Lovely hostel right in the centre of San Gil but still nice and quiet at night. Great breakfast and delicious cocktails with happy hour. Room was comfortable. The staff are the best, so friendly and helpful, they organised all the activities and buses for us. Highly recommend!

There's not much I can say. It was very quiet but I'll always remember it as one of the best hostels I've ever been to. The building is amazing and the staff, oh man, everyone was so nice and helpful. Thanks to Manuél, Juan, Luis, Laura and everyone else who works there. Highly recommended!!!!!

We only spent two nights at La Casona Don Juan and everything was great ! The atmosphere is really nice in this hotel, happy hour, spanish lessons, spaces to rest or chat with others travelers : everything is done to have a good time. The team is at the top, they were always there if we needed them and they helped us make our bus reservations and gave us lots of information on things to see and do in San Gil and its surroundings. And to finish the breakfasts as well as the meals we had were delicious !!! Thanks to Manuel and Laura and it is without hesitation that we recommend La Casona Don Juan.

The only inconvenience is that we slept in a room near the bathroom so we heard people going there !

Very clean , nice coffee, quite and Emmanuel was friendly.

One of the ladies seemed a bit unfriendly towards me. Maybe she is afraid of men although I never talked to her in any way :)

Great property right in the centre of the old town so very safe. Friendly staff who help with anything and everything, and a great range of daily activities including free Spanish lessons. Great breakfast included. Reliable wifi, good size dorms, clean facilities. I would stay here again.

The only negative I have is there are no lockers to keep important belongings

Honestly this has been one of the nicest hostel's I've been to, the facilities are great, the hostel is really cool, staff are super welcoming and very helpful. There's a good restaurant on site. It's right in the center of town. Great place for solo travelers. You can book all the activities through the hostel.

The staff were absolutely amazing here, made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They gave us great advice on where to go and helped organise activities and a taxi when we were leaving. The food and drinks at the bar were delicious and great value. Excellent location in the heart of San Gil, would recommend to anyone to stay here.

Don Juan, Laura, Manuel and all the staff are amazing. Very kind and helpful to me when I lost my phone. They are very helpful with any issues you might have. Easy to book activities with and very informative about all the hiking options in and around San Gil The free breakfast is very tasty. Free tea and coffee throughout the day. Very clean hostel Lulu the hostel dog is very cute as well. Would definitely stay again!

Cold showers

Everything was so good, the staff always helpful and friendly, I want to congratulate Mayerly's service, she was really nice, gave me the best advice about food and plans to enjoy the places with my family. This hostel is highly recommended!! The location is other good point, it's close to everywhere (the main square, the bus station, food, mall shopping, etc). The facilities are amazing as well, it's an old house, we call it "Casa Colonial", however it's a mix of the classic and the new wave of international hostels, so cool.

The place is really nice and gives you an idea on colonial houses. Location is great, people are nice, breakfast is good and people are open to help with any questions you have. Can't really complaint about anything

Nothing in particular, all was good

The staff was great and even spoke English. There were activities organised, you could also book outside activities or bus tickets with them. They even give you a presentation of the town and the surroundings (what to do, where to eat, where to withdraw money, etc). The room and the shared bathrooms were really clean. The whole place was lovely and the breakfast was really good.

Good location and extremely friendly staff. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about activities in the area. Nice explanation over location and what to do. Nice garden in the back, ping-pong table and good breakfast.

Very nice common areas, several places to hang out. Good kitchen, clean. Very spacious dorm with seperat beds (not bunk beds). Good breakfast. Nice and helpful staff.

Some staff members are very friendly and give nice recommendations. At check-in we were given an overview of the activities one can do in the surrounding area, which was very helpful.

The kid of one of the employees was often watching videos at full volume on her phone, this was very annoying at breakfast and once even woke me up in the morning. Also the people serving breakfast weren't very welcoming and almost didn't speak.
