This is a very nice, affordable hotel. Nice rooms, several swimming pools, friendly staff. Central location in the city.
Street noise / music from the neighbours is rather disturbing, which is unfortunate because the hotel, pool area and courtyard are really inviting for a break between or after visits.
We had a hard time finding a table for breakfast; one staff member invited us to take a table in the so-called VIP area of the hotel and another one wanted to get rid of us there.

lovely authentic building , Netflix in rooms

nice old building. the common area and the pool are very nice and unique.
the hotel claims to be a 5 star hotel. we booked a standard room. it was quite worn down and very small we even had problems where to put the second luggage as there is only space for one.
bed is hard like the floor. a large water damage on the ceiling and wall was poorly overpainted, instead of being fixed.
lots of rust stains on the lamps, very noisy ac aggregate mounted on the roof above the room that actually belongs to the neighboring room caused a very disturbed night.
beware of booking a standard room!

Everything was fantastic from the moment we arrived with staff greeting us on the doorstep at midnight to opening up early for us at 6am when we eft. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were spacious, the bed and shower luxurious and the pool clean and cool. The location was perfect and over all it was surprisingly quiet as all the rooms are set back from the busy street. A great 3 night stay.

Everything - location, interior, service, pool. The hotel is a real oasis in the center of Merida, the staff was always polite and friendly. Won't go wrong if you choose it!

Great experience...what makes the difference is the super friendly staff (thank you Alberto for making us feel at home), great cocktails at the bar, beautiful hotel grounds and rooms...we would have loved to stay longer!

no complaints.

very nice courtyard, pools, lawn, furniture, art. In the morning excellent coffee and breakfast is available at a modest price
the pools receive very little sun so the water is chilly.

The breakfast was wonderful! And Jesus was so great.
Lucia and Armando were great front staff. I felt like family being on this property. And they were very patient with me practicing my Spanish and using my translation app.
Consider removing the wrought iron fixtures in the rooms. I was injured when I scraped my leg on the towel rack at the sink. I had the staff get me first aid products and requested a new room. The owner was apologetic. The new room was great EXCEPT the hardware on the bathroom door was more rusty wrought iron. I inder from a decor perspective, but safety should come before that.

We loved this hotel. The staff were brilliant, they were so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is in a great location, close to the city centre. The hotel has two excellent swimming pools and the room was comfortable and well equipped. We wish we had stayed longer. Excellent hotel.
Everything was great

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Haciends Merida. The room was very comfortable and the bed and shower just perfect! Therefore we can recommend staying here!
We extended our stay for one night, but had to change room to lower standard class (which we knew - and for a lower price). The bed in this room wasn't as nice and the room was a little moldy. Wouldn't recommend staying in THIS room - but I think it is also not available via booking.

Beautiful hacienda, staff were very nice
Couldn't drink a beer by the pool (unless purchased from the hotel itself), no smoking policy

Great little hotel. Friendly and easygoing staff, beautiful pool and lounge, good wifi, room was big and a huge bathroom. Plentiful hot water. Great location between the Centro Historico and the Paseo de Montejo. It’s on a busy street but the hotel is amazingly quiet.

we stayed in an Executive Room (1) on the ground floor with the pool just outside. not overly private but the hotel didn't seem full and we loved the room inside and out.
you step out of the hotel straight onto a narrow path - like most hotels in Merida I guess. you need to have your wits about you! might have been nice to be told more about the local area and walking routes, best shopping areas and restaurants. it was a bit of trial and error on our part as staff's English wasn't brilliant.

I searched for a hotel in Merida with a bathtub. This was at the top of the list. The site says the Suite has a bathtub and shower. We checked in to only find a shower. The hotel told me to contact Booking. Booking pointed the finger at the hotel. In the end I didn't get what I paid extra for. I could've booked a regular room instead of the suite or booked at another hotel if this listing was correct.

The location of the hotel is great and in close proximity to the main plaza. The concierge (Alberto) is super helpful and accommodating. Free and secured parking is provided just around the corner.
The room could use an update, albeit some people may argue the oldness is part of this Spanish style accommodation.

The hotel was perfect for our stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast and able to cool off in the pool.
Because of the hotel being full we would loose water in the morning because everyone’s taking showers

There wasn't anything I didn't like
