a bit of a challenge without an elevator. but worth it!

Location was perfect, right on the fjord, close to Flam and hiking routes. Communication very good, receprionist exreemly helpfull, clean and nice room, excellent breakfast, very good restaurant, all in all we loved it being here.

Great location and beautiful views off the balcony. Rooms were nice (though cozy, of course). The staff was friendly and the breakfast was plentiful. The restaurant makes quite good food (though it’s pricey, as is standard in Norway). The staff helped us get our bags upstairs in the service elevator.

Excellent breakfast with many choices. Hotel was easy to find. Lovely balcony with chairs and table and nice view over fjord & mountains (and a few houses.) Room was clean, comfortable and reasonable size. At this time of year there were few choices for dinner in town. We ate dinner at the hotel and enjoyed our meal.

Definitely a business hotel feel but everyone was very friendly. The stairs were no problem for us but keep in mind there is no elevator.

The view. The food and the staff were excellent. There was no TV in the room but in reality it was not necessary. The location is what you are there to enjoy. The trip up to the viewing point is a must. Make sure to book a room with a balcony and a view

You can't have a beer beside the water, but this is minor issue. Hotel delivers on all fronts.

Very comfortable bed. Clean room. Receptionist very kind and helpful. Since we were only guests in hotel during our stay, there was no breakfast bife, but we could order anything we liked and the food was good. There was no TV in the room but we didnt mind that.

fab location, nice balcony to relax on, great views of the fjord, good shower, restaurant was good, friendly staff, great breakfast available.

sadly no beef burger available and we had been looking forward to that all day. but there were tasty options on the menu for dinner.

The hotel is well maintained and in a quiet part of town, with amazing views of the fjords to wake up to every morning. Excellent breakfasts and very polite front desk staff.

Location, view, breakfast. Restaurant had amazing food, would come back just for that mushroom risotto. Everything was clean and pretty and friendly staff. Lovely place, would love to come back

Room didn't have a TV, which could have been nice. Who doesn't love to fall asleep to a netflix episode :)

Being told that last sitting for dinner was 6.30pm on a Saturday night. Very difficult to get to and from if you were not driving yourself by car.

The proximity to the water. Beautiful view from the room (despite the parking lot). The staff at the restaurant.

The parking lot in front of my balcony. However, if you look at the right angle it's less of an issue.

Location is excellent. Short drive to Flam, Stagestein, etc. yet in a small quiet town. Room is remodeled.

Room space is tight. No TV. No closet. No desk though these are not important to me so I did account for these in the rating. No elevator. They put us in the 4th floor and I see much younger guys in the lower floors. Other hotels we stayed, when there is no elevator, they have staffs carrying the luggage to the room. This hotel does not offer this service.

Good location

Terrible value for money! The hotel appears to charge a premium because of its location, with no competition. The hotel itself is ok but parts of it like the hallways and hallway carpets are very dated. The rooms and the dining area are more modern and nice. The hotel is four floors high but there is no lift.
