We had our grandchildren and all they wanted to do was swim. You advertised a heated pool. We called every day to SPI as the pool was full of sand and freezing. The pool maintenance finally came the day we were leaving. Place is kind of run down. One living room chair had a leg off. Rust marks all over. Bedrooms and bathrooms were super nice. Loved location and the beach was perfect for walking.

Love SPI! Best customer service-Everyone from check in to every restaurant/bar, fishing, shopping, rescues & check out was friendly! Beautiful home right on the beach! Can't wait to come back!

Excellent place to stay with you family, the house has evrything, the house is in a perfect place!! Just check the remote controls for the tv, sometimes they didn't work fine.

It was great place we enjoyed our vacation to the fullest!! It would be nice if you get your cleaning crew to do a little more cleaning the restrooms weren't very pleasant other than that everything was great!!

Great house and location. Entire family enjoyed and we had all ages. Only thing it needed was an outdoor shower or easy access to water to rinse off sand. Would definitely go again.

Great location right on the sand, near a beachfront bar and grill, and umbrella and chair rentals. Lots of room inside with more than enough bathrooms. Easily sleeps 12. The only negatives were: the pool and hot tub worked intermittently, and the sliding doors were very difficult to move.

Our family fully enjoyed this beach house as we celebrated our son graduating from medical school. The house was spacious and accommodated all of us in a warm environment! Loved the beach front access and pool/ spa the most. We will return and recommend this property!

The staff was amazing!! Maintenance was on top of things, very quick to respond. The reason I gave above average not excellent was a few little things. There is a cement tile missing from the hot tub. There was a bunch of wires hanging out of the wall in the closet in the downstairs bedroom. The storm shades were covering the window in the master bedroom blocking the view from the bath tub. I just think for this type of property those should have been taken care of. It would also be nice to have a mop and dust pan to help keep the floors clean from all of the sand. Other wise we had a wonderful stay!!!

This is an excellent rental for up to 12. Loved the location - just steps from the beach.

Great beach access and right next door to bar/restaurant. The place was clean and had plenty of common space for our group of 8. Pool and hot tub were a nice perk. Would definitely recommend!

Such a relaxing home away from home! There were a few things that we shared with the property manager when checking out and he was very happy with our feedback.

We spent summer in a similar house ,but Christmas at this House and is way better. We love the location, everything worked perfect( appliances ,etc) , although was frozen outside ,the house did not even need heater ,is perfectly insulated for winter in front of the beach. My family and I were very happy and enjoyed the holidays without any problem. The house and its kitchen have all we need it for a big family dinner, and made spectacular views for our unforgettable Christmas reunion.

Overall the property was impressive. There were a few minor details that could make one's stay even better. I would suggest bringing a power strip, there are not a lot of exposed outlets.

We enjoyed our stay, the place met our needs, had private bathrooms (a plus). The pool was great for it gave my grandchildren option if not wanting to go to the beach. We would love to come back.

This house is perfectly situated for everything you want to do in SPI. This was our second time to rent this unit due it's location and size. We have 3 kids and 3 grandkids and they love the fact that the house is on the beach and it has a pool and hot tub to keep the everyone busy day and night.

This beautiful home made quite an impression with our trip! Once you walk in, you have an amazing open space and great view of the pool and ocean in the background. The house is just STEPS away from the beach with its own private boardwalk to the beach. Kitchen is modern with a drip coffee machine (no keurig coffee maker, so bring your own if you are a fan) so bring your coffee filters and coffee grounds. OR, there is a cute coffee shop literally a block away, CAFE KARMA, that many in our household enjoyed each morning. TIP: The Viking refrigerator has a lip on the right door that will rip if you open it first. ALWAYS open the fridge with the LEFT DOOR FIRST, followed by the right door. If you open the right door first, it could tear the plastic seal resulting in poor temp control. I suggested to SPI Rentals to put a sign. The bedrooms were spacious considering there are 3 of the 5 bedrooms have King beds. Each bedroom has their own private bathroom. A half bath is on the first floor, great for use when you are in the pool. There is a hot tub by the pool but we could not get it warmed up. We did request an order and SPI Rentals were VERY QUICK to come in an address. We were told to use the panel inside the house and not outside by the pool pump. Despite being shown how to "turn it on", the hot tub did not heat up. I advised the management company to consider putting written instructions to use. The house is literally one lot away from WANNA WANNA bar/restaurant. We made sure to enjoy that every day were there. Despite these hiccups, we enjoyed the house very much and look forward to going back!

Out of state family had an awesome time. Loved the house.

We stayed for a week over Spring Break with 13 people total. There was plenty of room for everyone! The house was clean on arrival and in great condition. We did have to contact SPI Rental for four days in a row because the hot tub was not working, it wouldn't get over 84°. They were always quick to respond but unfortunately weren't able to get the hot tub fixed properly until our 5th day. The only other minor inconvenience was the refrigerator which didn't stay very cold, and the door was broken. However, it was a wonderful location with the beach being right at our backdoor. There is no access to the garage (just an FYI for future renters) and they do not provide beach towels or any kind of beach chairs / toys. I was not aware when I made the reservation that SPI provides a shuttle service from Harlingen Airport. Had I known, we would've utilized that service and rented golf carts instead of rental cars from the airport. All in all, it was an awesome trip for all four families, and I would definitely rent this unit again! South Padre Island provided a fun family vacation with lots of activities to do and visit, and we will be back soon!

