We enjoyed our stay. My son particularly liked the selection of kids' books, and we all enjoyed the beautiful views! Susan is very warm and helpful. A lovely person. She accommodated our Keto diet by providing low carb bread ( beyond expectations) and provided a very generous breakfast. The unit is clean and comfortable, with all one needs to enjoy and relax after a day of hiking or sightseeing. The very cute doggo-Mia is gorgeous, too. Thanks, Mia and Hosts. It was memorable and relaxing.

Carmel and Seigi were the perfect caring and attentive hosts! Carmel was knowledgeable with local information and very welcoming. Seigi was very kind and hospitable and cooks a perfect breakfast with everything home made includimg bread, jams and muesli. The view from the bedroom windows are absolutely spectacular and watching the sun rise and set was amazing. The bedrooms were beautiful with fine linen and very comfortable bed and pillows . The bathroom has beautiful with luxurious towels and lovely products to use . The furnishings are modern and tasteful with access to you own kitchenette and lounge room . The access to Coromandel was ideal and my girlfriend and I had the perfect day trip from Fantail Hill . My girlfriend and I would highly recommended a stay !

Carmel and Siegfried were wonderful hosts. The breakfast they provided each day was sumptuous and they were very helpful in recommending places to visit in the Coromandel area. The views from the property were stunning and the sunsets something to behold. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Immaculate condition. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, lots of extras including bathroom accessories, spare different choice of pillows, lots of spare towels etc. Beautiful outdoor area with stunning views, table chairs, loungers.

Better clarity around breakfast choices. Suggest an ordering system with those choices. Tick off preferences, and leave in specified place (ie box at front door), by a specified time.

The view of the harbour is beautiful. Hosts are very friendly and provided a generous European breakfast.

Carmel, Sig and Mia have a lovely home with fantastic views across Thames. Having dinner on their deck watching the sun set is magical. They made our family very welcome, and our rooms well appointed.

It rained a bit!

We were expecting a little more for breakfast as other reviews mentioned a cooked breakfast. Some fruit would have been nice. But we did enjoy the bread.

Screens on the windows would be helpful as the mosquitoes bothered us but it was too warm to close them.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fantail Hill. The hosts were very accommodating and even let us check-in earlier. They also let us use their barbecue. What we liked best was the view from the rooms and the terrace and also the fact that everything was really clean. It was the perfect place to start our New Zealand trip.

It wasn't as private as we thought

Gorgeous views from the top of a hill over Thames, with a panoramic view from windows on three sides of the accomodation. Very clean with super comfortable beds, and very friendly hosts. Siegfried makes the best bread in the Southern Hemisphere and possibly the north! The cooked breakfast is excellent. I’ll stay here each time I am in Thames. Just a few insects getting in at night. But a happy trade-off for the location nestled right next to the bushes.

The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. The surrounding garden top notch and the views amazing! Our hosts were very friendly. We loved hanging out with Siggy and Mia the dog at breakfast time. The muesli, homemade bread and eggs were superb.
