Beautiful historical building, exceptional staff (super polite, friendly and always ready to help the guests with their requests. Marvelous breakfast. Extremely convenient location (close to all the sights and restaurants). Very nice shops with artisanal products.

Everything! The grounds were well kept in a good location. when you first arrive, you are greeted by Bell hops that are dressed the part. The staff overall was great. Carlos was assigned to walk me to my room and he gave me such a personalized experience. I would go back for the staff alone. They really make you feel special. I always felt safe. They also have a wide variety for breakfast and it was always good.

Honestly, everything was good. If I has to say anything, it would be that you have to keep the room pretty cold too avoid condensation on the floor, but Cartagena is hot in general so this is expected.

The ideal location to stay in the walled city. Beautiful facilities and the staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is really one of best you could ask for. We were just passing through for one night but already booked our next stay here to stay longer.

The staff was so attentive and kind. Everyone addressed us by name and truly enhanced the experience. Property and location were perfect. Very upscale but still maintained a historic and charming feeling.

Breakfast in the old courtyard was delightful, the room was big and very comfortable, coffee machine and kettle in the room, the pool and gym were very good, great service from the staff, lovely old buildings.

Bikes in the gym were out of order. The 10% service charge on the total bill was unexpected: it was clearly presented as optional but I would prefer not to be surprised at checkout.

Truly excellent and professional staff, who provided great recommendations of things to do around Cartagena. Excellent location in the heart of the walled city of Cartagena, exceptional staff and all round wonderful venue. This came highly recommended by friends and we have further recommended this to other family and friends.

A small area of the of the building is going under renovation as result there was a cordoned area that make looks a bit messy otherwise is a stunning building with an amazing history through the centuries.

The staff and the facilities were excellent and in a great location.

We booked a six course tasting menu in the 400 year old convent dining room the 1621. When we arrived we were told that they had over booked and we would be eating outside with no AC and a weddding disco blasting behind us. As we booked late that day it was clear they knew they had no indoor space at the time of booking. This was the only disappointment in an otherwise really excellent stay.

beautiful setting in a converted old convent (worth a visit even if not staying overnight), very charming. lovely staff, super caring (thank you Jimmy, I even got to practice my very rough Spanish:). delicious food (breakfast especially), fabulous cocktails at El Coro bar. amazing pool - one of fews I actually want to stay at the whole day.

Lovely hotel, amazing pool and food, only gripe is the rooms are a touch small for what is a very expensive hotel, but I do understand as its situated within a monastery. The staff are amazing, and the location, plants and general atmosphere in the hotel is superb. The kids club is great as a place for the kids to hang out. The gym is very good, pool is large, and the team looking after you at the pool are superb. Its a little noisy at night, as its close to the road, and as mentioned its not cheap.