The house was perfect.

Although the house layout was perfect for our family, unfortunately it had many issues. The appliances are all Viking, which you would expect to be working! The refrigerator door was broken causing ice to build up. The stove top did not work properly. The pots, pans and dishes were dirty. We had to wash everything. The pool was not clean and not heated. There was a problem with the hot tub. We lost electric in the entire house because the breaker needed to be replaced. The ground fault outlets stopped working because we had 3 hair dryers going at the same time. The house was not very clean. It’s really a shame that so many of these issues occurred and greatly inconvenienced our family vacation. Michael from SPI Rentals was quick to address most issue, however, most were not able to be resolved. Service people were at the home at least 5 times. Parts were on order and not available Compensation was given. The house really needs a “vacation” from renters to be brought up to standard.

Overall great stay with extended family over five days. Had a few maintenance issues which were responded to quickly. Great space to spread out as well as good space for family time and games. Hot tub was nice despite cooler temps. Beach views were great. Very low water pressure especially in master suite upstairs, so recommend the lower floor bedroom if you want a little higher pressure. Great location -close to SPI birding center and turtle rescue as well as restaurants and stores. Thanks for a great time!

We stayed at the town home with my college classmates. The unit is so spacious, the amenities, the location are impressive . My friends who came from different states are so impressed. On the last day of our stay, one of the drawers of the dresser got stucked . I called the office and in less than 15 minutes , maintainance staff came and fixed the problem.I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Six of us stayed here for a girls trip. The location and view are unbeatable. We loved being able to hear the live music from the bar and grill next door while we were in the pool area as it wasn’t too loud. So nice to have that privacy wall but still have a wonderful view of the gulf. The only negative is how very little the condo comes with in terms of towels and supplies. For the cost, I really don’t understand why they wouldn’t at least leave one trash bag per day of rental. We were there 4 nights and went through the two bags they left us by the second day. When I asked for more they basically said no! Luckily bar and grill next door was willing to give us some. Also wish they would supply enough towels to be used in the pool area. They did, however, bring us a few more kitchen towels upon request. The rental company is the only reason I’m giving this a 4 star instead of 5. The beds were comfortable and it was nice for each of us to have our own bathroom. The hot tub never got really hot but got hot enough. All in all we would definitely stay there again!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Home was very clean and beautiful. Great location and plenty of space for 3 families that stayed here. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a wonderful house, set right on the beach, which proved to be the perfect location for our annual family beach getaway week. We had complete privacy for family time and were conveniently close to any amenities and shops for any needs that came up during our stay. Additional non-beach activities and sights were also close at hand to provide a wide range of things to do over the week we were vacationing. We thoroughly enjoyed the warm waters and seasonal temperatures and would happily visit again.

There was 12 of us that stayed in this house. It had lots of room for all of us and worked out perfectly. Whenever we had a concern staff was there immediately to address it. Kudos to them!! I would recommend staying here if you have a large group.

This is a beautiful home in a great location and we would definitely stay here again. It has modern design, a fabulous pool and hot tub, great views, and beach accessibility, and large rooms. Lots of indoor and outdoor comfortable seating and a TV in every room. Really liked how each room has its own en suite, and the bunk beds, while we didn't use them, were a nice addition for more sleeping space. We loved how close it was to the Wanna Wanna and the beach chair rental place. That said, the home needs some minor repairs that would greatly improve the convenience of staying here. 1. None of the exterior doors work properly: the walking door to the garage won't open, the front door was exceptionally hard to lock and took up to 5 minutes to manipulate, and the back sliding doors never locked for us. 2. The kitchen faucet barely trickled water, and when it did work a little, it made a horrible noise. 3. The upstairs master bedroom shower drain was very plugged and left standing water in the bottom of the shower. 4. The beds did not have mattress covers, just sheets on a bare mattress, which is not very sanitary in a rental. 5. The kitchen was rather small for a house of this size, and it made it tough for more than one person to work in there at any given time. Will definitely rent again, but hope the company makes some improvements.

Beautiful house. Family reunion for 3 families with 9 people total - ages 14 to 74. Each had own bedroom. Common room was wonderful for all to hang out together. Access to beach was great. Loved sitting on patio and seeing the ocean. Lots of fun in the pool while not at the beach. We did no cooking while there - cereal for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and dinner out. Easy access to the events we wanted to do during the day. Rented a golf cart - highly recommended - and used this to get around the island. Check in was a nightmare with having to go back 4 times since given the wrong keys. Also be sure to bring your own beach towels as only 1 towel per person is provided. And we brought our own coffee maker - makes 12 cups. The one provided made only 5 cups and that is not near enough for us. The beds were comfortable and glad each room had their own bath. Plus the view from the common room to the ocean was wonderful. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect place for a family vacation. It would be very helpful if there were instructions in the rooms for how to work the TVs and the different remotes. No one was able to watch tv from their bedrooms. Also recommend that you place a sign in the house reminding guests that glass is not allowed on the beach...and they do not issue warnings - they just provide an instant citation.

Beautiful beachfront condo, with plenty of space for our family. Would love to stay here again!

We had a marvelous time, plenty of room private baths for each bedroom was a huge plus! Kitchen could use more mixing bowls/ containers to store food. It was a bit of a challenge as much as we cooked ! Would highly recommend
