One of the most cleanest motels I have stayed at in a long time. Everything was neat and tidy and new looking. Beds were comfy. Great looking swimming pool, clean and fresh-looking water. Staff friendly and helpful. Great central place to stay to see the wider Wairarapa.

Staff are amazing, the entire motel is clean and welcoming and it has everything you need.
I loved that the bed is firm, so had an amazing sleep and shower pressure was awesome for my long hair

Without doubt this would be in the Top 2 motels that we stay at and we stay at a lot with our travelling for work.
Greeted in a happy manner (despite the freezing weather) on arrival and the motel unit was exceptional. This is real value for money given that it ranks with 5 star motels.

The room was warm, comfortable and super clean. We had a family room with three beds, 2 double beds and 1 single and this suited 3 adult family members. Would definitely stay at the Matador again.

Everything was close by cafes and bars.
The owners were so accommodating.
It was beautiful out by the pagoda and the pool is heated.
Had families there with there tamariki and they were happy with their stay as well.
It was quiet and relaxing and was ready for mahi well rested.
