We arrived and given our room key, it wasn’t made up. We got an upgraded room, when getting into bed our bed had no sheet. Went to iron clothes for the next day, there was a pair of dirty underwear in the wardrobe. Very disappointing.

Location and dog friendly. However dogs were not allowed in bar or restaurant, so not really dog friendly.

When I arrived there was no where to pull in to unload cases and check in. Therefore had to park in nearby car park (10min walk) from hotel in rain. This car park was where they suggested,however the pedestrian exits were all closed due to Christmas. Had to walk up ramp with cases. Then subsequently had to pay for the car park. Also, lost phone and when asking reception for access to computer to contact family was told they couldn’t help. A care less attitude. Kicked out of bar with dog when asking resident for access to their phone. Terrible experience. Felt completely helpless jn a city I didn’t know.

The room was great, very comfy. Good that dogs were allowed. Good breakfast.

Felt it was a shame to be charged £20 per night for the dog. I'm always a bit suspicious of this as surely a room is cleaned properly after each stay! We probably left it cleaner than most people who don't have a dog! The reception staff weren't the most friendly, apart from one who was there the morning we left. We came and went quite a lot during our short stay, but not once did reception staff look up from the computer to say hello. The breakfast staff were really friendly.

Not much to dislike, 11.00 am checkouts on weekends?? Breakfast had a good selection of fruit etc, and the hit breakfast selection was also very good but staff member seemed overwhelmed maybe he was new to the job

The hotel was lovely, close to everything and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Room was dark and dingy with the odd cobweb or two. Cleanliness not good sink was all cracked . Bar didn’t have any Baileys was explained why but to blame Brexit hmmm. Receptionist was nice but definitely a lot more training needed .

price and single beds,I’m 6ft 2” and over 16 stone, I haven’t slept in a single bed since I was around 10 years old and didn’t sleep a wink as I thought I would fall out of the bed if I tried to roll on my side,worst hotel sleep I’ve ever had and to charge £220 for that room is an absolute disgrace. I will never stay here again I went through the usual process of trying to book a bigger room and got the usual only one room left so booked it and at the last second told me the room was no longer available but we do have a twin room at the same price “how convenient for the hotel “ what I didn’t realise was a twin bed in North America is like a double in the UK but I was put in a single bed,my mind is still blown 5 days later,worst hotel stay ever and I’m in my 50s .
