Location, Breakfast, Room, Views - Everything was amazing

Being next to Laundry (we definitely could hear it in our room) - The balcony definitely needs an upgrade, the floor had a major crack. Beds in room wouldn’t stay still due to wheels and also the bases were scratched up

Great view and convenient location

They charged for paying on a debit card - not made clear by reception there would be a charge not just for credit but also debit cards. You need to look for the little sign somewhere at the reception area that explains this.

How small the beds are for two people

Stayed on the 5th floor and had a great view over the harbour from my arm chair and the little crescent table. The AC was not really needed but nice to have. Bathroom was spacious and well cleaned. Staff is very helpful and very friendly.

The corridors are a bit small for the you to get around with your luggage so in a group you might have issues if you only have one pack mule.

Hotel ist definitiv in die Jahre gekommen, überall abgestoßene Ecke , zerkratzte Türen usw. Sieht man halt als aufmerksamer Hinschauer. Frühstück bis 9:30 h geht gar nicht. Empfang top, Rest des Personals, das wir getroffen haben, so la la.

The soundproofing of the room was excellent. The buffet breakfast is world class.

One small “attention to detail” issue with cleaning. As is often the case in hotels, there was a buildup of dust/lint on high horizontal surfaces - eg, on the top of the shower curtain rail - not great if you fling your towel over it.

Check-in was met with an excellent service. Booked 2 separate rooms (superior and deluxe harbourview twin) without knowing that the rooms were located in 2 separate buildings. Since it was impossible to be far from my young kids (and separate building), check in staff were able to work out some miracle and upgraded the other room to another deluxe harbourview room at no additional charge. Perfect! Rooms overlooking the harbour was just beautiful. Rooms were big with 2 large double beds (separated by the bathroom so each bed had a little crook of privacy and 1 room could have fit all 4 of us) comfy bed, enough amenities and water pressure in the bathroom were strong enough to have a good long shower/bath. Morning view from the balcony overlooking the harbour was awesome to stare at with a cuppa.

the main reason for choosing this hotel was the view and location, it is walking distance to the city centre and main attractions, however the room was tired. The staff are pleasant but not informed about the local area. didn’t have a bus time table but was able to give the website which is helpful but would’ve been handier to have it listed in the hotel room somewhere. the restaurant which has a wonderful view was closed the night I stayed, Tuesday, and the front desk staff didn’t know that. FYA. it’s closed Mondays and Tuesdays for dinner. Had the lobby menu for dinner and sat in a boring room with no view.

Staff at the restaurant seemed like they wanted to get home & we were an inconvenience, then on check out morning had a knock on the door to ask when we were leaving (it was 9:15am)!

Our room was not ready when we arrived which was frustrating as it was well outside the agreed time . It appears that the rooms had not been cleaned in time .
