tried to point out. Like the sheets on the bed had questionable stains and oh my goodness asking for hot water in the shower was like asking for someone’s money!! I guess feedback is good when you take it! Not when you ridicule the feedback giver!

Because it in front see and rod is awesome and fresh air comes in the room and very easy to rech and erry spacious and near to Taj Mahal hotel and of course radio club see side shore wonderfull ..and most important I personally like that place ..would like to buy a flate ner by or as same building in future 🙂😍👌👌👍

The location
I booked the standard non-sea facing rooms. But the standard rooms are really small and claustrophobic. Even the lightning was very poor. I had to upgrade to sea facing room on reaching the property as I had no other option. HAD TO PAY EXTRA. I travel very often and I can say this is not a 3 star hotel and would suggest fellow travelers to avoid staying here. You will get much better options in the same area at the same or lowers rates.

The only good think about the hotel was the location
I think the hotel owner is taking too much leverage about the location and paying no attention to the visitors. The room that was given to us was smelly and dirty. The bed sheet was also not that clean either. No hot water in the washroom with taps not working properly. The coffee maker and mugs were also dirty. Overall extemely disappointed with our stay
